Air conditioning servicing across Burcott

Leave it or put it right?

A service costs a set price and fits around your diary. A fault picks its own moment, so a planned visit is the easier option. A system that is left with a fault, or without a service, normally costs more to run.

No two properties are the same, so each one gets its own fixed-price quote. The equipment, how we reach it, the route between units and the work needed all make a difference.

Air conditioning servicing in Burcott, done properly

For an annual service, the price is £95–£150 + VAT, and we confirm the figure before we book you in. Multi-split, ducted and commercial systems are priced once we know what’s there. There’s no guessing at the bill afterwards. Common call-outs are for water dripping from the indoor unit and iced-up coils or pipework, on ceiling cassettes, multi-split systems and VRF systems.

For a home in or near Burcott, a service once a year suits most systems, ideally in spring before the warm weather.

Refrigerant work is written up in the F-Gas records: the work carried out, the refrigerant involved and the quantities. Keep the records with the manual and the warranty documents, as a manufacturer or a future engineer may ask to see them.

The process

On the day, we arrive at the time agreed with you and run through the plan before anything else. Floors and furniture near the work are covered with dust sheets, and anything electrical is made safe before work starts. The work itself takes a short visit for one split system, longer for multi-split, ducted or commercial plant. If a lane or gateway near Burcott is tight for a van, let us know and we’ll plan for it.

  1. First we take the details: brand, model if you have it, how many indoor units and anything that is been bothering you.
  2. On arrival, a quick performance check shows how well it’s working before the clean.
  3. We clean the filters and coils and make sure the condensate drains away.
  4. Electrical connections, controls and refrigerant performance are checked, with an F-gas leak check where the system requires one.
  5. A service record follows, with any faults and the options for fixing them.

How to prepare

  • Make sure we can reach the outdoor unit, or where it will go
  • Let us know where we can park and unload
  • Mention any managing agent or landlord rules we need to follow

Get a fixed-price quote

The quickest way to a quote is to send photos: the inside and outside of the property where the work is, plus the rating plate of any unit already there. Tell us the address and what you need, and simple jobs can often be priced without a visit.

Air conditioning servicing in Burcott: the local picture

At about 37 miles from central London, Burcott sits inside the area we cover across London and the South East. Burcott’s centre is no more than about a third of a mile from the Bierton Conservation Area. Church of St James, listed at grade I, is one of roughly 21 protected buildings and structures in the half-mile around Burcott’s centre. We keep it in mind in case a new outdoor unit is ever needed, as protected buildings can need consent for that.

A service once a year suits most home systems, and some business systems need more. Schools such as Bierton Church of England Combined School can book servicing for half term or the summer break, when rooms are empty.

Burcott questions

Do you cover Burcott for air conditioning servicing?

Yes. Burcott is one of the places we cover. Get in touch with the details and we reply the same working day.

Will you come out to Burcott?

We do. Villages and hamlets get the same service as the bigger towns. Visits to smaller places are planned so the engineer arrives with what the job needs.

Do you offer maintenance contracts?

Yes. Maintenance contracts are part of what we do, with visits at the interval your system and the manufacturer need. Each visit is written up, with F-Gas records where refrigerant work is involved.

Will you regas my air conditioning on a service?

Refrigerant is only added after the leak that caused the loss has been dealt with. Adding gas without a repair just lets it leak away again and that’s money wasted.

What do you check on an air conditioning service?

A clean of the parts that collect dirt and a check of the parts that do the work. Filters, coils and drains are cleaned, and the electrics, controls and refrigerant circuit checked, and F-gas leak checks where they apply.

Which brands do you work with?

The main ones, including Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Hitachi. For a new system, we suggest the make and model that suit the property and tell you why.

How soon will you get back to me?

On the same working day you contact us. Then we agree a date that works for you, and you get a fixed price before any work goes ahead.

When it’s something else

We’d rather tell you now than sell you work that will not help, so these are the things it won’t cover:

  • Poor original installation, such as drains without a proper fall
  • Cooling capacity that does not match the space
  • Heat gains the system was never sized for

Not sure which it is? You can ring us on 07833 053749 or drop us a line and we will tell you honestly.

Parts of the system we cover

  • Air-to-air heat pumps
  • Ducted systems
  • Ceiling cassettes
  • VRF systems
  • Wall-mounted split systems
  • Multi-split systems

Owner checks or an engineer?

Refrigerant is off limits for anyone without the right qualifications. Under the F-gas rules, engineers need their own qualifications and the company must be certified, and refrigerant lines can cause cold burns. If you suspect a leak, switch the system off and call us.

Leave the units and pipework where they are. Moving a unit involves the refrigerant circuit, so it needs an F-Gas qualified engineer, and the electrics need care too. Ask us to quote for a move instead.

From one of our customers

“Excellent service from start to finish. Two wall-mounted units installed in our home. Clean, tidy work: they protected all the floors and left no mess. The systems work brilliantly. Would highly recommend.”
