About AirCon Doctor
An air conditioning company based in East Grinstead, West Sussex, working across London and the South East.
AirCon Doctor installs, repairs and services air conditioning and heat pumps for homes and businesses. We’re based in East Grinstead, West Sussex, and we work across Greater London and the South East: Surrey, Kent, East and West Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire and Essex.
What we do
Installation is our main work, from a single wall-mounted unit to multi-split, ducted, cassette and VRF systems. We also repair and service all the main makes, run a 24/7 emergency line, regas systems, fit air-to-air and air-to-water heat pumps, install ventilation and MVHR, support TM44 inspections, hire out air conditioning and look after commercial systems on maintenance contracts. Our accreditations
We’re an F-Gas certified company, which is the legal requirement for any business working on equipment that contains refrigerant. We’re NICEIC approved, so the electrical side of each job, including new circuits, is done and certified by us. We’re MCS certified for heat pumps, which is what makes an installation eligible for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme. And we’re a Checkatrade member. How we work
We like to think of a job the way a good doctor thinks of a patient: look properly first, explain what you’ve found, then treat it and check it’s working.
- Diagnose. We look at the property on a site survey, or from photos and measurements for simpler jobs. We measure rooms, check where the outdoor unit can go, plan the pipe route and look at the power supply.
- Quote. You get a fixed-price quote showing the system, the unit positions, what’s included and the manufacturer’s warranty. Installation prices include supply, fitting, commissioning and F-Gas documentation.
- Treat. We carry out the installation, repair or service, protect your floors and furniture, and clear up afterwards.
- Sign off. We commission the system, record the refrigerant details for your F-Gas records, certify the electrics and show you how to use it.
Being straight with you
A few things we won’t do. We won’t promise an engineer by a set time; what we do promise is a reply to every enquiry the same working day, and our 24/7 line is there for breakdowns. We won’t invent a warranty of our own; the cover you get is the manufacturer’s, and we explain those terms brand by brand. We won’t claim manufacturer partner status we haven’t confirmed. And we won’t tell you that you don’t need permission when you might: if a job may need planning permission, listed building consent or your landlord’s agreement, we’ll say so on the survey.
We’ll also tell you when air conditioning isn’t the answer. Sometimes a room needs shading, ventilation or a smaller unit, and sometimes an older system is worth repairing rather than replacing.
