Brighton air conditioning servicing
Our engineers work in Brighton on annual servicing and F-Gas leak checks for domestic and commercial air conditioning. Diagnosis first, a fixed price and proper paperwork when we finish.
- Air conditioning that is not cooling as well as it did
- Smells coming from the indoor unit
- A unit showing a fault code
About our air conditioning servicing in Brighton
For an annual service, the price is £95–£150 + VAT, confirmed before the visit is booked. Multi-split, ducted and commercial systems are priced once we know what’s there. There’s no guessing at the bill afterwards. We’re often asked to deal with no service record for the last year or more and a musty or damp smell when the unit starts, across ceiling cassettes, multi-split systems and ducted systems.
Business systems in Brighton often need F-gas leak checks, with checks at least every 12 months from 5 tonnes CO2 equivalent, which can be done at the same visit as the service.
If a fault appears while the equipment is under the manufacturer’s warranty, tell us the make, model and installation date. We will explain how the manufacturer’s terms are likely to apply before any chargeable work goes ahead.

Different systems, different jobs
Wall-mounted, ducted and cassette units
Wall-mounted units are the most common indoor unit in homes. Filters and covers come off easily for cleaning and the drain is cleared at the same visit.
Indoor and outdoor coils
The indoor coil is where the air is cooled or warmed. Cleaning removes the dust that coats the fins, and we look for damage or corrosion.
Common questions in Brighton
Does being near the sea make a difference to air conditioning servicing in Brighton?
It can. Brighton is within about 1 mile of the coast, and salt air speeds up corrosion on outdoor units. Regular servicing, with the outdoor coil cleaned and checked, helps a coastal system last.
Do you cover Brighton for air conditioning servicing?
Yes, Brighton is within the area we cover. Get in touch with the details and we reply the same working day.
Do you provide F-Gas records?
Yes, on every job. A new system comes with commissioning details, F-Gas records and the manufacturer’s warranty information, and repairs and services get a record of the work.
Do you work on all makes?
We install and work on the leading makes, including Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Hitachi. Send us the make and model if you have it.
Do you offer maintenance contracts?
Yes. Maintenance contracts are part of what we do, set at the interval the system and the manufacturer’s terms need. Every visit is recorded, with F-Gas records where refrigerant work is involved.
Are you F-Gas certified?
We are an F-Gas certified company, NICEIC approved for electrical work and MCS certified for heat pumps. We are members of Checkatrade too.
Can I have a maintenance contract for my air conditioning?
We do, for one unit at home or many across a site. The visits, what each covers and the price are agreed with your quote, so servicing and any required leak checks stay on schedule.
Let and managed properties
The F-gas rules share responsibility for leak checking between the equipment’s operator and the service technicians. Where a building is let or managed, the lease or contract should make clear who looks after the system and we’re happy to deal with whoever it is.
Managing agents often deal with us directly. Tell us the property, the work and the access arrangements, and we will send a fixed-price quote.
How the visit works
On the day, we arrive at the time agreed with you and run through the plan before anything else. Dust sheets go down over floors and anything close to the work, and anything electrical is made safe before work starts. On site, it takes an hour or two for most homes, and longer where there are several indoor units or a ducted system. Photos of the existing unit and its label help with repairs and servicing in Brighton.
- We start with the details of the system and anything you’ve noticed.
- The indoor units are opened up and the filters, coils and drain trays cleaned.
- The outdoor unit gets its own clean, with leaves and debris cleared away.
- Electrical connections, controls and refrigerant performance are tested.
- If a repair is needed, you hear why and what it costs before anything is done.
Preparing for the visit
- Find the manual or the paperwork for the system, if you have it
- Plan for pets to be kept clear during the visit
- Mention any parking restrictions near the property
Getting a price
Here’s what helps us quote: where the property is and what kind of building it is, a few pictures, the brand and model of anything already fitted and anything you’ve noticed, such as an error code or a noise. Then ring us on 07833 053749 or send an email.

When it’s something else
Air conditioning servicing can’t fix everything, and we will tell you before we start. It doesn’t solve:
- Rooms that gain heat faster than any unit could cope with
- A system short of gas because of a leak
- A system that is too small for the room it serves
If you’re not sure, just phone 07833 053749 or drop us a line and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.
What the work covers

Servicing in Brighton: local notes
Brighton is within about 1 mile of the coast. Coastal outdoor units are worth checking for corrosion at every service. The Valley Gardens Conservation Area is within about a third of a mile of the centre of Brighton. In the mile around Brighton’s centre, 11 conservation areas have been designated. Historic England lists about 78 buildings and structures within half a mile of the centre of Brighton, including Church of St Bartholomew (grade I). We keep it in mind in case a new outdoor unit is ever needed, as protected buildings can need consent for that. About 66% of homes in and around Brighton were built before 1919, according to VOA council tax data, and about 58% of households live in flats, according to Census 2021 figures. Balcony, roof or high wall? Knowing where a flat’s outdoor unit is helps us bring the right access kit.
