Air source heat pumps in Sheet's Heath
For an air-to-water heat pump, the price is £8,000–£16,000 (0% VAT on homes), before the grant. The Boiler Upgrade Scheme can provide £7,500 towards an eligible air-to-water system in England and Wales and the installer makes the application. Not every home qualifies, so we check eligibility before you commit. Common call-outs are for checking whether planning permission is needed and checking emitters for a heat pump, on air-to-water heat pumps, homes heated by oil, LPG or gas and air-to-air heat pumps.
If your home in or near Sheet's Heath is heated by oil, LPG or electric heaters with no mains gas, an extra £1,500 is available through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme until March 2027, on top of the £7,500.
For a fault on a system that may still be under warranty, send us the make, model and installation date. We’ll tell you how the manufacturer’s warranty is likely to apply before any chargeable work goes ahead.

Managing agents and facilities teams in Sheet's Heath
Managing agents often deal with us directly. Tell us the property, the work and the access arrangements, and we’ll send a fixed-price quote.
Bigger systems bring extra duties: systems with an effective rated output over 12 kW need a TM44 inspection by an accredited energy assessor at least every 5 years. We can arrange it, prepare the system for it and fix what it finds.
Heat pumps in Sheet's Heath: local notes
About 80% of households live in detached or semi-detached houses, according to Census 2021 figures. Detached and semi-detached houses usually have room for the outdoor unit and a cylinder. Roughly a third of a mile or less from central Sheet's Heath, you reach the Basingstoke Canal Conservation Area. Draw a one-mile circle round the middle of Sheet's Heath and it takes in 5 conservation areas. Where a home is affected, the outdoor unit position is settled with Woking council, usually the planning authority here before the heat pump design is finished.
If your home is near Brookwood station and heated by a gas boiler, an air-to-water heat pump can replace it where the survey shows it suits. Older homes near Saint Saviour's Church may need extra checks for planning and heat loss before a heat pump is designed.

How the visit works
The visit has three parts, a bit like a doctor’s appointment: look, put right and sign off. First we check the system or the space against the plan, then we do the work, and finally everything is tested, recorded and explained. Most of the time goes on the middle part, which takes anything from a couple of days for air-to-air to the best part of a week for air-to-water with radiator changes. Seeing the property in pictures first means the trip to Sheet's Heath can be planned properly.
- First we find out about the property, the heating you have now and what you’re hoping for.
- The survey measures heat loss room by room and looks at radiators, hot water and the best spot for the outdoor unit.
- The price comes back fixed and in writing, with the grant and VAT shown line by line.
- We fit the outdoor unit and connect it to the heating, hot water and controls.
- We commission the heat pump, complete the MCS paperwork and talk you through the controls.
Before we arrive
- Dig out any previous service or F-Gas records
- Tell us about access, such as roof hatches, high walls or locked plant areas
- Tell us about parking and loading

When something else is needed
An honest diagnosis matters more to us than a booking, so here’s what air source heat pumps will not do:
- Planning decisions, which rest with the council
- Tax rulings, which only HMRC can give
- Grants for hybrid systems or replacements of low-carbon systems
If you’re not sure, just phone 07833 053749 or use the quote form and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.
What the work covers
- Radiator systems
- Air-to-water heat pumps
- Underfloor heating
- Homes heated by oil, LPG or gas
- Air-to-air heat pumps
- Hot water cylinders
Safe owner checks
Do not move, re-route or disconnect units or pipework yourself. Moving a unit involves the refrigerant circuit, so it needs an F-Gas qualified engineer, and the electrics need care too. Ask us to quote for a move instead.
Refrigerant is off limits for anyone without the right qualifications. Under the F-gas rules, engineers need their own qualifications and the company must be certified, and refrigerant lines can cause cold burns. If you suspect a leak, switch the system off and call us.
Sheet's Heath questions
Is Sheet's Heath within the area you cover?
Yes, and the size of the place makes no difference to how we work. A few pictures and the postcode are enough to get things started.
Can I get the Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant in Sheet's Heath?
Yes, if the home and the heat pump meet the scheme’s rules: Sheet's Heath is in England, where it applies. Whether your home qualifies, and for how much, depends on the type of heat pump and the heating it replaces. The installer applies, and we are MCS certified.
What does an air-to-water heat pump cost?
£8,000–£16,000 (0% VAT on homes) for air-to-water, before the grant. Your price depends on the survey, the emitters and the hot water, and you get a fixed-price quote.
Do you look at the job first?
Yes. Every job is looked at first, on a survey, or from your photos and details where the job is simple. Then you get a fixed-price quote.
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
Yes. From one rented home to commercial buildings, we work the same way: a look first, a fixed-price quote and written records.
Will my radiators work with a heat pump?
We find out during the survey. Rooms where the radiator is big enough stay as they are and any changes are in the quote.
Which accreditations do you hold?
We are an F-Gas certified company, NICEIC approved for electrical work and MCS certified for heat pumps. We are also Checkatrade members.
