About commercial air conditioning in West Berkshire

Commercial systems are commercial systems priced after survey. The survey covers the space, its occupancy, its heat sources and its opening hours, then send a fixed-price quote. So you know exactly what you’re getting and what it costs. Typical jobs include server rooms running too warm and buildings that can’t close for the work, on multi-split systems, ceiling cassettes and ducted systems.

There’s very little for you to do on the day. Someone needs to let us in and show us the units, or where they’re going, and the rest is down to us. Before we leave, the area is tidied and we explain what we’ve done.

  1. We survey the site and talk through how each area is used.
  2. You get our recommendation and a fixed price.
  3. We agree the timing, with evening, weekend or phased work as needed.
  4. We install the units, pipework, drainage, electrics and controls.
  5. Commissioning and handover follow, with the F-gas records and manufacturer paperwork.

What affects the price in West Berkshire

Whatever the property, the quote works the same way: the equipment, the access, the work involved and the time it takes. Ask for a fixed-price quote and we’ll explain each part.

Landmarks near Newbury

Around Newbury, our work takes us to homes and businesses near St Nicolas Church, Victoria Park and St Bartholomew's School. Nearby too are The Diamond Tap (under half a mile north-east), St Nicolas C.E. Junior School (under half a mile south) and St Bartholomew's School (0.6 miles south-west). There’s a railway station in Newbury itself: Newbury station. Nearby you’ll also find Donnington Castle (1.6 miles north-west) and West Berkshire Community Hospital (1.5 miles east). The countryside around Newbury includes Audrey's Meadow.

Commercial air conditioning across West Berkshire: local notes

In West Berkshire, we work for businesses in places such as Newbury, Thatcham and Burghfield Common and well beyond. We cover every place we list for West Berkshire, 155 in all.

Across London and the South East, we reply to enquiries the same working day, and our emergency line is open 24/7.

Newbury: If you run a surgery, clinic or pharmacy in the area around West Berkshire Community Hospital, about 1.5 miles east, cleanable, quiet units and regular maintenance matter. Before any plant goes outside a building like St Nicolas Church, its trustees may need planning or heritage advice, and we work with whoever gives it.

Looking after your system

Aftercare is straightforward, and it helps at the next service:

  • Agree sensible control settings for each area
  • Involve us at the planning stage of a refurbishment
  • Keep F-gas records together and up to date
  • Note the 5-yearly TM44 date for systems over 12 kW

Make a note of when a TM44 inspection will be due if the system is over 12 kW. When it comes round, we can get the system ready and carry out the recommendations.

Plan replacements before old systems fail, particularly where they use R410A.

For landlords and property managers

Managing agents often deal with us directly. Send the address, what’s needed and how access works, and we’ll send a fixed-price quote.

Bigger systems bring extra duties: systems with an effective rated output over 12 kW need a TM44 inspection by an accredited energy assessor at least every 5 years. We arrange the inspection, get the system ready and put right anything it picks up.

When something else is needed

Commercial air conditioning can’t fix everything, and we’d rather say so up front. It won’t put right:

  • Plumbing beyond the condensate drainage
  • Fire risk assessments
  • Carrying out the TM44 inspection itself, which needs an accredited energy assessor

What affects the quote in West Berkshire

Typical ranges are on our prices page, but every job is priced on its own. The quote depends on:

  • How easy the units are to reach
  • The size of the job
  • The brand, model and parts involved
  • How far the pipework has to run, and where

Our prices page shows typical ranges, but your price depends on the job in front of us. For a fixed-price quote, phone 07833 053749 or use the quote form, and we will talk you through it.

Helping us quote

To speed up the quote, send us:

  • Your consumer unit or fuse board
  • The remote or wall controller showing any error
  • The outdoor side of the property, including any roof or flat area
  • The address and the type of property

If you need commercial air conditioning in West Berkshire, ring 07833 053749 or write to us at info@aircondoctor.co.uk. Let us know the type of property and what you need, plus some photos if they’re to hand. Enquiries get a reply the same working day.

West Berkshire questions

Can you do our TM44 air conditioning inspection?

We do not carry out the inspection itself, as it needs an accredited energy assessor. What we do is prepare the system and carry out the improvements the report suggests.

Whose job is it to check the system for leaks?

The operator of the equipment, working with qualified engineers. Larger systems need regular checks: at least every 12 months from 5 tCO2e and every 6 months from 50 tCO2e. We can tell you which band your system falls into.

Can you work around our opening hours?

Yes. We fit the installation around when the building is in use and phase it where needed.

Which brands do you work with?

Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Hitachi and others. For new systems, we recommend a brand and model to suit the job and explain why.

Do you have a 24/7 line?

Yes. There’s a 24/7 emergency line for problems that cannot wait for a planned visit. Ring 07833 053749 any time and explain the problem.

Why does F-Gas certification matter?

The law says any company working on equipment containing F gas has to be certified, and the engineers need their own qualifications. It means the refrigerant in your system is handled legally.

Which accreditations do you hold?

F-Gas company certification, NICEIC approval for electrical work and MCS certification for heat pumps, and we are Checkatrade members. Our engineers also hold the individual F-gas qualifications needed to work on refrigerant.
