Our air conditioning service in East Sussex

Wall-mounted, multi-split, ducted and cassette systems are all part of what we install, with VRF for larger buildings. The right choice depends on the rooms, the building and how visible you want the indoor units to be and we talk you through it on the survey. Typical jobs include working from home in a room that gets too warm and old electric heaters you’d like to replace with something more efficient, across air-to-air heat pumps, ceiling cassettes and multi-split systems.

The work area is kept tidy throughout, with dust sheets down and offcuts and packaging cleared up. If we need to drill through a wall, we agree the spot with you first. The visit takes about a day for a single-room system, longer for multi-room and ducted systems.

  1. You send pictures, or we visit and survey the rooms and outside.
  2. Output, positions and price are settled before anything is booked.
  3. Sheets go down first, then the indoor unit and the condenser are mounted.
  4. Pipework, cable and drain are run, the circuit is connected and the pipework is pressure tested and evacuated.
  5. We commission, show you the controls and leave the F-Gas and warranty paperwork.

How we quote

Several rooms, units or sites on one quote often makes better use of the time. Mention every unit or room you need covered and we’ll price it together.

Why choose AirCon Doctor

  • Covering London and the South East
  • Clear warranty information from the manufacturer
  • Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Toshiba and more
  • A fixed price before any work starts

Get a fixed-price quote

Photos are the fastest route to a quote: the inside and outside of the property where the work is, plus the rating plate of any unit already there. Add the address and what you’d like done, and simple jobs can often be priced without a visit.

Air conditioning around East Sussex

In East Sussex, we install in places such as Eastbourne, Hastings and Bexhill-on-Sea and well beyond. We cover every place we list for East Sussex, 289 in all.

We are based in East Grinstead and work across London and the South East, East Sussex included. Every job starts with a site survey or pictures, then a fixed-price quote. Parts of East Sussex are on or near the coast, where salt air is hard on outdoor units. We choose positions and fixings with that in mind.

Eastbourne: Close to Hampden Park station? A small study or box room used for work can typically be cooled with a single indoor unit. Around St Andrew, a quick check of the listing and conservation maps is part of planning any install.

Looking after your system

Every system needs looking after, and most of it is easy. A few tips:

  • Keep the F-Gas records, commissioning details and warranty information together
  • Choose a comfortable set temperature rather than the lowest
  • Clean the filters every few weeks when the system is in heavy use
  • Never run the system with the filters out

Before we leave, the system is commissioned and tested in each mode. We check it’s running as the manufacturer intends, then show you the controls and the timer so you know how to get the best from it.

Have the system serviced once a year. The engineer cleans the coils and drain, checks the electrics and the refrigerant circuit and catches small problems early and keeps the warranty paperwork right where servicing is a condition.

What air conditioning cannot fix

Some problems need a different service or another trade:

  • Gas boiler or central heating faults (we do not work on gas boilers)
  • Draughts and missing insulation
  • A lack of fresh air (most split systems recirculate room air rather than bringing fresh air in, which is a job for ventilation)

Different systems, different jobs

Outdoor unit positions

Outdoor units are fitted on wall brackets, at ground level or on a flat roof, whatever suits the building and the route. It needs space around it to breathe and for an engineer to work on it.

Electrical supply

Most systems need their own circuit from the consumer unit. We are NICEIC approved, so we fit and certify the circuit ourselves and that covers the Part P side.

What happens if it’s left?

For homeowners, timing can matter for VAT: installing energy-saving materials in residential accommodation is zero-rated until 31 March 2027, then 5%. Whether a particular system qualifies depends on the facts, so we confirm the VAT on your quote. This is general information, not tax advice.

Questions to ask before you book

  • Whether you get F-Gas records where refrigerant is involved
  • Whose warranty applies, and on what terms
  • Whether the price is fixed or an estimate
  • What’s in the price and what is not

Common questions in East Sussex

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes. From one rented home to commercial buildings, we work the same way: a look first, a fixed-price quote and written records.

What warranty do I get?

Warranty is the manufacturer’s own, on its terms. Each brand sets its own conditions and periods, so we explain them on your quote.

Do you provide F-Gas records?

Yes, on every job. New installations come with commissioning details, F-Gas records and warranty information, and repairs and services get a record of the work.

Do you cover East Sussex?

Yes. We work in East Sussex, within the London and South East area we cover. For a fixed-price quote, call 07833 053749 or fill in the contact form.

Which manufacturers do you install and repair?

Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Hitachi and others. For a new system, we suggest the make and model that suit the property and tell you why.

What size air conditioning unit do I need?

We size each room on the survey, from its size, glazing, orientation and use. An undersized unit never catches up, and an oversized one cycles and wastes energy and we explain the output we recommend.

Do you work on systems someone else installed?

Yes. We look at it first and tell you what we find, including any issues with how it was fitted. Any work is priced before it goes ahead.
