Air con installers in Langley
We approach an installation much as a doctor approaches a patient: survey first, install second, commission and hand over last. The sign-off includes testing every mode, showing you the controls and handing over the F-Gas records. Most enquiries from Langley start with one hot room: a bedroom, a home office or a loft conversion. That’s usually a single wall-mounted split, from £1,200 + VAT.
A typical install in Langley is an indoor unit high on an outside wall, a neat pipe run and an outdoor unit on a bracket or ground pad, with the drain run planned so it never drips where it shouldn’t.
For a home in or near Langley, an air-to-air system can cool in summer and heat in the cooler months, which suits garden rooms, lofts and extensions that the main heating struggles with.
Warranty on the equipment is the manufacturer’s own, on the manufacturer’s terms, and we set them out on your quote. Terms differ from brand to brand, and we are happy to talk you through them.

Different systems, different jobs
Pipework and condensate drains
Between the units run the refrigerant pipes, the control cable and the condensate drain. The route is agreed before any drilling and kept as tidy as the building allows.
Ceiling cassettes
A cassette needs a void above the ceiling for the unit, pipework and drain, and many use a built-in condensate pump to lift the water away. We check the ceiling void on the survey.
What air conditioning won’t do
To be straight with you, some problems need a different answer:
- A room that can’t take an outdoor unit or pipe route without the landlord’s, management company’s or council’s consent (that consent comes first)
- Stuffy rooms that need fresh air rather than cooling
- Damp from leaks or a lack of ventilation
If you are not sure, just call us on 07833 053749 or email us and we’ll give you a straight answer.
Parts of the system we cover
- Multi-split systems
- Air-to-air heat pumps
- Wall-mounted split systems
- Ducted systems
- VRF systems
- Ceiling cassettes
The process
Anything involving refrigerant is handled by F-Gas qualified engineers, as the law requires, and electrical work is done by us as NICEIC approved contractors. So on the day, you do not need a separate electrician for the electrical side. On site, it takes anything from a day for one room to several days for a multi-room or ducted system. Pictures of the space and where the outdoor unit could go let us plan the work in Langley.
- We start by looking at the rooms, the walls and where the outdoor unit can go.
- You receive one fixed figure covering the kit, the fitting and the positions we agreed.
- The indoor unit is fixed in place, the outside unit positioned, and the connecting runs put in tidily.
- We connect the supply, pressure test the pipework and evacuate it before the refrigerant is released.
- The system is commissioned and checked in every mode, and we hand over the controls, F-Gas records and warranty information.
Before we arrive
- Clear the space around the indoor unit, or where it will go
- Keep pets out of the rooms we’re working in
- Unlock any gate, garage or side passage we need

What an install looks like in Langley
The coast is only about 2 miles from Langley. Salt air is hard on outdoor units, so we site them out of the worst of the sea wind where we can, and can suggest models with corrosion-protected coils where the manufacturer offers them. About 78% of households live in detached or semi-detached houses, according to the 2021 Census. A side passage or back wall normally gives the outdoor unit a home, and more than one bedroom can be cooled through a multi-split.
Beaulieu Palace House, about 3.5 miles west, is one of the historic houses nearby, and if your own home is listed, consent comes before any air conditioning is fixed to it. Older streets near St Francis may fall within a conservation area, so we check the planning position before choosing where the outdoor unit goes.
Langley is about 4 miles south of Hythe, in Hampshire. Wherever you are in the SO45 postcode area, our engineers can take on air conditioning. We cover 683 places across Hampshire, from busy centres to quieter spots. Worthing, roughly 43 miles off, has its own page on this site.
Our working area takes in SO45 in full. Chalewood Road, Hursley Drive and Bernwood Grove and the roads off them are all inside our area. Neighbouring places we cover include Blackfield (1 mile north), Roughdown (1 mile north-west), Holbury (1 mile north), Stanswood (1 mile east) and Sprat's Down (1 mile east). Further out, we also cover Gosport (10 miles east), Eastleigh (11 miles north), Fareham (8 miles east) and Totton (10 miles north-west).

Landlords, agents and facilities managers
The F-gas rules share responsibility for leak checking between the equipment’s operator and the service technicians. Where a building is let or managed, the lease or contract should make clear who looks after the system, and we can work for either side.
Landlords, letting agents and managing agents book us, not only the people who live or work in the property. Let us know who will give us access and who the records should go to, and we’ll keep everyone informed.
Langley questions
Is the coast a problem for outdoor units in Langley?
It can. Langley is within about 2 miles of the coast, and salt air speeds up corrosion on outdoor units. We site outdoor units out of the worst of the sea wind where possible and can suggest models with corrosion protection where the manufacturer offers it.
Is Langley within the area you cover?
Yes, and the size of the place makes no difference to how we work. We’re based in East Grinstead and plan each visit so the job can be finished in one trip where possible.
Do you work on commercial properties?
Yes. From one rented home to commercial buildings, we work the same way: survey or diagnosis, a fixed price and proper paperwork.
Do you work on systems someone else installed?
Yes. We look at it first and tell you what we find, including anything about the original installation that needs putting right. You get a fixed price before any work goes ahead.
Which type of air conditioning is best?
It depends on the rooms and the building. Wall-mounted splits suit single rooms, multi-splits run several rooms from one outdoor unit, ducted systems hide the unit in the ceiling, and cassettes suit offices and larger rooms. We recommend one on the survey and explain why.
Are you F-Gas certified?
We are an F-Gas certified company, with NICEIC approval for electrical work and MCS certification for heat pumps. We are also Checkatrade members.
How long does air conditioning installation take?
Most single-room systems take a day. Multi-split, ducted and cassette systems take longer and the quote says how long to expect.
