Our air conditioning service in SO53
A new system normally needs a dedicated circuit from the fuse board. Under Part P, a new circuit is notifiable unless a registered competent person does it, and our NICEIC approval means we install and certify it ourselves. The work covers air-to-air heat pumps, ceiling cassettes and wall-mounted split systems, and people most often call us about a portable unit with a hose out of the window and an office, shop or restaurant that’s uncomfortable for staff and customers.
Every visit follows the same order: check the plan with you, put the dust sheets down, carry out the job, test what we’ve done and talk you through it. On site, the work takes a day or more, depending on the number of rooms, the pipe routes and the access.
- First the diagnosis: a survey of the rooms, the walls, the outside and the electrics.
- Next, a recommendation for each room and a fixed price.
- The treatment: units fitted, pipework and drain routed, and the electrics installed.
- Before it runs, the pipework is proved tight and put under vacuum.
- Finally, the clean bill of health: commissioning, the controls explained and your paperwork handed over.

To help us quote: where the property is and what kind of building it is, photos of the rooms or units, the brand and model of anything already fitted and any symptoms, from error codes to drips. Once you have those, call us on 07833 053749 or use the quote form.
Near you in Chandler's Ford
Locally, jobs take us to houses, flats and workplaces close to Thornden School, St Boniface and Chandler's Ford Infant School. Chandler's Ford has its own railway station: Chandlers Ford station. Nearby you will also find Princess Anne Hospital (4 miles south-west) and Eastleigh Museum (1.9 miles south-east). For a walk, there’s Flexford Nature Reserve.
Air conditioning across SO53
Our air conditioning work across SO53 takes in places such as Chandler's Ford, Allbrook and Hiltingbury and the smaller places around them. Every place on our SO53 list (5 in all) is covered.
Our area stretches from Greater London through Surrey, Kent and Sussex to Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire and Essex, and SO53 sits within it. One phone number covers all of it.
Chandler's Ford: South Stoneham House, about 3.4 miles south, is one of the historic houses nearby, and if your own home is listed, consent comes before any air conditioning is fixed to it. Living close to St Boniface? Some older properties in parts like that are protected, and the survey finds out whether yours is.
What happens if it’s left?
Refrigerant rules have changed what new systems use. From 2025, single splits under 3 kg cannot use refrigerants with a GWP over 750, so new splits use refrigerants such as R32, with a GWP of 675. Older R410A systems have a GWP of 2088.
What your quote should include
- Who does the electrical work, and whether they can certify it
- Whether you get F-Gas records where refrigerant is involved
- What happens if the job turns out to be different on the day
- Whether the quote shows VAT clearly
When it’s something else
Some problems need a different service or another trade:
- Heat loss through very poor insulation (a system will heat the room, but insulation is a separate job)
- Problems with a gas boiler or the radiators
- Damp from leaks or a lack of ventilation
Common problems we fix in SO53
Commercial spaces gain heat from people, equipment, lighting and glazing. Keeping staff and customers comfortable is normally what prompts the call, and some rooms need cooling for the equipment as much as the people.
These are the situations we see most often:
- A system on old refrigerant that is due for replacement
- A home office that warms up with screens and equipment
- Too many options and no clear advice
- Rooms heated by plug-in heaters
For landlords and property managers
Records are where property maintenance often slips. Each visit produces a dated record, with F-Gas records wherever refrigerant work is involved, ready for a tenant, a buyer or an inspection.
From a single flat to a whole estate, you get the same standard: a look at the job first, a fixed-price quote, work booked with the occupier and written records afterwards.
Questions from SO53
Do you offer maintenance contracts?
Yes. We offer maintenance contracts, set at the interval the system and the manufacturer’s terms need. Each visit is written up and F-Gas records kept where they apply.
Do you work on systems someone else installed?
Yes. Systems fitted by other companies are fine from all the leading brands. Tell us the make and model and send any paperwork you have.
Whose job is it to check the system for leaks?
Whoever operates the equipment, together with the technicians who service it. Larger systems need regular checks: at least every 12 months from 5 tCO2e and every 6 months from 50 tCO2e. We will work out which band applies to yours.
Where will you put the outdoor unit?
The position is agreed on the survey, not on the day. It must have clear airflow and space for servicing, and a position facing a road can bring extra planning considerations. We explain the options and any permissions to check.
How soon will you get back to me?
On the same working day you contact us. Then we agree a date that works for you, with a fixed price before work starts.
Can I have air conditioning in a flat?
In many cases, but permissions come first. You’ll usually need the landlord’s or management company’s consent for the outdoor unit and the pipe route, so check the lease. Planning rules for flats are tighter too, so we point out anything that may need permission on the survey. This is general information, not legal advice.
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
Yes. We work for homeowners, landlords, letting and managing agents, and businesses of every size across London and the South East. Let us know who the records should go to.
