Air conditioning servicing for homes and businesses in Busbridge

Servicing covers both halves of the system: the indoor units in the rooms and the outdoor unit outside. Filters and coils are cleaned, the drain is cleared, and the electrics, controls and refrigerant performance are all checked. We carry out air conditioning servicing for homes and businesses in Busbridge and the rest of Surrey, whatever the make. The work covers ceiling cassettes, VRF systems and wall-mounted split systems, and the jobs we see most are a unit showing a fault code and systems that haven’t been serviced for a while.

Several units at a home near Busbridge can be serviced in one visit.

Aftercare is simple, and most of it is in the manual: keep the outdoor unit clear, follow the manufacturer’s guidance on cleaning and book a service at the interval they recommend. It also keeps you on the right side of any warranty terms that ask for servicing.

What happens if it’s left?

If your system needs F-gas leak checks, they are not optional. Skipping a year leaves a gap in the records the rules expect you to keep, and it’s simpler to keep to the schedule. A dirty or faulty system works harder and costs more to run.

The pipe route, the height of the units and how we reach them all affect the cost. We take each of them into account and give you a fixed price before work begins.

Why us?

  • Leading brands including Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric and Fujitsu
  • One number for homes and businesses across London and the South East
  • F-Gas certified company
  • Clear warranty information from the manufacturer

See our cost guide and our accreditations and certificates.

When it’s something else

Before you book, it helps to know what’s not included:

  • A system short of gas because of a leak
  • A failed compressor, fan motor or circuit board, which needs a repair
  • Rooms that gain heat faster than any unit could cope with

If in doubt, ring 07833 053749 or send an email and we’ll say what we think.

What the work covers

  • Ceiling cassettes
  • Wall-mounted split systems
  • Ducted systems
  • VRF systems
  • Air-to-air heat pumps
  • Multi-split systems

Owner checks or an engineer?

On air conditioning, the filters in the indoor unit are normally the one part owners can clean where the manufacturer’s manual explains how. With the power off, they lift out, can be vacuumed or rinsed and must be fully dry before they go back. On a heat pump, the equivalent is keeping the outdoor unit clear and checking the controls.

Leave the units and pipework where they are. Moving a unit involves the refrigerant circuit, so it needs an F-Gas qualified engineer, and the electrical side needs a competent person. If you need something moved, we can quote for it.

Common questions in Busbridge

How often should air conditioning in Busbridge be serviced?

Once a year suits most home systems. Some manufacturers’ warranty terms ask for regular servicing, so it’s worth keeping the records.

Is Busbridge in your area for air conditioning servicing?

Yes. Busbridge is one of the places we cover. To start, give us a ring on 07833 053749 or send an email with a few photos.

What does F-Gas certified mean?

Certification shows a business is approved to work on systems that hold F gas refrigerant. That isn’t optional: it’s required by law, and we hold it.

How much time does an air con service need?

As a guide, it takes a short visit for one split system, longer for multi-split, ducted or commercial plant. Units that are hard to reach can take longer, and we will tell you in advance.

Whose job is it to check the system for leaks?

The F-gas rules share it between the equipment’s operator and the engineers who work on it. How often depends on the size of the refrigerant charge in tonnes of CO2 equivalent: at least every 12 months from 5 tCO2e, and every 6 months from 50 tCO2e.

What does an air con service involve?

We clean the filters and coils, clear the condensate drain and check the fans. We also check the electrical connections, the controls and the refrigerant performance, with an F-gas leak check where the system requires one.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes. Homeowners, landlords, agents and businesses all book us in Busbridge and across Surrey. Let us know who the records should go to.

What happens on the day

Our engineers bring the tools, gauges and access equipment the job needs. You only need to give us clear access to the units, or their planned positions, and to the fuse board. The visit takes anything from an hour for a simple split system to most of a day for a larger installation. For a place like Busbridge, the timing is set with you and the travel is our side of the planning.

  1. We book a time that suits you and confirm the price.
  2. The engineer runs the system and checks how it’s performing.
  3. We clean the filters, coils and fans and clear the condensate drain.
  4. We check the wiring, controls and refrigerant circuit, and leak check systems that need it.
  5. It’s run once more to confirm all is well, and the record is left with you.

How to prepare

  • Clear a path to the units and the space around them
  • Let us know if the building has a permit or sign-in process
  • Plan for pets to be kept clear during the visit
