Commercial air conditioning in Send, done properly
Air conditioning systems with an effective rated output over 12 kW must have a TM44 inspection at least every 5 years. An accredited energy assessor carries it out; we’re not assessors, but we prepare systems for inspection and act on what the report finds. If you’re dealing with workspaces that overheat on warm days and comms rooms without enough cooling, we can help.
In a place like Send, commercial air conditioning is often for a shop, a surgery, a pub, an office unit or a farm business. Many need just one to four indoor units, and we size them from a survey.
We are an F-Gas certified company, NICEIC approved for electrical work, MCS certified for heat pumps and a Checkatrade member. Our engineers hold the F-gas qualifications needed to work on refrigerant.

What happens on the day
Testing is the last part of the visit wherever the system can be switched on. Then we explain what was done and answer your questions, and anything that needs attention later is pointed out. All told, the work takes anything from a day or two for a small office to several weeks of phased work on a large building. Everything the job in Send needs is worked out beforehand.
- It starts with a survey on site, looking at the space, the people in it and the equipment.
- We send a fixed-price quote showing the system, the unit positions and how the work will be phased.
- The work is planned around your opening hours, with out-of-hours or phased work where it helps.
- On site, the team mounts the plant, runs and proves the pipework, and wires the controls.
- We commission the system, record the refrigerant details and hand over the controls and documents.
Before we arrive
- Dig out any previous service or F-Gas records
- Let us know where we can park and unload
- Clear the space around the indoor unit, or where it will go

Owner checks or an engineer?
There are a few things you can safely do yourself: keeping the outdoor unit clear, checking the mode and set temperature, and the routine cleaning in the manual. Opening up the units, the electrics and the refrigerant circuit are a job for us.
Refrigerant is off limits for anyone without the right qualifications. Under the F-gas rules, engineers need their own qualifications and the company must be certified, and escaping refrigerant can cause cold burns. If you suspect a leak, switch the system off and call us.

Questions from Send
Is Send in your area for commercial air conditioning?
Yes, Send is within the area we cover. To start, give us a ring on 07833 053749 with a few photos.
Will you come out to Send?
Yes, and the size of the place makes no difference to how we work. Send a few details and photos, and we reply the same working day.
Do you look at the job first?
Yes. For simple jobs, pictures and a few details can be enough, while larger systems and faults that need testing are seen on site.
Do you offer maintenance contracts?
Yes. We offer maintenance contracts, with visits at the interval your system and the manufacturer need. Each visit is recorded and F-Gas records kept where they apply.
How are commercial air conditioning installs priced?
After a site survey, with a fixed-price quote. Factors include the number of areas, the system type, access and any out-of-hours or phased work.
Do you carry out TM44 inspections?
We do not carry out the inspection itself, as it needs an accredited energy assessor. What we do is prepare the system and carry out the improvements the report suggests.
How long will it take to install air conditioning in our building?
The work takes a matter of days for a modest fit-out, with larger buildings phased floor by floor or zone by zone. We confirm the timing after the survey, and you can ring 07833 053749 or use the quote form to book it.
Cooling for Send businesses
The FSA’s food hygiene register shows about 6 restaurants, cafés and canteens within 1.5 miles or so of the middle of Send. Restaurants, hotels, schools and care settings each need cooling designed for their hours and heat loads. Draw a one-mile circle round the middle of Send and it takes in 3 conservation areas. If your property is listed or sits inside a conservation area, expect us to raise planning at the survey and to speak to the planning team at Guildford council, which normally handles Send where it’s needed.
Healthcare premises near Woking Community Hospital need air conditioning that’s easy to clean and maintained on a schedule. Churches and halls such as St William of York are often used a few hours at a time, which suits a system that heats or cools a space quickly, once consents are in place.

Looking after it afterwards
Every system needs looking after, and most of it is easy. A few tips:
- Involve us at the planning stage of a refurbishment
- Keep outdoor units clear of rubbish and stored goods
- Keep F-gas records together and up to date
If the system needs F-gas leak checks, we diary the first one and can include it in a maintenance contract.
Good records make inspections and audits easier. For systems at or over 5 tCO2e, they’re required.
Different systems, different jobs
VRF and VRV systems
Larger systems carry more refrigerant, so F-gas leak checks and records are more likely to apply. We work out the tCO2e and set the check schedule.
Server and comms rooms
Adding a second unit gives resilience, and we can discuss how they share the load.
A customer’s words
“Excellent service from start to finish. Two wall-mounted units installed in our home. Clean, tidy work: they protected all the floors and left no mess. The systems work brilliantly. Would highly recommend.”
