Air conditioning servicing in Singleton
Some systems need F-gas leak checks by law, and some do not. GOV.UK sets the frequency by the system’s tonnes of CO2 equivalent (tCO2e): at least every 12 months from 5 to under 50 tCO2e, and every 6 months from 50 to under 500 tCO2e. We work out where your system sits and check it accordingly. Typical jobs include a musty or damp smell when the unit starts and drips or damp patches below an indoor unit, on air-to-air heat pumps, ducted systems and ceiling cassettes.
Several units at a home near Singleton can be serviced in one visit.
Some warranty terms depend on the system being serviced regularly by a qualified engineer. If that applies to your system, booking the service on time keeps the record straight, and every service is written up.

Singleton: your questions answered
How often should air conditioning in Singleton be serviced?
Once a year suits most home systems. Larger systems holding 5 tonnes CO2 equivalent or more also need a leak check at least every 12 months under the F-gas rules.
Will you come out to Singleton?
Yes. Singleton is within the area we cover across London and the South East. Visits to smaller places are planned so the engineer arrives with what the job needs.
How quickly will you reply?
We reply to enquiries the same working day. If it’s an emergency, ring the 24/7 line instead.
Why use an F-Gas certified company?
Companies working on equipment that contains F gas must be certified by an approved body, and the engineers need their own qualifications. It means the refrigerant in your system is handled legally.
Who has to arrange F-Gas leak checks?
Responsibility is shared between the operator, usually whoever owns or controls the equipment, and the service technicians. How often depends on the size of the refrigerant charge in tonnes of CO2 equivalent: at least every 12 months from 5 tCO2e, and every 6 months from 50 tCO2e.
Do you survey before quoting?
Yes. For simple jobs, photos and a few details can be enough, while larger systems and faults that need testing are seen on site.
Will you work on another installer’s system?
Yes. Systems fitted by other companies are fine, on all the main brands. Tell us the make and model and send any paperwork you have.

What happens on the day
Our engineers arrive at the time agreed with you and run through the plan before anything else. Floors and furniture near the work are covered with dust sheets, and the electrics are made safe before any panel comes off. The work itself takes anything from an hour for a simple split system to most of a day for a larger installation. Photos of the existing unit help with repairs and servicing in Singleton.
- First, we agree a time and confirm the cost of the service.
- Before any cleaning, the system is run so we can see how it behaves.
- We clean the filters, coils and fans and clear the condensate drain.
- The electrics, controls and refrigerant performance are checked, with a leak check where required.
- A final test run follows, then you get the service record.
Before we arrive
- Mention any parking restrictions near the property
- Let us know if the building has a permit or sign-in process
- Have the make and model of any existing unit to hand

Before you call an engineer
Never try to top up, release or handle refrigerant yourself. The law requires anyone working on equipment containing F gas to hold the right qualifications, and the company to be certified, and refrigerant lines can cause cold burns. If you suspect a leak, switch the system off and call us.
Do not move, re-route or disconnect units or pipework yourself. Moving a unit involves the refrigerant circuit, so it needs an F-Gas qualified engineer, and the electrical side needs a competent person. Ask us to quote for a move instead.
What else we do in Singleton
Managing agents and facilities teams in Singleton
The F-gas rules share responsibility for leak checking between the equipment’s operator and the service technicians. Where a building is let or managed, the lease or contract should make clear who looks after the system, and we can work for either side.
From a single flat to a whole estate, the approach is the same: a look at the job first, a fixed-price quote, work booked with the occupier and written records afterwards.
System by system
Fans and electrics
Electrical connections are checked for tightness and signs of overheating. Loose connections can cause faults that come and go, so this matters.
Filters
Certain indoor units carry additional filters alongside the main ones. They’re checked too, and we explain what the manufacturer suggests.
From one of our customers
“Excellent service from start to finish. Two wall-mounted units installed in our home. Clean, tidy work: they protected all the floors and left no mess. The systems work brilliantly. Would highly recommend.”
