Our air conditioning service in RH9
Not sure what you need, or where it would go? Just phone us on 07833 053749 or drop us a line with pictures of the rooms and the outside of the property, and we’ll reply the same working day to arrange a survey or a quote. Common call-outs are for a loft room or top floor that bakes in summer and not knowing which system, size or brand to choose, across air-to-air heat pumps, ceiling cassettes and ducted systems.
Testing is the last part of the visit wherever the system can be switched on. Then we show you what we have done and answer any questions, and anything that needs a follow-up is pointed out there and then. All told, the work takes about a day for a single-room system, longer for multi-room and ducted systems.
- You send pictures, or we visit and survey the rooms and outside.
- The system is sized, positions are agreed and the price is fixed.
- We protect the area, then fit both halves of the system.
- We run and connect the pipes, cable and drain, then pressure test and evacuate the circuit.
- We commission, show you the controls and leave the F-Gas and warranty paperwork.
How we quote
What you pay reflects the actual work. That is why we look at the job first, from photos or on a survey, and why the quote is fixed before we start.
Why people in RH9 choose us
- MCS certification for heat pump work
- One contact for properties across the South East and London
- Clear warranty information from the manufacturer
- A reply the same working day
How to get a quote
Some jobs can be priced from pictures, while others need a survey. Multi-room systems, commercial buildings and anything with a long or hidden pipe route are normally surveyed first. Either way, the quote is fixed before anything goes ahead.
Landmarks near Godstone
Locally, jobs take us to houses, flats and workplaces close to Godstone Village School, Church of St Nicholas and The Hare And Hounds Public House, among other places. Godstone’s nearest station is Godstone station, about 2.2 miles south of the centre. Nearby you will also find Caterham Dene Hospital (2.5 miles north) and Bletchingley Castle (1.9 miles west). For a walk, there’s Mercers Lake and Bay Pond.
Air conditioning across RH9
In RH9, we install in places such as Holmethorpe, Godstone and Blindley Heath and well beyond. We cover every place we list for RH9, 9 in all.
We are based in East Grinstead and work across London and the South East, RH9 included. Every job starts with a site survey or pictures, then a fixed-price quote.
Godstone: Living close to Church of St Nicholas? Some older properties in parts like that are protected, and the survey finds out whether yours is. Titsey Place (roughly 4.1 miles north-east) shows the area has its share of heritage. A listed home needs consent before an outdoor unit or pipework goes on.
What the work involves, system by system
Ducted systems
Ducted units can feed several rooms through a network of ducts, which suits new builds, extensions and refurbishments where ceilings are open.
Wall-mounted split systems
Single-room split systems are typically £1,200–£2,200 + VAT, with supply, fitting, commissioning and the F-Gas paperwork included. Long pipe runs, difficult access and a new circuit affect where your job sits in the range.
Fixed-price quotes for air conditioning in RH9
The diagnosis comes before the price. The main factors are:
- What we find on the survey or diagnosis
- The pipe route between the units
- Whether we need access equipment for high-level work
- Whether the existing supply is suitable
Our prices page shows typical ranges, but your price depends on the job in front of us. Call for a fixed-price quote, and we’ll talk you through it.
Before you get in touch
Simple jobs can often be priced from pictures and some basics. Send what you can of the following:
- The outdoor side of the property, including any roof or flat area
- A close-up of the unit’s label showing the model number
- Your consumer unit or fuse board
- Wide pictures of the room or the existing unit
To help us quote: the address and the type of property, a few pictures, the make and model of any existing system and anything you’ve noticed, such as an error code or a noise. Then call us on 07833 053749 or write to us at info@aircondoctor.co.uk.
Looking after it afterwards
Looking after the system is mostly common sense. Our tips:
- Flag any change in how the system sounds or performs
- Close windows and doors while the system is cooling
- Let filters dry fully before you put them back
- File the paperwork with the manual
You get the paperwork that matters: the commissioning details, the F-Gas records and the manufacturer’s warranty information. File them together as they’re needed for servicing and any warranty question.
Book an annual service. A service cleans what you can’t reach and picks up faults before they stop the system, and it keeps any warranty servicing conditions in order.
What you can do yourself, and what needs us
Do not move, re-route or disconnect units or pipework yourself. Moving a unit involves the refrigerant circuit, so it needs an F-Gas qualified engineer, and the electrical side needs a competent person. If you need something moved, we can quote for it.
Never try to top up, release or handle refrigerant yourself. The law requires anyone working on equipment containing F gas to hold the right qualifications, and the company to be certified, and escaping refrigerant can cause cold burns. A suspected leak is our job, not yours.
RH9 questions
Do you work on all makes?
We work with the leading brands, from Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin and Fujitsu to Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Hitachi. Tell us the make and model and we will take it from there.
Do I get paperwork after the visit?
Yes. It’s the record a manufacturer or the next engineer will ask to see: a dated note of the work, with refrigerant details where they apply.
How much is air conditioning for one room?
For one room, a split system is typically £1,200–£2,200 + VAT. Two rooms on a multi-split are typically £2,800–£4,500 + VAT, and three to five rooms £4,500–£8,500 + VAT, with supply, fitting, commissioning and F-Gas documentation included. The price is fixed before work begins.
How soon will you get back to me?
We reply to enquiries the same working day. If it’s an emergency, ring the 24/7 line instead.
How do you size the system?
We size each room on the survey, from its size, glazing, orientation and use. Too small, and it runs flat out; too big, and it switches on and off and wastes energy and we explain the output we recommend.
Do you cover RH9?
Yes. We work across Greater London, Surrey, Kent, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire and Essex, RH9 included.
How long does air conditioning installation take?
Allow a day or more, depending on the number of rooms, the pipe routes and the access. The survey tells us how long your installation will need so there are no surprises.
