Air conditioning across Densole

Air conditioning around Densole

At about 60 miles from central London, Densole sits inside the area we cover across London and the South East. About 47% of homes in the Densole area have been built since 2000, according to VOA council tax data, and the last census (2021) found about 68% of households in detached or semi-detached houses. Newer homes typically have cavity walls and loft space that make pipe runs easier, though some estates have planning conditions or covenants worth checking. Houses typically have a side or rear wall with room for the outdoor unit, and a multi-split can serve several rooms from one outdoor unit.

If your home is in one of the older streets near St Luke's, it’s worth checking whether it’s listed or in a conservation area before an install. About 1.2 miles north-west stands Acrise Place. Listed homes in any area need consent first, so tell us if yours is one.

Densole is about 3 miles north of Folkestone, in Kent. From the centre of Densole to the outskirts, our engineers cover air conditioning, from a single room to a whole building. We cover 922 places across Kent. There’s also a page for Eastbourne, roughly 45 miles from Densole.

Air conditioning in Densole

Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Hitachi are among the brands we fit. The survey ends with a recommendation and the reasons for it, along with the manufacturer’s warranty terms on your quote. Air con, air conditioning, a split system: whatever you call it, it’s the job we do every week across Kent.

In a village like Densole, many homes are older, and some are listed. That matters, because a listed home needs consent and permitted development rules don’t apply to it, and the outdoor unit position is chosen to suit the building.

Each manufacturer sets its own warranty period. Daikin, for example, gives a standard 2 years on split air conditioning, with longer extensions only on its air-to-water heat pumps. For any other brand, we explain the manufacturer’s terms on your quote.

For landlords and property managers

Where a tenant occupies the property but the landlord owns the system, the lease or tenancy agreement normally sets out who maintains what. We’re happy to deal with either side and send the records to whoever needs them.

The F-gas rules share responsibility for leak checking between the equipment’s operator and the service technicians. Where a building is let or managed, the lease or contract should make clear who looks after the system and we’re happy to deal with whoever it is.

Densole: your questions answered

Is Densole in your area for air conditioning?

Yes. We work across London and the South East from our base in East Grinstead, and Densole is part of that. Just ring us on 07833 053749 with a few details.

Can I get a fixed-price quote for air conditioning in Densole?

Send us pictures of the room or the system and a few details about the property. Simple jobs can be priced from pictures; otherwise we arrange a site survey and then give you a fixed-price quote.

Will you work on another installer’s system?

Yes. We work on systems fitted by other installers as well as our own from all the leading brands. Tell us the make and model and send any paperwork you have.

Why does F-Gas certification matter?

Anyone installing, repairing or servicing the refrigerant side must be qualified, and their company certified. Ask to see proof before booking anyone, and we’re happy to show ours.

Do you protect the property while you work?

Floors and furniture near the work are covered with dust sheets before we start, and we tidy up as we go. At the end, we clear up and show you what we’ve done.

Are you F-Gas certified?

We are an F-Gas certified company, NICEIC approved for electrical work and MCS certified for heat pumps. We are members of Checkatrade too.

How soon will you get back to me?

You’ll hear from us the same working day. For a breakdown that cannot wait, call our 24/7 emergency line.

What air conditioning can’t fix

We will not sell you work that doesn’t address the problem, so here are the limits:

  • Damp from leaks or a lack of ventilation
  • Problems with a gas boiler or the radiators
  • Stuffy rooms that need fresh air rather than cooling

Not sure which it is? You can call 07833 053749 or fill in the contact form and we will tell you honestly.

What the work covers

  • Wall-mounted split systems
  • Ceiling cassettes
  • VRF systems
  • Air-to-air heat pumps
  • Multi-split systems
  • Ducted systems

How it works

You don’t need to do much on the day. Someone needs to let us in and show us the units, or where they’re going, and we take it from there. At the end, we tidy up and run through the work with you. Visits to Densole are agreed with you in advance and planned so the job can be finished in one trip where possible.

  1. We start by looking at the rooms, the walls and where the outdoor unit can go.
  2. We size the system for each room, then send a fixed-price quote with the units and where they go.
  3. The units go up and the pipework, cable and condensate drain are run neatly between them.
  4. We connect the supply, pressure test the pipework and evacuate it before the refrigerant is released.
  5. We commission the system, show you the controls and leave the F-Gas records and the manufacturer’s warranty details.

Preparing for the visit

  • Let us know if the units are on a roof, a high wall or in a locked area
  • Make sure we can reach the consumer unit or fuse board
  • Let us know if the building has a permit or sign-in process

How to get a quote

Photos are the fastest route to a quote: the room or the existing unit, the outside wall or roof where the outdoor unit sits or would go, and the label on any existing unit. Tell us the address and what you need, and many jobs can be priced from that.

Advice

Keeping the system healthy

Every system needs looking after, and most of it is easy. Our tips:

  • Keep the F-Gas records, commissioning details and warranty information together
  • Keep to the service interval the manufacturer recommends
  • Clean the filters every few weeks when the system is in heavy use

An annual service keeps the system running efficiently, and some manufacturers make regular servicing a condition of their warranty. We can remind you when it’s due if you’d like.

Keep the outdoor unit clear. Leaves, plants, bins and stored items around it restrict the airflow, and the system has to work harder as a result.

What a customer said

“Excellent service from start to finish. Two wall-mounted units installed in our home. Clean, tidy work: they protected all the floors and left no mess. The systems work brilliantly. Would highly recommend.”
