Our commercial air conditioning service in Wokingham

Most businesses need to keep trading while the work is done. Work can be done in the evening, at weekends or in phases, so the building keeps running. The timing is set out with your quote. Common call-outs are for F-gas leak checks and records that are overdue and staff complaining about the temperature, on VRF systems, ducted systems and server and comms room cooling.

You do not need to do much on the day. Someone needs to let us in and show us the units, or where they’re going, and we take it from there. Before we leave, the area is tidied and we explain what we have done.

  1. We visit the site to look at the building, how it’s used and what the system needs to do.
  2. We send a fixed-price quote showing the system, the unit positions and how the work will be phased.
  3. The work is planned around your opening hours, with out-of-hours or phased work where it helps.
  4. Indoor and outdoor units, pipework, condensate and controls are installed and the electrics connected.
  5. The system is commissioned and you receive the F-gas records, handover notes and manufacturer paperwork.

Commercial air conditioning around Wokingham

Our commercial air conditioning work across Wokingham takes in places such as Reading, Woodley and Earley and the smaller places around them. Every place on our Wokingham list (35 in all) is covered.

Our area stretches from Greater London through Surrey, Kent and Sussex to Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire and Essex, and Wokingham sits within it. You reach the same people wherever you are in it.

Reading: If you look after a church or hall such as All Nations Christian Centre, an air-to-air system that warms up quickly can suit a building used on and off, subject to the right consents. For premises near Reading West station, we plan plant positions and working hours with the landlord or managing agent first, where there is one.

Signs you need commercial air conditioning

In schools, the work has to fit around term time. Installation can be programmed for the holidays to keep teaching undisturbed.

Keep an eye out for these signs:

  • Work raised by a TM44 inspection
  • Fit-outs and refurbishments that need new air conditioning
  • Server rooms running too warm
  • Ageing air conditioning that keeps breaking down

Rented and managed buildings

Managing agents often deal with us directly. Send the address, what’s needed and how access works, and we’ll send a fixed-price quote.

Under the GB F-gas rules, responsibility for leak checks is shared between whoever operates the equipment and the engineers who work on it. In a let or managed building, it’s worth agreeing who that operator is, and we can work for either side.

Owner checks or an engineer?

Leave the units and pipework where they are. Disconnecting a system means dealing with refrigerant, which only a qualified engineer can do, and the electrics need care too. If you need something moved, we can quote for it.

Before you call us about a fault, a few checks can save a visit: is the system in the right mode, is the set temperature sensible, are the remote’s batteries working and has the breaker tripped. If a breaker trips again after you reset it, leave it off and phone us on 07833 053749 or email us.

Keeping the system healthy

A little care keeps the system in better shape. We recommend:

  • Review older R410A systems before they need major repairs
  • Plan regular servicing with a contract
  • Call about warning signs straight away
  • Note the 5-yearly TM44 date for systems over 12 kW

Handover includes a walk-through of the controls so staff can set it up properly. Simple settings make a real difference to comfort and running.

Keep filters clean and plant areas clear. Blocked filters and obstructed outdoor units make the system work harder.

Wokingham questions

How quickly will you reply?

We reply to enquiries the same working day. For a breakdown that can’t wait, call our 24/7 emergency line.

What kind of air conditioning can you install in a business?

Wall-mounted, multi-split, ducted, cassette and VRF systems from leading brands. We explain the options after a site survey.

Do you look at the job first?

Yes. Every job is looked at first, on a survey, or from your photos and details where the job is simple. Then you get a fixed-price quote.

How long does a commercial installation take?

It takes anything from a day or two for a small office to several weeks of phased work on a large building. The scale and programme decide most of it and the programme comes with your quote.

Which brands do you work with?

Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Hitachi and others. For a new system, we suggest the make and model that suit the property and explain why.

Whose job is it to check the system for leaks?

The F-gas rules share it between the equipment’s operator and the engineers who work on it. The interval depends on the refrigerant charge, measured in tonnes of CO2 equivalent: at least every 12 months from 5 tCO2e, and every 6 months from 50 tCO2e.

Do I need planning permission?

Not always. On a house, air-to-water heat pumps and, since 2025, air-to-air systems that heat as well as cool can be permitted development if they meet the conditions. Permission is more likely to come up for cooling-only units, listed buildings, flats and road-facing positions in conservation areas, and we tell you at the survey. This is general information, not legal advice.
