Commercial air conditioning around Hawridge

The FSA’s food hygiene register shows about 3 restaurants, cafés and canteens within 1.5 miles or so of the middle of Hawridge. Restaurants, hotels, schools and care settings each need cooling designed for their hours and heat loads. The Cholesbury and Hawridge Conservation Area lies close to the centre of Hawridge, within about a third of a mile. Listed buildings are part of the picture here: about 8 within half a mile of the centre, such as Boxtree Cottage (grade II). Heritage protection changes what an install can involve, so the survey looks at your address first and tells you plainly whether consent is likely.

Churches and halls such as Church of St Mary are often used a few hours at a time, which suits a system that heats or cools a space quickly, once consents are in place. Schools such as Hawridge and Cholesbury Church of England School normally have the work done in the holidays, when classrooms are empty.

About our commercial air conditioning in Hawridge

The business that operates the system has F-gas responsibilities. Systems at or above 5 tCO2e need leak checks, and records kept of the checks and the work done. We handle the checks and records and remind you when the next is due. We’re often asked to deal with older systems on refrigerants that are getting scarcer and staff complaining about the temperature, across ceiling cassettes, ducted systems and multi-split systems.

If you run a village hall or similar building near Hawridge, heating and cooling that warms up fast suits a space used on and off, and it can heat as well as cool.

Think of the paperwork as the system’s health record: what was fitted or found, what was done and when. It makes the next visit quicker and any warranty question simpler, so keep it safe.

Common questions in Hawridge

Can you do commercial air conditioning in Hawridge?

Yes, Hawridge is within the area we cover. To start, ring us on 07833 053749 with a few pictures.

Will you come out to Hawridge?

Yes. Hawridge is within the area we cover across London and the South East. Send a few details and photos, and we reply the same working day.

Can you come out in an emergency?

Yes, day and night. When you call, tell us the make, what’s happening and any error code, and we will talk you through the next steps.

How long does a commercial installation take?

A typical installation takes a few days for a small shop or office, longer for VRF across several floors. Out-of-hours and phased work can spread the programme but keeps the business running.

Whose job is it to check the system for leaks?

The operator of the equipment, working with qualified engineers. Systems below 5 tCO2e fall outside the set leak check intervals, while larger ones need checks at least every 12 months, or every 6 months from 50 tCO2e. We can tell you which band your system falls into.

How soon will you get back to me?

You will hear from us the same working day. For a breakdown that can’t wait, call our 24/7 emergency line.

Do I need planning permission?

Sometimes. The rules differ for heat pumps and cooling-only air conditioning, and for houses, flats, listed buildings and conservation areas. We point out anything that may need permission at the survey and the council makes the decision. This is general information, not legal advice.

How the visit works

The first job on site is protection: dust sheets over floors and furniture near the work and nothing is moved without asking you. After that, anything electrical is made safe and we start. It takes as long as the site and the system need, from a short install to a phased project planned around opening hours, and we tidy up before we leave. A note on how to find the property and where to park makes a visit to Hawridge easier.

  1. It starts with a survey on site, looking at the space, the people in it and the equipment.
  2. We send a fixed-price quote showing the system, the unit positions and how the work will be phased.
  3. We agree a programme that suits the site, including evening, weekend or phased installation.
  4. The system goes in, from units and pipework to drainage, wiring and controls.
  5. Commissioning, F-gas records and a handover of the controls finish the job.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Have the make and model of any existing unit to hand
  • Give us access to the outside wall, roof or yard where the outdoor unit sits
  • Move furniture away from the wall where we will be working

Every quote shows the VAT clearly, and the rate that applies to your job is stated. VAT can differ between homes and businesses and between kinds of work, so we confirm it in writing rather than guess. For a fixed-price quote, call us on 07833 053749 or use the quote form.

Before you call an engineer

Owner care supports servicing; it doesn’t replace it. Simple care keeps the air moving through the system, but the refrigerant circuit, the electrics and the parts you can’t see still need an engineer at the interval the manufacturer recommends.

Leave the units and pipework where they are. Moving a unit involves the refrigerant circuit, so it needs an F-Gas qualified engineer, and the electrical side needs a competent person. If you need something moved, we can quote for it.

Let and managed properties

Under the GB F-gas rules, responsibility for leak checks is shared between whoever operates the equipment and the engineers who work on it. Where a building is let or managed, the lease or contract should make clear who looks after the system, and we can work for either side.

We also work for facilities teams in offices, schools and public buildings across Buckinghamshire. Larger buildings can be done in stages to keep disruption down.

System by system

Offices

Installation can be done out of hours or floor by floor, so the office stays open.

VRF and VRV systems

With VRF or VRV, one set of outdoor units serves many indoor units. Each zone can be controlled separately making it a common choice for larger buildings.

A customer’s words

“Office air con broke down in the July heatwave. Called at 8am, engineer was here by noon and fixed within 2 hours. Brilliant emergency response. They now hold the service contract for the whole building.”
