Managing agents and facilities teams in Ellisfield

We regularly work with managing agents. Send the address, what’s needed and how access works and we’ll come back with a fixed-price quote.

For anyone managing more than one building, we can quote and plan the work across all of them. Every address has its own paperwork, so the files stay tidy.

How we handle air conditioning servicing in Ellisfield

An annual service is £95–£150 + VAT, confirmed before the visit is booked. Larger systems with several indoor units, ducted units or commercial plant are priced on their details. There’s no guessing at the bill afterwards. The work covers VRF systems, ceiling cassettes and wall-mounted split systems, and people most often call us about new noises from the indoor or outdoor unit and water dripping from the indoor unit.

Around Ellisfield, outdoor units sit close to gardens and greenery, where seeds and leaves collect on the coil. A yearly service clears them.

Whatever the visit, you get a written record: commissioning details for an installation, a fault and repair note for a repair, or a record of the service. Keep it with the system’s paperwork so it’s to hand next time.

Air conditioning servicing around Ellisfield

The centre of Ellisfield lies within the Ellisfield Conservation Area. Listed buildings are part of the picture here: about 10 within half a mile of the centre, such as Manor Farmhouse (grade II*). Should a unit ever need replacing on a listed building or in a conservation area, ask us about consent first. About 38% of homes across Ellisfield and its surrounding area have been built since 2000, according to VOA council tax data, and about 70% of households live in detached or semi-detached houses, according to Census 2021 figures. If the outdoor unit is high up or behind a locked gate, mention it when you book.

Clean filters and coils help a system cool better and use less electricity. A service once a year suits most home systems, and some business systems need more.

How the visit works

Everything the job needs comes with us, from tools and test equipment to ladders and dust sheets. You only need to give us clear access to the units, or their planned positions, and to the fuse board. On site, the work takes around an hour for one indoor and one outdoor unit, with extra time for each additional indoor unit. Rural lanes and tight entrances are worth mentioning before a visit to Ellisfield.

  1. We book a time that suits you and confirm the price.
  2. We switch the system on and check it in operation.
  3. Filters, coils, fans and drains are cleaned and cleared.
  4. Electrical and refrigerant checks follow, including a leak check if the rules require one.
  5. We run the system again and leave you a service record.

Preparing for the visit

  • Arrange for someone to be there to let us in
  • Let us know if the units are on a roof, a high wall or in a locked area
  • Make sure we can reach the outdoor unit, or where it will go

What you can do yourself, and what needs us

Never try to top up, release or handle refrigerant yourself. The law requires anyone working on equipment containing F gas to hold the right qualifications, and the company to be certified, and refrigerant lines can cause cold burns. A suspected leak is our job, not yours.

For air conditioning, cleaning the indoor unit’s filters is the main job owners can do where the manufacturer’s manual explains how. With the power off, they lift out, can be vacuumed or rinsed and must be fully dry before they go back. On a heat pump, the equivalent is keeping the outdoor unit clear and checking the controls.

How we price air conditioning servicing

Our prices page gives typical ranges, but every job is priced on its own. The quote depends on:

  • Whether the existing supply is suitable
  • Whether it’s a one-off job or part of a maintenance contract
  • The type of system, from a single split to a larger system

Homes, offices, shops and public buildings are all priced the same way: the equipment, the access, the work involved and the time it takes. Call for a fixed-price quote and we will explain each part.

Asking for a quote

Good pictures often save a visit. Try to include:

  • A photo of the consumer unit with the cover closed
  • Any error code or flashing light on the display
  • Photos showing the indoor unit and the space around it

Photos are enough for some jobs; others need a visit first. Bigger systems, commercial sites and awkward pipe routes are normally surveyed on site. Either way, you get a fixed price before any work is booked.

FAQs for Ellisfield

Is Ellisfield within the area you cover?

Yes, smaller places are covered as well as towns. We’re based in East Grinstead and plan each visit so the job can be finished in one trip where possible.

Can you do air conditioning servicing in Ellisfield?

We do: Ellisfield falls inside our working area. Tell us a little about the job and we’ll take it from there.

Can I fit air conditioning or a heat pump myself?

No, not the refrigerant side. The F-gas rules require certified companies and qualified engineers for it, and a new electrical circuit is notifiable building work unless a registered competent person does it.

Can we book visits on a schedule?

Yes. Maintenance contracts are part of what we do, set at the interval the system and the manufacturer’s terms need. Each visit is recorded and F-Gas records kept where they apply.

Which manufacturers do you install and repair?

The main ones, including Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Hitachi. For new systems, we recommend a brand and model to suit the job and tell you why.

What do you check on an air conditioning service?

A full clean and check of the system. That means filters, coils and drains, plus electrical connections, controls and refrigerant performance, and F-gas leak checks where they apply.

Will I get records for the system?

Yes, always. New installations come with commissioning details, F-Gas records and warranty information, while repairs and services get a written note of what was found and done.

A customer’s words

“Excellent service from start to finish. Two wall-mounted units installed in our home. Clean, tidy work: they protected all the floors and left no mess. The systems work brilliantly. Would highly recommend.”
