The middle part takes longest, and that takes anything from a couple of days for air-to-air to the best part of a week for air-to-water with radiator changes. Somewhere like Wye, it helps to know about lanes, gates and where to park.
- We find out about your home and the heating you have now.
- Every room’s heat loss is worked out on site.
- We design the system, check the radiators and cylinder and look at the outdoor unit position.
- Cost, grant and VAT appear on one fixed-price quote.
- Installation, commissioning and MCS registration complete the job.

Think of this as the after-treatment advice, short and simple:
- File the MCS certificate safely
- Use the settings explained at handover
- Leave indoor units unobstructed

Don’t cover radiators with furniture or heavy curtains so the heat can get into the room.
FAQs for Wye
Is the heat pump grant available in Wye?
Yes, the scheme covers homes in England, including Wye, if they qualify. Whether your home qualifies, and for how much, depends on the type of heat pump and the heating it replaces. We hold MCS certification, so the application is ours to make for you.
Will a heat pump in Wye need planning permission?
There’s no single answer: the building and the outdoor unit position decide it. The centre of Wye is in a conservation area. On a house, an air source heat pump can often go ahead under permitted development, with an outdoor unit of no more than 1.5 cubic metres and an installation that meets MCS 020(a), which includes a noise check. Those rights do not reach the grounds of a listed building, and conservation areas rule out walls or roofs facing a road. If that might affect you, we ask the local planning authority (for Wye, normally Ashford council).
How soon will you get back to me?
We reply to enquiries the same working day. For a breakdown that can’t wait, call our 24/7 emergency line.
Do you have a 24/7 line?
Yes. There’s a 24/7 emergency line for problems that can’t wait for a planned visit. Call 07833 053749 and tell us what’s happened.
What does F-Gas certified mean?
Companies working on equipment that contains F gas must be certified by an approved body, and each engineer needs the right qualifications too. It means the refrigerant in your system is handled legally.
Can I do any of the installation myself?
The refrigerant side has to be done by a qualified engineer working for an F-Gas certified company. That is the law, not just our preference, and it also matters for the manufacturer’s warranty. We can quote for the whole job, from supply to commissioning.
Whose job is it to check the system for leaks?
The F-gas rules share it between the equipment’s operator and the engineers who work on it. The interval depends on the refrigerant charge, measured in tonnes of CO2 equivalent: at least yearly for 5 to under 50 tCO2e, and every 6 months for 50 to under 500 tCO2e.
