Our air conditioning service in CR8
Think of it as diagnose, treat and sign off: survey first, install second, commission and hand over last. At sign-off, the system is tested in each mode, the controls are explained and the F-Gas records are left with you. We’re often asked to deal with bedrooms and offices that overheat in summer and a business premises that overheats in summer, on ceiling cassettes, multi-split systems and ducted systems.
Protection comes first: sheets over the floor and any furniture nearby, and we ask before moving anything. Then the electrics are made safe and the work begins. It takes about a day for a single-room system, longer for multi-room and ducted systems, and we clear up before we go.

What you can do yourself, and what needs us
Refrigerant is off limits for anyone without the right qualifications. The law requires anyone working on equipment containing F gas to hold the right qualifications, and the company to be certified, and refrigerant lines can cause cold burns. A suspected leak is our job, not yours.
Write down what you notice: an error code, a new noise, a drip, a smell or a change in how well the system heats or cools. It makes our diagnosis quicker, and a photo or a short video of the display is even better.
Keeping the system healthy
Every system needs looking after, and most of it is easy. Our tips:
- Keep the handover documents somewhere safe
- Flag any change in how the system sounds or performs
- Keep the indoor unit’s filters clean
- Use moderate settings for comfort and economy
You get the paperwork that matters: F-Gas records, commissioning details and the manufacturer’s warranty terms. File them together, because the manufacturer or a future engineer may ask to see them.
Book an annual service. A service cleans what you cannot reach and picks up faults before they stop the system and keeps the warranty paperwork right where servicing is a condition.
Landlords, agents and facilities managers
