Commercial air conditioning in Whiteley Village, done properly

Every commercial job is commercial systems priced after survey. We look at the building, the people in it, the equipment and the hours it’s used, then send a fixed-price quote. So you know exactly what you’re getting and what it costs. We are often asked to deal with F-gas leak checks and records that are overdue and older systems on refrigerants that are getting scarcer, on server and comms room cooling, multi-split systems and VRF systems.

For a hall or similar building near Whiteley Village, an air-to-air system that responds quickly suits intermittent use, and it can heat as well as cool.

Nothing is signed off by word of mouth: commissioning details for an installation, a fault and repair note for a repair, or a record of the service. Keep it with the system’s paperwork so it’s to hand next time.

Commercial air conditioning around Whiteley Village

Food Standards Agency data counts about 17 restaurants, cafés and canteens, about 3 hotels, B&Bs and guest houses and about 4 schools and colleges in and around Whiteley Village, up to about a mile and a half out. Many of those sites need air conditioning that is sized for long hours and maintained on a schedule. Central Whiteley Village is inside the Whiteley Village Conservation Area. Chapel of Ease, listed at grade II, is one of roughly 132 protected buildings and structures in the half-mile around Whiteley Village’s centre. None of this rules air conditioning out. It just means the planning position is checked before anyone suggests a spot for the outdoor unit.

Healthcare premises near No. 2 New Zealand General Hospital need air conditioning that is easy to clean and maintained on a schedule. Before any plant goes outside a building like Church of St Mark, its trustees may need planning or heritage advice, and we work with whoever gives it.

When it’s something else

To be straight with you, some problems need a different answer:

  • Planning permission or landlord consent on your behalf
  • Fire strategy sign-off
  • Acting as the energy assessor

If in doubt, call us on 07833 053749 or drop us a line and we will say what we think.

Where we work

  • VRF systems
  • Server and comms room cooling
  • Wall-mounted split systems
  • Ceiling cassettes
  • Multi-split systems
  • Ducted systems

Aftercare tips

Every system needs looking after, and most of it is easy. A few tips:

  • Keep outdoor units clear of rubbish and stored goods
  • Plan regular servicing with a contract
  • Review older R410A systems before they need major repairs

We show your team how to use the controls, so the system is run the way it was designed. Simple settings make a real difference to comfort and running.

Simple control settings help. Systems fighting each other, or set to extremes, waste effort and correct settings avoid it.

How it works

Anything involving refrigerant is handled by F-Gas qualified engineers, as the law requires, while the electrical side is covered by our NICEIC approval. So on the day, you do not need a separate electrician for the electrical side. The work takes a matter of days for a modest fit-out, with larger buildings phased floor by floor or zone by zone. We plan the trip to Whiteley Village around you.

  1. We start with the details of the building and the problem.
  2. We survey the site to check heat gains, layout and access.
  3. The options, cost and timing are set out in a fixed-price quote.
  4. Installation goes ahead around the business.
  5. We commission it, hand it over and can set up a maintenance contract.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Give us access to the outside wall, roof or yard where the outdoor unit sits
  • Let us know where the consumer unit is
  • Let us know if the units are on a roof, a high wall or in a locked area

Ask for a quote

Photos are the fastest route to a quote: the room or the existing unit, the outside wall or roof where the outdoor unit sits or would go, and the label on any existing unit. Tell us the address and what you need, and simple jobs can often be priced without a visit.

Advice

Leave it or put it right?

Small faults in a commercial system can spread to the whole building’s comfort. Regular servicing finds problems early and keeps the building comfortable. A system that’s left with a fault, or without a service, typically costs more to run.

The price reflects the work, not guesswork. That’s why we look at the job first, from pictures or on a survey, and why the quote is fixed before work begins.

FAQs for Whiteley Village

Is Whiteley Village within the area you cover?

Yes. Whiteley Village is within the area we cover across London and the South East. Visits to smaller places are planned so the engineer arrives with what the job needs.

Is Whiteley Village in your area for commercial air conditioning?

Yes. We work across London and the South East from our base in East Grinstead, and Whiteley Village is part of that. Just call us on 07833 053749 or fill in the contact form with a few details.

Are you F-Gas certified?

AirCon Doctor is an F-Gas certified company, NICEIC approved for electrical work and MCS certified for heat pumps. We’re also Checkatrade members.

Is there a survey before the work?

Yes. Photos often do the job for simple work, while larger systems and faults that need testing are seen on site.

What F-gas duties does a business have?

Responsibility is shared between the operator and the certified technicians who work on the system. The operator must make sure leak checks are done where required and records are kept, and we provide both.

Who has to arrange F-Gas leak checks?

Whoever operates the equipment, together with the technicians who service it. Larger systems need regular checks: at least every 12 months from 5 tCO2e and every 6 months from 50 tCO2e. We can tell you which band your system falls into.

Do I need planning permission?

That depends on what’s being fitted and where. In England, an air source heat pump on a house can be permitted development if it meets set conditions, including the MCS 020(a) noise check, while a unit that only cools is not covered and needs checking with the council. Flats, listed buildings and conservation areas have tighter rules. This is general information, not legal advice.

A customer’s words

“Excellent service from start to finish. Two wall-mounted units installed in our home. Clean, tidy work: they protected all the floors and left no mess. The systems work brilliantly. Would highly recommend.”
