Thinking about air conditioning but not sure where to start? Just ring us on 07833 053749, or email if that’s easier with pictures of the rooms and the outside of the property, and we’ll reply the same working day about a survey or a fixed-price quote. Air conditioning installation in Cobham starts with a site survey, followed by a fixed-price quote with the brand, model and every part of the job set out.
Most installations here are a wall-mounted indoor unit, a short pipe run through the wall and an outdoor unit on the back or side of the property, with the condensate drained away safely.
Around Cobham, many people choose a system that heats as well as cools, which suits garden rooms, lofts and extensions that the main heating struggles with.
If a fault appears while the equipment is under the manufacturer’s warranty, tell us the make, model and installation date. We’ll tell you how the manufacturer’s warranty is likely to apply before anything chargeable is done.

Air conditioning around Cobham
VOA council tax data date about 70% of homes across Cobham and its surrounding area to the post-war years, 1945 to 1972, and the 2021 Census found about 89% of households in detached or semi-detached houses. We check the wall construction on homes of that age, as it decides how the pipework goes through. Detached and semi-detached houses normally have space for the outdoor unit, and several rooms can share one on a multi-split.
Around Parish Church of St Mary Magdalene, a quick check of the listing and conservation maps is part of planning any install. About 0.2 miles south-west stands Cobham College. Listed homes in any area need consent first, so tell us if yours is one.

FAQs for Cobham
Do you cover smaller places like Cobham?
Yes. Cobham is within the area we cover across London and the South East. Send a few details and pictures, and we reply the same working day.
Is planning permission needed for air conditioning in Cobham?
That depends on the building and where the outdoor unit goes. The Cobham Village Conservation Area takes in the middle of Cobham. Put simply: reversible systems on houses can be permitted development, cooling-only ones cannot, listed buildings need consent, and conservation areas limit outdoor units facing a road. When your property needs a decision, we contact Gravesham council, which is typically the planning authority for Cobham.
Can I do any of the installation myself?
The refrigerant side has to be done by a qualified engineer working for an F-Gas certified company. That’s the law, not just our preference, and manufacturers expect it for their warranty too. We can quote for the whole job, from supply to commissioning.
Do you offer maintenance contracts?
Yes. Send details of the systems and how they’re used, and we will suggest a schedule with a fixed price. That can include the leak checks the F-gas rules require for larger systems.
Which type of system should I choose?
There’s no single best type. Wall-mounted splits suit single rooms, multi-splits run several rooms from one outdoor unit, ducted systems hide the unit in the ceiling, and cassettes suit offices and larger rooms. We recommend one on the survey and explain why.
How quickly will you reply?
On the same working day you contact us. Then we agree a date that works for you, with a fixed price before work starts.
Can you look at a system you didn’t fit?
Yes. We look at it first and tell you what we find, including anything about the original installation that needs putting right. You get a fixed price before any work goes ahead.
When it’s something else
It’s worth knowing the limits before booking:
- Damp or condensation caused by leaks or poor ventilation in the building (that needs the cause fixing)
- An installation that needs consent nobody has given yet
- Problems with a gas boiler or the radiators
Not sure which it is? You can call 07833 053749, or email if that’s easier and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.

How the visit works
Where something has to be switched off during the work, we agree it with you first so it does not catch you out. For businesses, we can normally work room by room or zone by zone. On site, it takes about a day for a single-room system, longer for multi-room and ducted systems. Somewhere like Cobham, it helps to know about lanes, gates and where to park.
- We survey the property, or work from your pictures for a simple job.
- Output, positions and price are settled before anything is booked.
- Sheets go down first, then the indoor unit and the condenser are mounted.
- Pipework, cable and drain are run, the circuit is connected and the pipework is pressure tested and evacuated.
- We commission, show you the controls and leave the F-Gas and warranty paperwork.
How to prepare
- Make sure someone can let us in at the agreed time
- Keep pets and children away from the work area
- Dig out any previous service or F-Gas records
Getting a quote
The quickest way to a quote is to send pictures: the inside and outside of the property where the work is, plus the rating plate of any unit already there. Tell us the address and what you need, and many jobs can be priced from that.
Advice
Before you call an engineer
There are a few things you can safely do yourself: keeping the outdoor unit clear, checking the mode and set temperature, and the routine cleaning in the manual. Opening up the units, the electrics and the refrigerant circuit are a job for us.
Never try to top up, release or handle refrigerant yourself. Under the F-gas rules, engineers need their own qualifications and the company must be certified, and refrigerant lines can cause cold burns. A suspected leak is our job, not yours.
Landlords, agents and facilities managers
For anyone managing more than one building, we can plan visits across the portfolio and price them together. Each property gets its own records, so each one has its own history.
Records are where property maintenance often slips. Each visit produces a dated record, plus the F-Gas records where refrigerant is involved, ready for a tenant, a buyer or an inspection.
A customer’s words
“Office air con broke down in the July heatwave. Called at 8am, engineer was here by noon and fixed within 2 hours. Brilliant emergency response. They now hold the service contract for the whole building.”
