Air conditioning in Whiteley, done properly
The best installations are planned before a single hole is drilled. Each room is assessed for its size, windows, direction and how it’s used, then agree where the indoor and outdoor units go and how the pipework, cable and condensate drain will run, all before the price is fixed. For air conditioning in Whiteley, one call covers the survey, the fixed-price quote, the installation and the F-Gas paperwork.
Around Whiteley, older cottages and newer houses can be very different to work on. Thick walls and beams mean planning the pipe route carefully, and if the home is listed, consent comes before any work.
Some warranty terms depend on the system being serviced regularly by a qualified engineer. If that applies to your system, booking the service on time keeps the record straight, and every service is written up.

Air conditioning around Whiteley
About 77% of households live in detached or semi-detached houses, according to the 2021 Census. Detached and semi-detached houses normally have space for the outdoor unit, and several rooms can share one on a multi-split. At about 66 miles from central London, Whiteley sits inside the area we cover across London and the South East.
Homes near St Margaret Mary are a good example of where we look up the heritage status of the building before fixing anything to it. Close to Swanwick station? A small study or box room used for work can usually be cooled with a single indoor unit.

What you can do yourself, and what needs us
Some faults have simple causes you can check first: check the mode, the set temperature, the remote’s batteries and the breaker. If the breaker trips a second time, leave it off and ring 07833 053749 or fill in the contact form.
Keep a note of anything odd: error codes, noises, drips, smells or a drop in performance. It helps us diagnose quickly, and a photo or a short video of the display is even better.

Whiteley questions
Do you cover smaller places like Whiteley?
Yes, smaller places are covered as well as towns. We’re based in East Grinstead and plan each visit so the job can be finished in one trip where possible.
Can I get a fixed-price quote for air conditioning in Whiteley?
Send us photos of the room or the system and a few details about the property. We reply the same working day, and the quote is fixed before any work starts.
How do you size the system?
Floor area is only part of it. Windows, the direction the room faces, the roof above and the people and equipment in it all count and the survey covers each of them.
Do you survey before quoting?
Yes, every time. We diagnose before we treat: the survey shows what’s needed, where things go and what access we need, and the quote is based on that.
Where does the outdoor unit go?
We agree it with you on the survey. It needs space around it to breathe and room for an engineer to service it, and walls or roofs facing a road can raise planning questions. We explain the options and any permissions to check.
Which type of system should I choose?
It depends on the rooms and the building. A split suits one room, a multi-split several, a ducted system hides the unit, and a cassette spreads air across larger rooms. We recommend one on the survey and explain why.
Do I need to service the system to keep the warranty?
It can, for some brands. Send us the make and model and we will tell you what the manufacturer expects, and book the service at the interval they recommend.
How the visit works
The first job on site is protection: dust sheets over floors and furniture near the work and nothing is moved without asking you. After that, anything electrical is made safe and we start. It takes a day or more, depending on the number of rooms, the pipe routes and the access, and we clear up before we go. Getting to the outside of the property matters more than parking in a place like Whiteley.
- You send pictures, or we visit and survey the rooms and outside.
- Output, positions and price are settled before anything is booked.
- On the day, dust sheets go down and the indoor and outdoor units are fitted.
- Pipework, cable and drain are run, the circuit is connected and the pipework is pressure tested and evacuated.
- The system is commissioned, the controls explained and the F-Gas records handed over.
Getting ready for the visit
- Clear the space around the indoor unit, or where it will go
- Let us know if the building has a permit or sign-in process
- Keep pets and children away from the work area
Getting a quote
Every quote shows the VAT clearly, and the rate that applies to your job is stated. VAT can differ between homes and businesses and between kinds of work, so we confirm it in writing rather than guess. To get one, give us a ring on 07833 053749 or fill in the contact form.
Advice
What happens if it’s left?
Refrigerant rules have changed what new systems use. Since 2025, new single split systems with less than 3 kg of refrigerant cannot use F gases with a GWP above 750, which is why R32, with a GWP of 675, is now common. R410A, used in many older systems, has a GWP of 2088. For a place like Whiteley, booking ahead lets us plan the visit properly.
The pipe route, the height of the units and how we reach them can all change the price. We take each of them into account and give you a fixed price before we start.

Aftercare tips
So the system stays in good health:
- Keep to the service interval the manufacturer recommends
- Use moderate settings for comfort and economy
- Clean the filters every few weeks when the system is in heavy use
Questions after the installation go to the same number. Let us know what’s happening and any error code and we will help you sort it out.
Clean the filters regularly, not just at the service. Blocked filters cut airflow and make the system work harder, so it uses less electricity for the same comfort.
What a customer said
“Excellent service from start to finish. Two wall-mounted units installed in our home. Clean, tidy work: they protected all the floors and left no mess. The systems work brilliantly. Would highly recommend.”
