Our air conditioning service in TW6
Air conditioning is not only for summer: most modern splits heat too. The Energy Saving Trust makes the same point: an air-to-air heat pump is what many people simply call air conditioning, and a well-chosen system can earn its keep all year round. Common call-outs are for not knowing which system, size or brand to choose and old electric heaters you’d like to replace with something more efficient, on ceiling cassettes, VRF systems and multi-split systems.
The visit goes in the diary at a time that works for you, and we keep you posted if anything changes. On arrival, the engineer compares the job with the survey, your photos or the details you gave us. If something is different, we talk it through with you before carrying on. After that, it takes a day or more, depending on the number of rooms, the pipe routes and the access.
- First the diagnosis: a survey of the rooms, the walls, the outside and the electrics.
- Next, a recommendation for each room and a fixed price.
- The treatment: units fitted, pipework and drain routed, and the electrics installed.
- Before it runs, the pipework is proved tight and put under vacuum.
- Finally, the clean bill of health: commissioning, the controls explained and your paperwork handed over.

Landmarks near Heathrow
In Heathrow, that means homes and buildings near The Queen's Arms, Space Studio West London and Bedfont Primary School, among other places. There’s a railway station in Heathrow itself: Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 Rail station. A little further out are Spelthorne Museum (3.5 miles south-west) and Harlington (1.6 miles north). For a walk, there’s Staines Reservoirs and Crane Meadows.
Air conditioning across TW6
Our air conditioning work across TW6 takes in places such as Bedfont, Harlington and Hatton and the smaller places around them. Every place on our TW6 list (7 in all) is covered.
Enquiries from TW6 get a reply on the working day they arrive. For a breakdown, use the 24/7 line.
Heathrow: Osterley House, about 4.6 miles east, is one of the historic houses nearby, and if your own home is listed, consent comes before any air conditioning is fixed to it. If you work from home near Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 Rail station, a home office that overheats is one of the easiest rooms to cool.
Honest limits
We will not sell you work that doesn’t address the problem, so here are the limits:
- Gas boiler or central heating faults (we do not work on gas boilers)
- Heat loss through very poor insulation (a system will heat the room, but insulation is a separate job)
- A ventilation problem rather than a temperature problem
Managing agents and facilities teams in TW6
When the building owner and the occupier are different, it’s worth checking the agreement for who looks after the system. We’re happy to deal with either side and send the records to whoever needs them.
Keeping records across a portfolio is half the battle. Every visit is written up, with F-Gas records wherever refrigerant work is involved, so you can show what was done and when.
How we price air conditioning
The diagnosis comes before the price. The main factors are:
- What state the existing equipment is in
- How easy the units are to reach
- Which make and model is being fitted or worked on
- How many units are involved
What you pay depends on the system and the number of rooms or units, how easy the units are to reach and what the work involves. We give you a fixed price before we start, so you know where you stand.
What to send for a quote
To speed up the quote, please include:
- The rating plate or label on any existing unit
- A photo of the consumer unit with the cover closed
- A few photos of the room and the wall the unit is on, or will go on
- The address and the type of property
To help us quote: the address and the type of property, photos of the rooms or units, the brand and model of anything already fitted and any symptoms, from error codes to drips. Once you have those, phone us on 07833 053749 or email us.
What the work involves, system by system
Ceiling cassettes
For wide rooms, a cassette spreads the air more evenly than one wall unit, and the slim grille sits neatly in the ceiling.
Offices, shops and commercial rooms
For bigger buildings, VRF systems link many indoor units to shared outdoor plant. Commercial and VRF systems are priced after a survey, with the design explained in the quote.
Questions from TW6
How long does it take to fit air conditioning?
Most single-room systems take a day. Multi-split, ducted and cassette systems take longer, and we tell you how long on the quote.
When will I hear back?
We reply to enquiries the same working day. For a breakdown that can’t wait, call our 24/7 emergency line.
Who is responsible for leak checks?
Responsibility is shared between the operator, usually whoever owns or controls the equipment, and the service technicians. How often depends on the size of the refrigerant charge in tonnes of CO2 equivalent: at least yearly for 5 to under 50 tCO2e, and every 6 months for 50 to under 500 tCO2e.
Can you fit air conditioning in a leasehold flat?
In many cases, but permissions come first. You will typically need the landlord’s or management company’s consent for the outdoor unit and the pipe route and the lease will say. Permitted development rules for flats are also tighter than for houses, and we flag anything that may need permission. This is general information, not legal advice.
Will you work on another installer’s system?
Yes. We look at it first and tell you what we find, including any issues with how it was fitted. You get a fixed price before any work goes ahead.
Where will you put the outdoor unit?
It can go on a wall bracket, at ground level or on a flat roof, wherever the pipe route, airflow and servicing access work best. We also think about noise near bedrooms and neighbours, and the position can affect planning.
Can air conditioning heat my home as well?
Most of the time, yes: modern splits are normally heat pumps, so they can heat a room in winter. The Energy Saving Trust points out that an air-to-air heat pump is often just called air conditioning. We confirm the heating function of the model we quote.
