Air con installation in E3

Air conditioning across E3: what to expect

We approach an installation much as a doctor approaches a patient: survey first, install second, commission and hand over last. At sign-off, the system is tested in each mode, the controls are explained and the F-Gas records are left with you. We are often asked to deal with a home office that warms up with screens and equipment and a loft room or top floor that bakes in summer, on wall-mounted split systems, multi-split systems and air-to-air heat pumps.

You don’t need to do much on the day. Someone needs to let us in and show us the units, or where they’re going, and the rest is down to us. Before we leave, the area is tidied and we explain what we have done.

  1. Diagnosis comes first, with a survey of the rooms, outside space and fuse board.
  2. Then the prescription: the right system and size for each room, on a fixed-price quote.
  3. Then the work: units up, pipes and drain run, and a new circuit where necessary.
  4. Checks: a pressure test for leaks, then a vacuum to clear moisture.
  5. Finally, the clean bill of health: commissioning, the controls explained and your paperwork handed over.

How we quote

Whatever the property, the quote works the same way: what’s needed, how we reach it, the parts and the labour. Call for a fixed-price quote and we will explain each part.

What you get with us

  • We work on all the leading brands
  • Manufacturer’s warranty terms explained on your quote
  • Every job looked at before it’s priced
  • NICEIC approved for electrical work

Getting a quote

For air conditioning in E3, ring us on 07833 053749, or email if that’s easier. Let us know the type of property and what you need, plus some photos if they’re to hand. Enquiries get a reply the same working day.

Near you in Mile End

Typical jobs here are in properties near Central Foundation Girls' School, Mile End Park and Malmesbury Primary School and the streets around them. Also close by are Beatrice Tate School (under half a mile south-east), Holy Trinity Church (within half a mile north-west) and Lord Tredegar Public House (under half a mile north). Mile End’s nearest station is Limehouse station, roughly 0.9 miles south. A little further out are St Clement's Hospital (under half a mile north-east) and Museum of the Book (0.8 miles south). Open spaces near Mile End include Old Ford Island and Tower Hill.

Where we install in E3

Across E3, from Stratford, Hackney and Bethnal Green to the villages, homes range from older terraces and cottages to new estates and flats. We survey every property before we quote, then a fixed-price quote.

London and the South East cover everything from city flats to rural cottages. We’re F-Gas certified, NICEIC approved and MCS certified for heat pumps.

Mile End: If you commute from Limehouse station and work from home on other days, one wall-mounted unit in the home office is often all that’s needed. About 1.8 miles north-west stands Sutton House. Listed homes in any area need consent first, so tell us if yours is one.

Leave it or put it right?

For homeowners, timing can matter for VAT: HMRC zero-rates the installation of energy-saving materials in homes until 31 March 2027, after which the rate becomes 5%. HMRC says most air conditioning units are air source heat pumps, but each case depends on the facts, so we confirm the VAT on your quote. This is general information, not tax advice.

Comparing quotes

  • Which brand and model they’re proposing, and why
  • What paperwork you will receive afterwards
  • How extra work would be agreed if they find something unexpected
  • Whether they hold F-Gas company certification, not just individual qualifications

After we have gone

Simple habits make a real difference. We recommend:

  • Book an annual service
  • Refit filters properly after cleaning
  • Close windows and doors while the system is cooling
  • Choose a comfortable set temperature rather than the lowest

If anything isn’t right after we’ve gone, call us on the same number. Tell us what the system is doing, and any code on the display, and we will talk it through with you.

Set it and leave it. A moderate set temperature cools the room just as well as the lowest one, without the waste, and close windows and doors while it’s cooling.

What air conditioning can’t fix

Before you book, it helps to know what’s not included:

  • An installation that needs consent nobody has given yet
  • Damp or condensation caused by leaks or poor ventilation in the building (that needs the cause fixing)
  • Gas boiler or central heating faults (we do not work on gas boilers)

Managing agents and facilities teams in E3

Landlords, letting agents and managing agents book us, not only the people who live or work in the property. Tell us who the contact on site is and who should receive the paperwork, and we will keep everyone informed.

Whether it’s one property or many, the approach is the same: a look at the job first, a fixed-price quote, work booked with the occupier and written records afterwards.

Common questions in E3

What warranty do I get?

It’s the manufacturer’s warranty, which varies by brand. For example, Daikin’s standard warranty on split air conditioning is 2 years and we explain the terms for your brand on the quote.

Do you have a 24/7 line?

Yes. If something urgent happens, like water coming from a unit or a critical room overheating, call our 24/7 line and we’ll agree what happens next.

Can I do any of the installation myself?

No, not the refrigerant side. Under the F-gas rules, it must be done by qualified engineers from a certified company, and a new electrical circuit is notifiable building work unless a registered competent person does it.

Do you protect the property while you work?

Floors and furniture near the work are covered with dust sheets before we start, and the area is kept tidy throughout. Before we leave, we clear up and run through the work with you.

Can landlords and managing agents book you?

Yes. From one rented home to commercial buildings, the approach is the same: survey or diagnosis, a fixed price and proper paperwork.

Why use an F-Gas certified company?

For refrigerant work, both the engineer and the company need the right F-gas credentials. Ask to see proof before booking anyone, and we’re happy to show ours.

Which type of system should I choose?

It depends on the rooms and the building. A split suits one room, a multi-split several, a ducted system hides the unit, and a cassette spreads air across larger rooms. The survey ends with a recommendation and the reasons.
