Air conditioning servicing for homes and businesses in Beansheaf Farm
We’re asked to service systems for many different reasons: a musty smell, weak cooling, water dripping indoors or simply because it’s been a while. The same full set of checks applies whatever prompted the call. If the problem is air conditioning that isn’t cooling as well as it did and warning lights on the indoor unit, we can sort it out.
A yearly service suits most systems around Beansheaf Farm, and regular servicing can be a condition of some manufacturers’ warranties.
For a fault on a system that may still be under warranty, send us the make, model and installation date. We’ll tell you how the manufacturer’s warranty is likely to apply before any chargeable work goes ahead.

Air conditioning servicing in Beansheaf Farm: the local picture
About 72% of households live in detached or semi-detached houses, according to the last census (2021). Access to the outdoor unit is the one detail that most changes how a visit is planned. On the National Heritage List, around 5 entries fall within 0.5 miles of the middle of Beansheaf Farm; Holybrook Cottage (grade II*) is one. Day-to-day work on an existing system is not affected; a replacement outdoor unit on a protected building might be.
Spring is a good time for a service, before the system is needed for cooling. For a school like Calcot Infant School and Nursery, maintenance visits can be booked out of term.

What else we do in Beansheaf Farm
What we do, step by step
Testing is the last part of the visit wherever the system can be switched on. Then we show you what we’ve done and answer any questions, and anything that needs attention later is pointed out. All told, the work takes an hour or so for a single wall-mounted unit, longer for a multi-split system. Everything the job in Beansheaf Farm needs is worked out beforehand.
- We book a time that suits you and confirm the price.
- The engineer runs the system and checks how it’s performing.
- We clean the filters, coils and fans and clear the condensate drain.
- The electrics, controls and refrigerant performance are checked, with a leak check where required.
- We run the system again and leave you a service record.
Before we arrive
- Move furniture away from the wall where we’ll be working
- Plan for pets to be kept clear during the visit
- Arrange for someone to be there to let us in
Getting a quote
Photos are the fastest route to a quote: the room or the existing unit, the outside wall or roof where the outdoor unit sits or would go, and the label on any existing unit. Add the address and what you’d like done, and simple jobs can often be priced without a visit.

Beansheaf Farm questions
Do you cover smaller places like Beansheaf Farm?
Yes, smaller places are covered as well as towns. A few pictures and the postcode are enough to get things started.
Do you cover Beansheaf Farm for air conditioning servicing?
Yes. Beansheaf Farm is one of the places we cover. Just phone us on 07833 053749 or drop us a line with a few details.
What does an annual air con service cost?
£95–£150 + VAT covers the annual service, confirmed before we book. Any repair is priced separately and only done with your agreement.
Which accreditations do you hold?
F-Gas certified, NICEIC approved and MCS certified for heat pumps, plus Checkatrade membership. Engineers who handle refrigerant hold their own F-gas qualifications as well.
Whose job is it to check the system for leaks?
Responsibility is shared between the operator, typically whoever owns or controls the equipment, and the service technicians. The interval depends on the refrigerant charge, measured in tonnes of CO2 equivalent: at least every 12 months from 5 tCO2e, and every 6 months from 50 tCO2e.
Why does F-Gas certification matter?
F-Gas certification shows a company is approved to work on equipment containing fluorinated gases, such as the refrigerant in air conditioning and heat pumps. In Great Britain, that certification is a legal requirement, not an optional extra, and AirCon Doctor is certified.
Can I fit air conditioning or a heat pump myself?
No, not the refrigerant side. Under the F-gas rules, it must be done by qualified engineers from a certified company, and a new circuit is notifiable under Part P unless a registered electrician, such as a NICEIC approved contractor, does it.
Looking after your system
After the visit, a few habits help:
- Keep the filters clean between visits
- Keep to an annual service, or more often if needed
- Make sure the condensate outlet can drain
For systems that need them, the leak check and its result go on record and the next one falls due within 6 or 12 months, depending on the system. We can diary it for you.
An annual service is the simplest routine to keep to, and more often if the system works hard or the rules require it.
When something else is needed
In fairness, some problems need a different answer:
- A failed compressor, fan motor or circuit board, which needs a repair
- A system short of gas because of a leak
- Rooms that gain heat faster than any unit could cope with
If in doubt, call us on 07833 053749 or email us and we’ll say what we think before booking.
Parts of the system we cover
- Multi-split systems
- Wall-mounted split systems
- Ceiling cassettes
- VRF systems
- Ducted systems
- Air-to-air heat pumps
Why deal with it now?
When air cannot get through the unit easily, the system has to run longer to get there. Cleaning them is a small job, and it means the system is not straining through the summer. A system that’s left with a fault, or without a service, typically costs more to run.
Several rooms, units or sites on one quote can make for a more efficient booking. Mention every unit or room you need covered and we’ll price it together.
Why us?
- Clear warranty information from the manufacturer
- Diagnosis first, then a fixed price
- MCS certified for heat pumps

“Office air con broke down in the July heatwave. Called at 8am, engineer was here by noon and fixed within 2 hours. Brilliant emergency response. They now hold the service contract for the whole building.”
