Commercial air con in Canada
Our engineers work in Canada on commercial air conditioning. A look at the job first, a fixed-price quote and written records at the end.
- Work raised by a TM44 inspection
- Leak check schedules that have slipped
- Buildings that can’t close for the work
Safe owner checks
Owner care supports servicing; it does not replace it. Simple care keeps the air moving through the system, but the refrigerant circuit, the electrics and the parts you cannot see still need an engineer at the interval the manufacturer recommends.
On air conditioning, the filters in the indoor unit are usually the one part owners can clean where the manufacturer’s manual explains how. With the power off, they lift out, can be vacuumed or rinsed and must be fully dry before they go back. On a heat pump, the equivalent is keeping the outdoor unit clear and checking the controls.
Commercial air conditioning in Canada, done properly
Many sites need more than cooling. Air conditioning systems can heat as well as cool, and we also install ventilation and MVHR, so the building works as a whole. The work covers ducted systems, multi-split systems and VRF systems, and common reasons people get in touch are IT rooms that need resilient cooling and systems that need out-of-hours or phased installation.
Around Canada, commercial jobs tend to be pubs, shops, halls, surgeries and farm or rural businesses. Older buildings may be listed or in a conservation area, so we check the planning side first.
Refrigerant work is written up in the F-Gas records: what was done, the refrigerant type and any amount added or recovered. File them with the system’s paperwork, ready for the next service or a warranty query.

Cooling for Canada businesses
The FSA’s food hygiene register shows about 5 cafés, restaurants and staff canteens within roughly a mile and a half of the centre of Canada. Each of those is a different cooling job, from kitchen heat to quiet bedrooms and server rooms.
For a surgery or clinic in the Tatchbury Mount Hospital area, a planned maintenance contract keeps the system clean and its records up to date. A bursar or site manager at a school like Wellow School will want the install planned around the school calendar, and we work to that.
Canada is about 5 miles north-west of Totton, in Hampshire. Our engineers cover Canada for commercial air conditioning and across the rest of Hampshire. Canada is one of 683 places in Hampshire we cover. You can also see our page for Guildford, about 48 miles away.
Jobs in SO51 are looked at, quoted and booked the same way as anywhere else. Places around Canada that are also on our list: West Wellow (1 mile north), Blackhill (1 mile east), East Wellow (1 mile east), Newbridge (2 miles south) and Plaitford Green (2 miles north). We also work in nearby towns such as Winchester (14 miles north-east), Eastleigh (11 miles east), Totton (5 miles south-east) and Chandler's Ford (9 miles east).
Local landmarks in Canada
Around Canada, our work takes us to homes and businesses near Rockingham Arms, among other places. Canada’s nearest station is Romsey station, roughly 4.6 miles north-east of the centre. Well-known places in the area include Tatchbury Mount Hospital (3.5 miles south-east). The countryside around Canada includes Copythorne Common.
Questions from Canada
Will you come out to Canada?
Yes, and the size of the place makes no difference to how we work. We’re based in East Grinstead and plan each visit so the job can be finished in one trip where possible.
Do you cover Canada for commercial air conditioning?
We do: Canada falls inside our working area. Just ring us on 07833 053749 or write to us at info@aircondoctor.co.uk with a few details.
How soon will you get back to me?
You’ll hear from us the same working day. For a breakdown that can’t wait, call our 24/7 emergency line.
Can you look at a system you didn’t fit?
Yes. We start with a proper look and tell you honestly what we find, including any issues with how it was fitted. Any work is priced before it goes ahead.
Why does F-Gas certification matter?
For refrigerant work, both the engineer and the company need the right F-gas credentials. It’s worth checking before booking, and we’re happy to show ours.
Can you look after our air conditioning after it’s installed?
Yes. With a contract, servicing and F-gas checks happen on time and every visit is recorded.
Which accreditations do you hold?
F-Gas company certification, NICEIC approval for electrical work and MCS certification for heat pumps, and we are Checkatrade members. Our engineers also hold the individual F-gas qualifications needed to work on refrigerant.
Leave it or put it right?
In a comms room, losing the cooling can soon become serious. Reviewing the cooling and adding resilience is best done in advance. An early booking makes the visit to Canada easier to arrange.
One room or a whole building, we price it on the same basis: what needs doing, how we get to it and what it needs. You will have a fixed price before we start, with VAT shown clearly.

What the work involves, system by system
F-gas records and TM44
For systems from 5 tCO2e upwards, the operator is responsible for leak checks and records. We do the checks and give you the paperwork.
Hotels and schools
Larger buildings may need TM44 inspections at least every 5 years, and we prepare for them and act on the findings.
What we do, step by step
Every visit follows the same order: check the plan with you, protect the area, carry out the job, check the system and explain it all to you. The visit itself takes anything from a day or two for a small office to several weeks of phased work on a large building. Photos of the existing unit help with repairs and servicing in Canada.
- An engineer walks the building with you to understand its layout, its users and its heat sources.
- We send a fixed-price quote showing the system, the unit positions and how the work will be phased.
- Installation is scheduled to fit the business, with out-of-hours and phased work where necessary.
- We fit the units, run and test the pipework, connect the condensate and wire in the controls.
- Commissioning, F-gas records and a handover of the controls finish the job.
How to prepare
- Let us know if the building has a permit or sign-in process
- Name a contact who can meet us at the agreed time
- Dig out any previous service or F-Gas records
How to get a quote
Every quote starts with a look at the job, either on a site survey or, for simple jobs, from your photos and details. Then you get a fixed price so you know the cost before we begin.

A customer’s words
“Excellent service from start to finish. Two wall-mounted units installed in our home. Clean, tidy work: they protected all the floors and left no mess. The systems work brilliantly. Would highly recommend.”
