Ringwood air conditioning
F-Gas certified and NICEIC approved, we cover Ringwood for air conditioning. A fixed price before any work starts, and a 24/7 emergency line.
- Rooms under the roof that stay hot into the night
- Rooms that get too hot to sleep or work in
- Rooms heated by plug-in heaters
What we do, step by step
Refrigerant work is done by qualified engineers working for an F-Gas certified company, while the electrical side is covered by our NICEIC approval. So on the day, you do not need a separate electrician for the electrical side. The work takes a day or more, depending on the number of rooms, the pipe routes and the access. Everything the job in Ringwood needs is worked out beforehand.
- We survey the property, or work from your pictures for a simple job.
- Each room is sized and the unit positions agreed, then you get a fixed-price quote.
- Sheets go down first, then the indoor unit and the condenser are mounted.
- Connections are made, checked for leaks and pulled down to a vacuum.
- The system is commissioned, the controls explained and the F-Gas records handed over.
Before we arrive
- Move furniture away from the wall where we’ll be working
- Unlock any gate, garage or side passage we need
- Dig out any previous service or F-Gas records

How we handle air conditioning in Ringwood
We install leading brands, including Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Hitachi. We recommend a model on the survey and explain why it suits the room, along with the manufacturer’s warranty terms on your quote. A lot of the calls we get from Ringwood are about one room that’s too hot to sleep or work in. That is usually a single wall-mounted split, from £1,200 + VAT.
The outdoor unit position is the biggest single decision: airflow, noise towards neighbours, pipe length and access for servicing all count.
Outdoor units around Ringwood often sit on the ground or a low wall bracket at the back of the house, where it’s out of sight from the road and easy to service.
Whatever the visit, you get a written record: commissioning details and F-Gas records for a new system, a note of the fault and the fix for a repair, or a service record. File it with the manual so it’s to hand next time.

Ringwood questions
Is Ringwood in your area for air conditioning?
Yes. We work across London and the South East from our base in East Grinstead, and Ringwood is part of that. To start, give us a ring on 07833 053749 or fill in the contact form with a few pictures.
Can I fit air conditioning in Ringwood without planning permission?
It depends on the property. The Ringwood Conservation Area is close to the centre of Ringwood. Permitted development only covers heat pumps that aren’t used solely for cooling, and not within the grounds of a listed building. Conservation areas add limits on outdoor units facing a road. Where needed, we check with New Forest council, which is usually the planning authority for Ringwood.
How long does air conditioning installation take?
It takes a day or more, depending on the number of rooms, the pipe routes and the access. We confirm the time when we quote, so you can plan around it.
Can the outdoor unit go on a roof or at ground level?
Wall brackets, ground level and flat roofs are all options, wherever the pipe route, airflow and servicing access work best. We also think about noise near bedrooms and neighbours, and the position can affect planning.
Do you provide F-Gas records?
Yes. Every visit is written up, including F-Gas records for any refrigerant work. File them with the system’s paperwork.
Will skipping a service affect the warranty?
It can, for some brands. Send us the make and model and we’ll tell you what the manufacturer expects, and book the service at the interval they recommend.
Which type of system should I choose?
Number of rooms, space outside and how much of the unit you want to see all decide it. Ducted units need a void or loft, and cassettes need a suspended ceiling, which we check on the survey.
Homes in Ringwood and air conditioning
The last census (2021) found about 68% of households in detached or semi-detached houses. Houses typically have a side or rear wall with room for the outdoor unit, and a multi-split can serve several rooms from one outdoor unit.
Older streets near Trinity Congregational Church may fall within a conservation area, so we check the planning position before choosing where the outdoor unit goes. About 3.6 miles south-east stands Avon Tyrrell House. Listed homes in any area need consent first, so tell us if yours is one.

Why deal with it now?
Where the outdoor unit goes matters to you and to the neighbours. Placing it well keeps noise away from bedrooms and boundaries and makes servicing easier, and it can affect whether planning permission is needed. We agree it with you on the survey. Getting the date in early helps for a job in a place like Ringwood.
No two properties are the same, so each one gets its own fixed-price quote. The equipment, how we reach it, the route between units and the work needed all play a part.

Before you call an engineer
Good habits make our visits easier, not unnecessary. Clean filters and a clear outdoor unit help the system run as it should, but the inside of the units, the refrigerant and the electrics still need a qualified engineer.
Leave the units and pipework where they are. Moving a unit involves the refrigerant circuit, so it needs an F-Gas qualified engineer, and the electrical side needs a competent person. Ask us to quote for a move instead.

What else we do in Ringwood
For landlords and property managers
If you look after several properties, we can quote and plan the work across all of them. Every address has its own paperwork, so each one has its own history.
Where a tenant occupies the property but the landlord owns the system, it’s worth checking the agreement for who looks after the system. We are happy to deal with either side, and the paperwork can go to both.
What a customer said
“Excellent service from start to finish. Two wall-mounted units installed in our home. Clean, tidy work: they protected all the floors and left no mess. The systems work brilliantly. Would highly recommend.”
