Our air conditioning service in MK3
Any installation we do in MK3 follows the same process as everywhere else we work: a site survey, or photos for simple jobs, then a fixed-price quote, the installation, commissioning and F-Gas records. The price is fixed up front and the records are handed over at the end. The work covers ducted systems, air-to-air heat pumps and multi-split systems, and the jobs we see most are portable units that are noisy and barely cope and rooms under the roof that stay hot into the night.
Each visit runs to the same pattern: check the plan with you, protect the area, carry out the job, check the system and talk you through it. On site, the work takes a day or more, depending on the number of rooms, the pipe routes and the access.
- We survey the property, or work from your photos for a simple job.
- Output, positions and price are settled before anything is booked.
- On the day, dust sheets go down and the indoor and outdoor units are fitted.
- Connections are made, checked for leaks and pulled down to a vacuum.
- It’s switched on, checked and handed over with its records.
What you will pay
Several rooms, units or sites on one quote can make for a more efficient booking. Mention every unit or room you need covered, and you will get one fixed price.

Getting a quote
Quotes do not take long. Send a few details and photos, and we reply the same working day. If we need to see the property first, we book a survey at a time that works for you.
Landmarks near Bletchley
We fit and service air conditioning in homes and premises around St. Mary's Church, Waterhall Park and Lord Grey Academy and the streets around them. There’s a railway station in Bletchley itself: Bletchley station. Nearby you’ll also find Bletchley Community Hospital (within half a mile north-west) and Hangmans Hill (2.4 miles south-west). Green spaces nearby include Newfoundout and Blue Lagoon Park.
Air conditioning across MK3: local notes
Planning rules are the same across England, MK3 included: cooling-only units aren’t covered, listed buildings need consent and conservation areas restrict outdoor units facing a road.
We are based in East Grinstead and work across London and the South East, MK3 included. Every job starts with a site survey or pictures, then a fixed-price quote.
Bletchley: Around St. Mary's Church, a quick check of the listing and conservation maps is part of planning any install. Bletchley Park, about 0.3 miles north, is one of the historic houses nearby, and if your own home is listed, consent comes before any air conditioning is fixed to it.
Looking after your system
Systems last better with the right care. We suggest:
- Close windows and doors while the system is cooling
- Don’t cover or box in the outdoor unit
- Keep the handover documents somewhere safe
- Choose a comfortable set temperature rather than the lowest
Questions after the installation go to the same number. Let us know what’s happening and any error code and we’ll help you sort it out.
Book an annual service. The engineer cleans the coils and drain, checks the electrics and the refrigerant circuit and catches small problems early and keeps the warranty paperwork right where servicing is a condition.
When something else is needed
We will always give you a straight diagnosis, so here’s what this work can’t put right:
- A lack of fresh air (most split systems recirculate room air rather than bringing fresh air in, which is a job for ventilation)
- Damp from leaks or a lack of ventilation
- Work that needs permission from a landlord or the council
Signs you need air conditioning
Some people come to us for heating rather than cooling. Direct electric heaters convert electricity into heat one for one, while an air-to-air heat pump moves heat from outside, so it gives out more heat than the electricity it uses. Most modern split systems work this way.
It’s time to call us if you’re dealing with:
- A business premises that overheats in summer
- A loft room or top floor that bakes in summer
- A system on old refrigerant that is due for replacement
- A home office that warms up with screens and equipment
What affects the quote in MK3
A fixed price needs a few facts first. We look at:
- The type of system, from a single split to a larger system
- The electrical supply and whether a new circuit is needed
- The distance and route between the indoor and outdoor units
- Whether it’s a one-off job or part of a maintenance contract
Homes, offices, shops and public buildings are all priced the same way: what’s needed, how we reach it, the parts and the labour. Ask for a fixed-price quote and we will go through it with you.
What to send for a quote
To help us quote quickly, please include:
- The make and model of the system, from the label
- Wide pictures of the room or the existing unit
- The outdoor side of the property, including any roof or flat area
- Your consumer unit or fuse board
Published ranges are a starting point; the quote is built on your property, because every property is different. Once we’ve looked at the job, from photos or on a survey, you get a fixed price. To start, call 07833 053749 or write to us at info@aircondoctor.co.uk.
Questions from MK3
What size air conditioning unit do I need?
Floor area is only part of it. Glazing, orientation, the roof and what goes on in the room all affect it and the survey covers each of them.
Will I get records for the system?
Yes. It’s the record a manufacturer or the next engineer will ask to see: a dated note of the work, with refrigerant details where they apply.
Should I choose wall-mounted, ducted or cassette?
Number of rooms, space outside and how much of the unit you want to see all decide it. Ducted systems need a ceiling void or loft, and cassettes need a suspended ceiling, which we check on the survey.
Do you work on systems someone else installed?
Yes. We look at it first and tell you what we find, including any issues with how it was fitted. Any work is priced before it goes ahead.
Do you look at the job first?
Yes. Photos often do the job for simple work, while larger systems and faults that need testing are seen on site.
Will skipping a service affect the warranty?
It depends on the manufacturer’s terms. Some manufacturers make regular servicing by a qualified engineer a condition of the warranty, so it’s worth checking. Either way, keep a record of every service.
Can I do any of the installation myself?
Anything that involves the refrigerant needs an F-Gas qualified engineer from a certified company. That is a legal requirement, and it also matters for the manufacturer’s warranty. We can quote for the whole job, from supply to commissioning.
