Air conditioning across SS13: what to expect
Not sure what you need, or where it would go? Just ring us on 07833 053749 or fill in the contact form with photos of the rooms and the outside of the property, and you will hear back from us the same working day about a survey or a fixed-price quote. We’re often asked to deal with a study or office that overheats during the day and rooms under the roof that stay hot into the night, on multi-split systems, ceiling cassettes and wall-mounted split systems.
Where something has to be switched off during the work, we agree it with you first so it doesn’t catch you out. In a business, work can often be done one area at a time. The work takes a day or more, depending on the number of rooms, the pipe routes and the access.
- We survey the property, or work from your pictures for a simple job.
- Output, positions and price are settled before anything is booked.
- Sheets go down first, then the indoor unit and the condenser are mounted.
- Connections are made, checked for leaks and pulled down to a vacuum.
- We commission, show you the controls and leave the F-Gas and warranty paperwork.
How we quote
What you pay reflects the actual work. That is why every job is looked at first, and why the quote is fixed before work begins.

Around Pitsea
Locally, jobs take us to houses, flats and workplaces close to Saint Gabriel's Church, Chalvedon School and Northlands Primary School and Nursery and the streets around them. Nearby too are Vange Hill (1.2 miles south-west), The Barge pub (0.9 miles south-west) and The Basildon Upper Academy (within half a mile south-east). The nearest railway station is Pitsea station, roughly 0.6 miles south of the centre. Nearby you will also find The Motor Boat Museum (1 mile west) and Rayleigh Castle (4.5 miles east). Green spaces nearby include Vange Marsh RSPB nature reserve.
Where we install in SS13
Our air conditioning work across SS13 takes in places such as Basildon, Pitsea and Vange and the smaller places around them. We cover every place we list for SS13, 5 in all.
Refrigerant work is done by F-gas qualified engineers for a certified company, while NICEIC approval covers the electrical work.
Pitsea: If you work from home near Pitsea station, a home office that overheats is one of the easiest rooms to cool. If your home is in one of the older streets near Saint Gabriel's Church, it’s worth checking whether it’s listed or in a conservation area before an install.
What affects the cost of air conditioning
Typical ranges are on our prices page, and your quote is built on your job. The quote depends on:
- The brand, model and parts involved
- How many units are involved
- The distance and route between the indoor and outdoor units
- The type of system, from a single split to a larger system
Several rooms, units or sites on one quote often makes better use of the time. Mention every unit or room you need covered and we will price it together.
Asking for a quote
Simple jobs can often be priced from pictures and some basics. Send what you can of the following:
- The postcode and whether it’s a home, flat or business
- Any error code or flashing light on the display
- Your consumer unit or fuse board
- Photos showing the indoor unit and the space around it
To get a fixed-price quote, ring us on 07833 053749 or use the quote form and tell us about the property and what you need. A few pictures make it quicker. We reply to enquiries the same working day.
Why deal with it now?
Planning ahead beats a rushed decision in a heatwave. A rushed choice is often the wrong size or in the wrong place, and that is hard to put right later. A survey now gives time to choose properly.
Questions to ask before you book
- Whether the electrical work is done by a registered contractor, such as NICEIC approved
- The make and model of any parts or equipment being quoted
- Whether testing, commissioning and paperwork are included
- If the quote is based on a survey, pictures or a diagnosis
Honest limits
We’d rather tell you now than sell you work that will not help, so here are the limits:
- Building damp that has a structural cause
- Heat loss through very poor insulation (a system will heat the room, but insulation is a separate job)
- Gas boiler or central heating faults (we don’t work on gas boilers)
Rented and managed buildings
Running several properties is easier with one contractor. We work across London and the South East, so work at different addresses can be planned together and kept to a regular schedule.
Landlords, letting agents and managing agents book us, not only the people who live or work in the property. Tell us who the contact on site is and who should receive the paperwork and we’ll copy in whoever needs it.
SS13: your questions answered
Will you need to do electrical work?
Normally, yes. The fuse board is checked on the survey, and any electrical work goes on the quote and we install and certify the circuit as NICEIC approved contractors.
Can I do the refrigerant work myself?
Anything that involves the refrigerant needs an F-Gas qualified engineer from a certified company. That is the law, not just our preference, and it also matters for the manufacturer’s warranty. We’re happy to quote for the full job, supply to commissioning.
How much does air conditioning installation cost?
For one room, a split system is typically £1,200–£2,200 + VAT. Two rooms on a multi-split are typically £2,800–£4,500 + VAT, and three to five rooms £4,500–£8,500 + VAT, with supply, fitting, commissioning and F-Gas documentation included. The price is fixed before work begins.
Which accreditations do you hold?
As the law requires for refrigerant work, we are an F-Gas certified company. We’re also NICEIC approved, MCS certified for heat pumps and Checkatrade members.
Can you look at a system you didn’t fit?
Yes. We start with a proper look and tell you honestly what we find, including any issues with how it was fitted. Any work is priced before it goes ahead.
Which brands do you work with?
Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Hitachi and others. For new systems, we recommend a brand and model to suit the job and tell you why.
Do you offer emergency call-outs?
Yes. There’s a 24/7 emergency line for breakdowns that cannot wait. Call 07833 053749 and tell us what’s happened.
