How we handle air conditioning servicing in Haslemere

A manufacturer’s warranty can come with conditions, and regular servicing may be one of them. Each brand sets its own terms and we’re happy to go through them with you. You get a record of each service to keep with the warranty paperwork. The work covers multi-split systems, air-to-air heat pumps and ceiling cassettes, and common reasons people get in touch are a musty or damp smell when the unit starts and ice forming on the pipework or outdoor unit.

In a place like Haslemere, the outdoor unit often sits near a garden, hedge or trees, so the outdoor coil can clog with leaves and seeds. Every service includes cleaning it.

Warranty on the equipment is the manufacturer’s own, on the manufacturer’s terms, and we set them out on your quote. Terms differ from brand to brand, so we go through them with you rather than leave you to find the small print.

What affects the cost of air conditioning servicing

Typical ranges are on our prices page, and your quote is built on your job. The quote depends on:

  • What state the existing equipment is in
  • The distance and route between the indoor and outdoor units
  • The number of rooms, units or zones

Our prices page shows typical ranges, but each job is priced on what it involves. Call for a fixed-price quote, and we’ll talk you through it.

What we need to know

When you contact us, it’s useful to have:

  • The outside wall, roof or yard where the outdoor unit sits or would go
  • The remote or wall controller showing any error
  • Where the property is and what kind of building it is

Our prices page gives typical ranges, but your quote is based on your job, because no two buildings, rooms or systems are the same. After a look at the job, by pictures or a survey, the price is fixed. To start, call us on 07833 053749.

What happens on the day

Our engineers arrive at the time agreed with you and run through the plan before anything else. Dust sheets go down over floors and anything close to the work, and anything electrical is made safe before work starts. On site, it takes an hour or so for a single wall-mounted unit, longer for a multi-split system. We load the van from the survey notes so the work in Haslemere can be done in one go where possible.

  1. First we take the details: brand, model if you have it, how many indoor units and anything that is been bothering you.
  2. The system is run and checked before anything is opened up.
  3. Filters are cleaned, coils treated and the drain tray and pipe cleared.
  4. We check the electrics, the controls and how the refrigerant circuit is performing, and carry out a leak check where the rules call for it.
  5. You get a service record, with anything that needs attention explained.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Let us know if the units are on a roof, a high wall or in a locked area
  • Clear access to the fuse board
  • Move furniture away from the wall where we’ll be working

Getting a quote

The quickest way to a quote is to send photos: the inside and outside of the property where the work is, plus the rating plate of any unit already there. Add the address and what you’d like done, and many jobs can be priced from that.

Your questions about air conditioning servicing in Haslemere

Do you cover smaller places like Haslemere?

Yes, and the size of the place makes no difference to how we work. A few pictures and the postcode are enough to get things started.

How often should air conditioning in Haslemere be serviced?

Usually once a year for homes, more often for busy business systems. Business systems may also need F-gas leak checks, at least every 12 months from 5 tonnes CO2 equivalent.

Do you offer maintenance contracts?

Yes. Maintenance contracts are part of what we do, with visits at the interval your system and the manufacturer need. Each visit is written up, with F-Gas records where refrigerant work is involved.

Can landlords and managing agents book you?

Yes. Homeowners, landlords, agents and businesses all book us across London and the South East. Tell us who should receive the paperwork.

How soon will you get back to me?

We reply to enquiries the same working day. If it’s an emergency, ring the 24/7 line instead.

Who has to arrange F-Gas leak checks?

Whoever operates the equipment, together with the technicians who service it. Systems below 5 tCO2e fall outside the set leak check intervals, while larger ones need checks at least every 12 months, or every 6 months from 50 tCO2e. We will work out which band applies to yours.

Do you have a 24/7 line?

Yes. There’s a 24/7 emergency line for breakdowns that can’t wait. Call 07833 053749 and tell us what’s happened.
