Commercial air conditioning in Tye

Commercial air conditioning in Tye

Commercial air conditioning is a big part of what we do, for businesses in Tye and the rest of Hampshire. That includes offices, shops, restaurants, hotels, schools and server rooms and we choose the system to suit the space and the way it’s used. We’re often asked to deal with F-gas leak checks and records that are overdue and older systems on refrigerants that are getting scarcer, on server and comms room cooling, ceiling cassettes and ducted systems.

Around Tye, there’s normally space for outdoor plant away from the road.

We are an F-Gas certified company, NICEIC approved for electrical work, with MCS certification for heat pumps and Checkatrade membership. Our engineers hold the F-gas qualifications needed to work on refrigerant.

How the visit works

The visit goes in the diary at a time that works for you, and we let you know if plans need to move. On arrival, the engineer compares the job with the survey, your photos or the details you gave us. Anything unexpected is raised with you before we go further. From there, the work takes as long as the site and the system need, from a short install to a phased project planned around opening hours. For a place like Tye, the timing is set with you and the travel is our side of the planning.

  1. First comes a site survey of the building, its occupancy and the heat it has to deal with.
  2. A fixed-price quote follows, covering the system type, the layout and the timing.
  3. Dates are set with you so trading, teaching or treatment carries on, using evenings, weekends or phases where it helps.
  4. On site, the team mounts the plant, runs and proves the pipework, and wires the controls.
  5. Finally it’s commissioned and handed over, with the refrigerant records and manuals for your files.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Name a contact who can meet us at the agreed time
  • Mention any managing agent or landlord rules we need to follow
  • Plan for pets to be kept clear during the visit

Ask for a quote

The quickest way to a quote is to send photos: the inside and outside of the property where the work is, plus the rating plate of any unit already there. Add the address and what you’d like done, and many jobs can be priced from that.

Advice

What the work involves, system by system

Shops and restaurants

Shops and restaurants need comfortable customers and staff. Work can be scheduled out of hours so the doors can stay open.

Offices

Offices gain heat from occupants, equipment and the sun. We size the system for the actual heat load and choose units that suit the ceiling and layout.

Honest limits

In fairness, some problems need a different answer:

  • Boiler installation or repair
  • Formal planning decisions, which rest with the council
  • Fire safety design or fire risk assessments

If you’re not sure, just ring us on 07833 053749 or use the quote form and we will give you a straight answer.

Where we work

  • Multi-split systems
  • Ceiling cassettes
  • Server and comms room cooling
  • Ducted systems
  • Wall-mounted split systems

Common questions in Tye

Is air conditioning in Tye permitted development?

It depends on the property. Historic England lists about 5 buildings and structures within half a mile of the centre of Tye. Put simply: reversible systems on houses can be permitted development, cooling-only ones can’t, listed buildings need consent, and conservation areas limit outdoor units facing a road. When your property needs a decision, we contact the planning department at Havant council, normally the authority for Tye.

Is Tye within the area you cover?

We do. Villages and hamlets get the same service as the bigger towns. Visits to smaller places are planned so the engineer arrives with what the job needs.

When will I hear back?

On the same working day you contact us. After that, we agree a survey, diagnosis or installation date that suits you, with a fixed price before work starts.

Do you install in the evenings or at weekends?

Yes, we plan out-of-hours, weekend and phased installs to keep disruption down. The programme is agreed with your quote.

Do you offer maintenance contracts?

Yes. We offer maintenance contracts, with visits at the interval your system and the manufacturer need. Each visit is recorded, with F-Gas records where refrigerant work is involved.

Do you offer emergency call-outs?

Yes. There’s a 24/7 emergency line for problems that cannot wait for a planned visit. Ring 07833 053749 any time and explain the problem.

Are you F-Gas certified?

We’re an F-Gas certified company, with NICEIC approval for electrical work and MCS certification for heat pumps. We are members of Checkatrade too.

How we price commercial air conditioning

Some jobs are bigger than they look, and some smaller. What affects the quote:

  • The condition of any existing system
  • The size of the job
  • How far the pipework has to run, and where

Our prices page shows typical ranges, but each job is priced on what it involves. For a fixed-price quote, phone us on 07833 053749 or drop us a line, and we’ll explain what it covers.

Helping us quote

There’s no need for technical detail. It helps if you can send:

  • A close-up of the unit’s label showing the model number
  • The postcode and whether it’s a home, flat or business
  • Any error code or flashing light on the display

To get a fixed-price quote, ring 07833 053749 or send an email with the address and a few details about the rooms or units involved. Photos help a lot. We reply to enquiries the same working day.

Cooling for Tye businesses

At about 1 mile from the coast, Tye is close enough for sea air to matter. Rooftop and wall-mounted plant near the sea needs protecting from salt air, through position, coil coatings where available and regular maintenance. Food Standards Agency records list about 7 restaurants, cafés and canteens, about 4 hotels and guest houses and about 3 care homes, nurseries and hospitals in and around Tye, up to about a mile and a half out. Each of those is a different cooling job, from kitchen heat to quiet bedrooms and server rooms.

Clinics, dental practices and pharmacies around Havant War Memorial Hospital (about 2.9 miles north-west) usually want quiet indoor units with filters that are simple to keep clean. For a church or hall like Church of St Peter, any outdoor unit needs the right consents first.

Tye is about 3 miles south of Havant, in Hampshire. Our engineers cover Tye for commercial air conditioning, along with the rest of Hampshire. In Hampshire alone we list 683 places, and Tye is one. The nearest of our city pages is Worthing, around 24 miles from Tye.

Not far from Tye, a recent job of ours was on East Street, Chichester (PO19), about 8 miles east: installing a Daikin wall-mounted unit in the dining area and a second unit serving the kitchen pass area.

If your postcode is in PO11, the property is within reach. Gutner Lane and Copse Lane and the roads off them are all inside our area. Close by, we work in North Hayling (1 mile north), Northney (1 mile north), Stoke (1 mile west), Thorney Island (1 mile north-east) and Warblington (2 miles north). We also work in nearby towns such as Gosport (8 miles west), Havant (3 miles north), Fareham (11 miles west) and Horndean (7 miles north).

Local landmarks in Tye

Around Tye, our work takes us to homes and businesses near The Hayling College, Eames Farm and The Maypole pub and the streets around them. For rail, the closest station is Emsworth station, about 2.6 miles north. Well-known places in the area include Havant War Memorial Hospital (2.9 miles north-west) and Emsworth Museum (2.4 miles north). The countryside around Tye includes Hayling Billy.
