Air con installation in EN2

Our air conditioning service in EN2

Single-room systems are typically £1,200–£2,200 + VAT, two rooms on a multi-split £2,800–£4,500 + VAT, and three to five rooms £4,500–£8,500 + VAT. Supply, installation, commissioning and F-Gas documentation are all included, and commercial VRF systems are priced after a survey. The work covers air-to-air heat pumps, ceiling cassettes and ducted systems, and the jobs we see most are an ageing air conditioning system near the end of its life and a portable unit with a hose out of the window.

We keep the work area tidy as we go, with sheets down and mess cleared as we go. If we need to drill through a wall, we agree the spot with you first. The visit takes a day or more, depending on the number of rooms, the pipe routes and the access.

  1. Diagnosis comes first, with a survey of the rooms, outside space and fuse board.
  2. Next, a recommendation for each room and a fixed price.
  3. Then the work: units up, pipes and drain run, and a new circuit where necessary.
  4. Checks: a pressure test for leaks, then a vacuum to clear moisture.
  5. The sign-off: commissioning, a walk through the controls, and the F-Gas records and warranty details.

Putting the work off seldom saves money. Small problems, from blocked filters to slow leaks, tend to get worse, and a system working harder than it should costs more to run. Where we install in EN2

Across EN2, from Enfield, Enfield Chase and Bush Hill Park to the villages, homes range from older terraces and cottages to new estates and flats. Each install starts with a survey of the rooms, the walls and where the outdoor unit can go.

London and the South East cover everything from city flats to rural cottages. We’re F-Gas certified, NICEIC approved and MCS certified for heat pumps.

Enfield Chase: Around Church of St Mary Magdalene, a quick check of the listing and conservation maps is part of planning any install. Plenty of people near Enfield Chase station split the week between the train and a spare room, and that spare room is often the first to get a unit.

Let and managed properties

When the building owner and the occupier are different, it’s worth checking the agreement for who looks after the system. We’re happy to deal with either side, and the paperwork can go to both.

Running several properties is easier with one contractor. We work across London and the South East, so a run of properties can go into one programme and kept on a regular cycle.

After we’ve gone

Think of this as the after-treatment advice, in brief:

  • Flag any change in how the system sounds or performs
  • Let filters dry fully before you put them back
  • Have the system serviced once a year
  • Close windows and doors while the system is cooling

Commissioning is the last stage: every mode is tested before we go. Once it’s running properly, we take you through the controls and settings so you know how to get the best from it.

Have the system serviced once a year. A service cleans what you cannot reach and picks up faults before they stop the system and keeps the warranty paperwork right where servicing is a condition.

Leave it or put it right?

New systems now use lower-impact refrigerants. Since 2025, new single split systems with less than 3 kg of refrigerant can’t use F gases with a GWP above 750, so new splits use refrigerants such as R32, with a GWP of 675. R410A, used in many older systems, has a GWP of 2088.

What air conditioning can’t fix

To be straight with you, there are a few things this work will not fix:

  • Work that needs permission from a landlord or the council
  • Draughts and missing insulation
  • Central heating repairs

Questions from EN2

Should I choose wall-mounted, ducted or cassette?

The right one depends on how many rooms you want to cool, how much space there is outside and how visible you want the indoor units to be. Ducted systems need a ceiling void or loft, and cassettes need a suspended ceiling and the survey confirms what’s possible.

Which manufacturers do you install and repair?

Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Hitachi and others. For a new system, we suggest the make and model that suit the property and explain why.

Who has to arrange F-Gas leak checks?

Whoever operates the equipment, together with the technicians who service it. Systems below 5 tCO2e fall outside the set leak check intervals, while larger ones need checks at least every 12 months, or every 6 months from 50 tCO2e. We will work out which band applies to yours.

Do you offer emergency call-outs?

Yes, day and night. Call the emergency line and tell us the make, the symptoms and any error code, and we will advise on what to do next.

Does servicing affect my warranty?

Check the manufacturer’s terms. Some warranty terms require the system to be serviced regularly by a qualified engineer, so check the terms or ask us. Either way, keep a record of every service.

Do you protect the property while you work?

Protection goes down first: dust sheets over floors and anything close to the work. Any drilling is agreed with you first, and we clear up the dust and offcuts before we leave.

Does air conditioning need its own electrical supply?

In most cases. The fuse board is checked on the survey, and any electrical work goes on the quote, and our NICEIC approval covers the installation and certificate.
