Air conditioning servicing for Up Nately

What air conditioning will not do

We will always give you a straight diagnosis, so here’s what this work cannot put right:

  • Lost refrigerant, where the fix is a leak repair
  • Parts that have failed and need replacing
  • Cooling capacity that does not match the space

If in doubt, give us a ring on 07833 053749 or send an email and we’ll say what we think before booking.

What we work on in Up Nately

  • Air-to-air heat pumps
  • VRF systems
  • Ceiling cassettes
  • Ducted systems
  • Multi-split systems
  • Wall-mounted split systems

How we handle air conditioning servicing in Up Nately

For an annual service, the price is £95–£150 + VAT, confirmed before the visit is booked. Larger systems with several indoor units, ducted units or commercial plant are priced on their details. There’s no guessing at the bill afterwards. The work covers wall-mounted split systems, air-to-air heat pumps and multi-split systems, and the jobs we see most are smells coming from the indoor unit and a service that’s overdue.

Around Up Nately, outdoor units sit close to gardens and greenery, so leaves, seeds and cobwebs collect on the coil. A yearly clean keeps the system working well.

Each manufacturer sets its own warranty period. Daikin, for example, gives a standard 2 years on split air conditioning, with longer extensions only on its air-to-water heat pumps. For any other brand, we explain the manufacturer’s terms on your quote.

Looking after your system

After the visit, a few habits help:

  • Know your manufacturer’s servicing conditions
  • Rinse the indoor unit filters every few weeks when the system is in heavy use
  • Shut doors to the room so the system isn’t cooling the whole house

After the service, you get a record of what was done, listing the work, the checks and any recommendations. Keep it with the manufacturer’s paperwork so you have the whole history together.

Check that the condensate pipe outside can still drain. A pipe that’s been knocked or covered can back up into the indoor unit.

How we price air conditioning servicing

Your quote is based on your property. We take into account:

  • The pipe route between the units
  • The size of the job
  • The type of system, from a single split to a larger system

One room or a whole building, the quote is built the same way: what needs doing, how we get to it and what it needs. The price is fixed before any work starts, with VAT shown clearly.

Before you get in touch

To help us quote quickly, send us:

  • The address and the type of property
  • The make and model of the system, from the label
  • The fuse board and where it is in the property

Quotes don’t take long. Call or email with a few details and we will come back to you the same working day. If we need to see the property first, we book a survey at a time that works for you.

Up Nately questions

Do you cover smaller places like Up Nately?

Yes. Up Nately is within the area we cover across London and the South East. Send a few details and pictures, and we reply the same working day.

Can you do air conditioning servicing in Up Nately?

Yes. We work across London and the South East from our base in East Grinstead, and Up Nately is part of that. Tell us a little about the job and we’ll take it from there.

Do you work on systems someone else installed?

Yes. We work on systems fitted by other installers as well as our own from all the leading brands. Tell us the make and model and send any paperwork you have.

How long does an air conditioning service take?

As a guide, it takes around an hour for one indoor and one outdoor unit, with extra time for each additional indoor unit. Ducted units in ceiling voids and outdoor units in awkward places can add time and we’ll let you know before the visit.

Can we book visits on a schedule?

Yes. Maintenance contracts are part of what we do, with visits at the interval your system and the manufacturer need. Each visit is written up and F-Gas records kept where they apply.

When is an F-gas leak check required?

The rules are based on tCO2e, which comes from the refrigerant charge and its GWP. From 5 to under 50 tCO2e, leak checks are required at least every 12 months, and from 50 to under 500 tCO2e every 6 months. Hermetically sealed systems holding less than 10 tCO2e don’t need them.

What’s the price of a yearly air conditioning service?

It’s £95–£150 + VAT for an annual service. More complex systems are priced on their details and we confirm the cost in advance.

How it works

On the day, we arrive at the time agreed with you and check the plan with you first. Dust sheets go down over floors and anything close to the work, and the electrics are made safe before any panel comes off. On site, it takes anything from an hour for a simple split system to most of a day for a larger installation. We agree a date with you and plan the visit to Up Nately so we arrive with what’s needed.

  1. It begins with a few questions about the make, the rooms served and any symptoms.
  2. Each indoor unit has its covers lifted so the filters, coil and tray can be cleaned.
  3. Outside, the coil is cleaned, the fan checked and the area cleared.
  4. Readings are taken on the electrics and refrigerant circuit, and the controls are tried in each mode.
  5. Anything we find is explained, with a fixed price if it needs a repair.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Let us know where the consumer unit is
  • Arrange for someone to be there to let us in
  • Mention any managing agent or landlord rules we need to follow
