Commercial air conditioning near Stonymarsh

Commercial air conditioning in Stonymarsh, done properly

There’s no single best commercial system. Wall-mounted splits suit small offices and single rooms, cassettes suit open ceilings, ducted units hide away in ceiling voids, and VRF or VRV serves many rooms from shared outdoor units. We set out the choices and the reasons behind our recommendation. The work covers server and comms room cooling, ducted systems and VRF systems, and the jobs we see most are ageing air conditioning that keeps breaking down and server rooms running too warm.

For a hall or similar building near Stonymarsh, an air-to-air system that responds quickly suits intermittent use, and it can heat as well as cool.

AirCon Doctor is an F-Gas certified company and NICEIC approved for electrical work, with MCS certification for heat pumps and Checkatrade membership. Our engineers hold the F-gas qualifications needed to work on refrigerant.

Different systems, different jobs

Ceiling cassettes

A cassette needs space above the ceiling and a route for the condensate. Many have a built-in pump to lift the condensate, which we check on every service.

F-gas records and TM44

An accredited energy assessor carries out the TM44 inspection. We don’t inspect, but we get systems ready and do the follow-up work.

Pricing commercial air conditioning in Stonymarsh

We quote each job individually. This is what makes a difference:

  • One-off work versus a regular service cycle
  • What state the existing equipment is in
  • Whether the existing supply is suitable

Every job is different, so we price each one individually. The equipment, how we reach it, the route between units and the work needed all make a difference.

Asking for a quote

Before you ask for a quote, gather:

  • Wide pictures of the room or the existing unit
  • A close-up of the unit’s label showing the model number
  • Your consumer unit or fuse board

How the visit works

Protection comes first: sheets over the floor and any furniture nearby and nothing is moved without asking you. After that, anything electrical is made safe and we start. The work on site takes anything from a day or two for a small office to several weeks of phased work on a large building, and we clear up before we go. We plan the trip to Stonymarsh around you.

  1. We visit the site to look at the building, how it’s used and what the system needs to do.
  2. A fixed-price quote follows, covering the system type, the layout and the timing.
  3. Dates are set with you so trading, teaching or treatment carries on, using evenings, weekends or phases where it helps.
  4. We fit the units, run and test the pipework, connect the condensate and wire in the controls.
  5. Finally it’s commissioned and handed over, with the refrigerant records and manuals for your files.

Before we arrive

  • Tell us about any building rules, permits or sign-in
  • Keep pets out of the rooms we are working in
  • Clear access to the fuse board

How to get a quote

Stonymarsh questions

Do you cover smaller places like Stonymarsh?

Yes, smaller places are covered as well as towns. Visits to smaller places are planned so the engineer arrives with what the job needs.

Is Stonymarsh in your area for commercial air conditioning?

Yes. We work across London and the South East from our base in East Grinstead, and Stonymarsh is part of that. To start, give us a ring on 07833 053749, or email if that’s easier with a few photos.

Who has to arrange F-Gas leak checks?

The F-gas rules share it between the equipment’s operator and the engineers who work on it. How often depends on the size of the refrigerant charge in tonnes of CO2 equivalent: at least yearly for 5 to under 50 tCO2e, and every 6 months for 50 to under 500 tCO2e.

Does my building need a TM44 inspection?

Systems with an effective rated output over 12 kW need a TM44 inspection at least every 5 years. An accredited energy assessor carries it out, and we can prepare the system and act on the report.

Why does F-Gas certification matter?

For refrigerant work, both the engineer and the company need the right F-gas credentials. It’s worth checking before booking, and we’re happy to show ours.

Is planning permission needed for the outdoor unit?

It depends on the system and the property. Heat pumps on houses in England can be permitted development when they meet set conditions, including the MCS 020(a) noise check, while a unit that only cools isn’t covered and needs checking with the council. Flats, listed buildings and conservation areas have tighter rules. This is general information, not legal advice.

Do you provide F-Gas records?

Yes. It’s the record a manufacturer or the next engineer will ask to see: the date, the work, and any refrigerant added or recovered.

When it’s something else

An honest diagnosis matters more to us than a booking, so here’s what this work cannot put right:

  • Fire risk assessments
  • Getting landlord or building owner approval
  • Plumbing beyond the condensate drainage

Not sure which it is? You can phone 07833 053749, or email if that’s easier and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.

Parts of the system we cover

  • VRF systems
  • Ceiling cassettes
  • Server and comms room cooling
  • Multi-split systems
  • Ducted systems
  • Wall-mounted split systems
