Our air conditioning service in TW16
Thinking about air conditioning but not sure where to start? Send a few photos of the rooms and the outside walls when you give us a ring on 07833 053749, or email if that’s easier, and you will hear back from us the same working day about a survey or a fixed-price quote. The work covers VRF systems, multi-split systems and ducted systems, and the jobs we see most are a business premises that overheats in summer and old electric heaters you’d like to replace with something more efficient.
There’s very little for you to do on the day. Someone needs to let us in and show us the units, or where they’re going, and we take it from there. At the end, we tidy up and run through the work with you.
- You send photos, or we visit and survey the rooms and outside.
- Output, positions and price are settled before anything is booked.
- Sheets go down first, then the indoor unit and the condenser are mounted.
- We run and connect the pipes, cable and drain, then pressure test and evacuate the circuit.
- The system is commissioned, the controls explained and the F-Gas records handed over.
What affects the price in TW16
The price reflects the work, not guesswork. That’s why we look at the job first, from pictures or on a survey, and why the quote is fixed before work begins.
What you get with us
- We reply to enquiries the same working day
- Warranty terms set out brand by brand
- One contact for properties across the South East and London
- MCS certified for heat pumps
How to get a quote
Photos are enough for some jobs; others need a visit first. Bigger systems, commercial sites and awkward pipe routes are normally surveyed on site. Either way, you get a fixed price before any work is booked.

You will also find St Saviour (0.5 miles north), Sunbury Manor School (under half a mile west) and St Ignatius RC Primary School (within half a mile north-west). Sunbury-on-Thames has its own railway station: Sunbury station. Well-known places in the area include Kempton Steam Museum (1 mile north-east) and No. 2 New Zealand General Hospital (2 miles south). Air conditioning around TW16
From Sunbury-on-Thames and Ashford Common outwards, TW16 has every kind of home. We survey every property before we quote.
Across London and the South East, we reply to enquiries the same working day, with a 24/7 emergency line for breakdowns.
Sunbury-on-Thames: With historic houses such as Hampton Court Palace about 3.5 miles east, it’s a reminder that older homes nearby may be listed, which changes the planning rules. If you work from home near Sunbury station, a home office that overheats is one of the easiest rooms to cool.
Honest limits
A few issues sit outside what this work can do:
- A building fabric problem such as single glazing or no loft insulation
- A ventilation problem rather than a temperature problem
- Damp or condensation caused by leaks or poor ventilation in the building (that needs the cause fixing)
Looking after it afterwards
Looking after the system is mostly common sense. A few tips:
- Keep to the service interval the manufacturer recommends
- Keep the indoor unit’s filters clean
- File the paperwork with the manual
- Report drips, noises or error codes right away
We clear up before we go: dust sheets lifted, offcuts and packaging cleared, and the holes for the pipework sealed. Outside, the pipework is neatly fixed and protected as agreed on the survey.
Set it and leave it. Choose the right mode and a comfortable temperature rather than the lowest setting and keep doors and windows shut while it runs.
What affects the quote in TW16
You’ll get a fixed price before any work starts. It’s based on:
- Whether we need access equipment for high-level work
- How far the pipework has to run, and where
- The size of the job
- A single visit or a regular plan
Typical ranges are on our prices page, but each job is priced on what it involves. For a fixed-price quote, call us on 07833 053749 or drop us a line, and we’ll talk you through it.
What we need to know
Simple jobs can often be priced from pictures and some basics. Useful things to send:
- Your installation or service records
- A photo of the consumer unit with the cover closed
- A few pictures of the room and the wall the unit is on, or will go on
- The remote or wall controller showing any error
Every quote starts with a look at the job, from a site survey or, where the job is straightforward, from pictures and measurements. After that, we send a fixed price so you know the cost before we begin.
Different systems, different jobs
Multi-split systems
With a multi-split, one outdoor unit serves two or more rooms. It’s a neat answer when space outside is limited and several rooms need it and each indoor unit has its own controls.
Offices, shops and commercial rooms
Systems over 12 kW of effective rated output bring extra duties for the building, such as a TM44 inspection by an accredited energy assessor at least every 5 years. We can arrange the inspection and get the system ready for it.
Questions from TW16
Will I need planning permission?
It can do. The rules differ for heat pumps and cooling-only air conditioning, and for houses, flats, listed buildings and conservation areas. We flag anything that may need permission when we survey, and the council has the final say. This is general information, not legal advice.
Do you work on all makes?
Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Hitachi and others. For a new system, we suggest the make and model that suit the property and tell you why.
How much does air conditioning installation cost?
Typically £1,200–£2,200 + VAT for a single-room split, depending on the room, the access and the pipe route. Long pipe runs, difficult access, a new circuit and premium indoor units push the price up, while commercial systems are priced after a survey.
What size air conditioning unit do I need?
Sizing is done on the survey, room by room. An undersized unit never catches up, and an oversized one cycles and wastes energy, so we explain why we’ve chosen a particular output.
Do you provide F-Gas records?
Yes. It’s the record a manufacturer or the next engineer will ask to see: a dated note of the work, with refrigerant details where they apply.
Can I do any of the installation myself?
Not the refrigerant work. The F-gas rules require certified companies and qualified engineers for it, and a new electrical circuit is notifiable building work unless a registered competent person does it.
Which accreditations do you hold?
F-Gas company certification, NICEIC approval for electrical work and MCS certification for heat pumps, and we’re Checkatrade members. Engineers who handle refrigerant hold their own F-gas qualifications as well.
