Our air conditioning service in CR0

Thinking about air conditioning but not sure where to start? Just ring 07833 053749, or email if that’s easier with pictures of the rooms and the outside of the property, and you’ll hear back from us the same working day about a survey or a fixed-price quote. The work covers multi-split systems, air-to-air heat pumps and ceiling cassettes, and common reasons people get in touch are an office, shop or restaurant that’s uncomfortable for staff and customers and a home office that warms up with screens and equipment.

Refrigerant work is done by qualified engineers working for an F-Gas certified company, and electrical work is done by us as NICEIC approved contractors. So on the day, you do not need a separate electrician for the electrical side. On site, it takes anything from a day for one room to several days for a multi-room or ducted system.

  1. We survey the property, or work from your photos for a simple job.
  2. The system is sized, positions are agreed and the price is fixed.
  3. Sheets go down first, then the indoor unit and the condenser are mounted.
  4. We run and connect the pipes, cable and drain, then pressure test and evacuate the circuit.
  5. The system is commissioned, the controls explained and the F-Gas records handed over.

How we quote

One room or a whole building, we price it on the same basis: what needs doing, how we get to it and what it needs. The price is fixed before any work starts, with VAT shown clearly.

What you get with us

  • Listed on Checkatrade
  • Diagnosis first, then a fixed price
  • Emergency calls taken 24/7
  • MCS certified heat pump installers

Ask for a quote

Quoting starts with a diagnosis, from a site survey or, where the job is straightforward, from photos and measurements. After that, we send a fixed price so you know the cost before we begin.

Where we install in CR0

In CR0, we install in places such as London, Croydon and Broad Green and well beyond. We cover every place we list for CR0, 28 in all.

Refrigerant work is done by F-gas qualified engineers for a certified company, and the electrics come under our NICEIC approval.

London: Around St George the Martyr, a quick check of the listing and conservation maps is part of planning any install. Mansion House, about 1 mile north, is one of the historic houses nearby, and if your own home is listed, consent comes before any air conditioning is fixed to it.

When something else is needed

We will not sell you work that does not address the problem, so here are the limits:

  • Damp or condensation caused by leaks or poor ventilation in the building (that needs the cause fixing)
  • An installation that needs consent nobody has given yet
  • Central heating repairs

What the work involves, system by system

Multi-split systems

With a multi-split, one outdoor unit serves two or more rooms. It saves wall space outside and suits homes where several rooms need cooling and each indoor unit has its own controls.

Offices, shops and commercial rooms

Commercial rooms often need more than one unit and controls that suit how the space is used. We size for the people, equipment and glazing in the space, and plan the work so the business keeps running.

Keeping the system healthy

Every system needs looking after, and most of it is easy. A few tips:

  • Keep to the service interval the manufacturer recommends
  • Never run the system with the filters out
  • Flag any change in how the system sounds or performs
  • Don’t cover or box in the outdoor unit

Before we leave, the system is commissioned and tested in each mode. Once it’s running properly, we take you through the controls and settings, so you are confident using it.

Do not ignore small changes. A drip, a noise or a flashing light is often an early sign of a fault, and early repairs are normally simpler.

What we are called out for in CR0

Rooms in the roof are often the hardest to keep cool. The roof takes the full force of the sun, and warm air rises from the floors below, so a bedroom or office under the roof can stay warm well into the night.

It’s time to call us if you’re dealing with:

  • Expensive direct electric heating
  • A loft conversion that is too warm to use
  • An office, shop or restaurant that is uncomfortable for staff and customers
  • Working from home in a room that gets too warm

Questions from CR0

How much does air conditioning installation cost?

A single-room split system is typically £1,200–£2,200 + VAT. A two-room multi-split is typically £2,800–£4,500 + VAT, and three to five rooms £4,500–£8,500 + VAT, with supply, fitting, commissioning and F-Gas documentation included. You get a fixed price before any work starts.

Does servicing affect my warranty?

It can, for some brands. Read the manufacturer’s terms, or send us the make and model and we’ll explain them, and book the service at the interval they recommend.

Can you look at a system you didn’t fit?

Yes. We start with a proper look and tell you honestly what we find, including anything about the original installation that needs putting right. Any work is priced before it goes ahead.

Which brands do you work with?

The main ones, including Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Hitachi. For a new system, we suggest the make and model that suit the property and explain why.

Can air conditioning heat my home as well?

In most cases, yes: modern splits are typically heat pumps, so they heat as well as cool. The Energy Saving Trust notes that air-to-air heat pumps are sometimes referred to as air conditioning. We confirm the heating function of the model we quote.

Can we book visits on a schedule?

Yes. Tell us what you have and how it’s used and we will propose a schedule and quote for it. That can include the leak checks the F-gas rules require for larger systems.

How quickly will you reply?

You’ll hear from us the same working day. If it’s an emergency, ring the 24/7 line instead.
