Air Conditioning Servicing in Brookgreen
Annual servicing and F-Gas leak checks for domestic and commercial air conditioning, for Brookgreen and the surrounding area. Ask us for a fixed-price quote; we reply the same working day.
- Smells coming from the indoor unit
- Weaker cooling than last year
- Leak check records that need bringing up to date
How it works
The visit goes in the diary at a time that works for you, and we let you know if plans need to move. On arrival, the engineer compares the job with the survey, your pictures or the details you gave us. If something is different, we talk it through with you before carrying on. After that, it takes anything from an hour for a simple split system to most of a day for a larger installation. Seeing the property in pictures first means the trip to Brookgreen can be planned properly.
- We book a time that suits you and confirm the price.
- We switch the system on and check it in operation.
- We clean the filters, coils and fans and clear the condensate drain.
- Electrical and refrigerant checks follow, including a leak check if the rules require one.
- We run the system again and leave you a service record.
Preparing for the visit
- Arrange for someone to be there to let us in
- Dig out any previous service or F-Gas records
- Make sure we can reach the consumer unit or fuse board
Getting a price
Every quote shows the VAT clearly, and the rate that applies to your job is stated. Homes, businesses and different kinds of work can be treated differently for VAT, so we confirm it in writing rather than guess. For a fixed-price quote, give us a ring on 07833 053749, or email if that’s easier.

Air conditioning servicing for homes and businesses in Brookgreen
Whether a leak check is required depends on how much refrigerant the system holds and which refrigerant it is. GOV.UK sets the frequency by the system’s tonnes of CO2 equivalent (tCO2e): at least every 12 months from 5 to under 50 tCO2e, and every 6 months from 50 to under 500 tCO2e. We tell you which band your system falls into and carry out the checks it needs. If the problem is iced-up coils or pipework and a system that struggles to cool on warm days, we can help.
In a village like Brookgreen, outdoor units often face hedges, fields or gardens, so leaves, seeds and cobwebs collect on the coil. A yearly service clears them.
Refrigerant work is written up in the F-Gas records: what was done, the refrigerant type and any amount added or recovered. Keep the records with the manual and the warranty documents, ready for the next service or a warranty query.

Common problems we fix in Brookgreen
Electrical terminals can work loose as the system heats, cools and vibrates. A loose connection can cause faults that come and go which is why they’re checked on every service.
Most people get in touch after spotting one of these:
- Water dripping from the indoor unit
- Error codes or flashing lights on the indoor unit
- An unpleasant odour when the system runs
A musty smell from the indoor unit is often a sign it needs a service.

Air conditioning servicing in Brookgreen: the local picture
Brookgreen lies within about 1 mile of the sea. A yearly service matters more near the coast, where salt speeds up corrosion on coils and fixings. Central Brookgreen is inside a conservation area. Historic England lists about 6 buildings and structures within half a mile of the centre of Brookgreen, including Hanover House (grade II). If a repair turns into a replacement on a listed building or in a conservation area, we check the planning position before changing the outdoor unit. About 35% of homes in and around Brookgreen were built before 1919, according to the Valuation Office Agency’s council tax figures, and Census 2021 figures found about 87% of households in detached or semi-detached houses. If the outdoor unit is high up or behind a locked gate, mention it when you book.
Booking before the first hot spell means the system is ready when you need it.

Common questions in Brookgreen
Do you cover smaller places like Brookgreen?
Yes, smaller places are covered as well as towns. A few pictures and the postcode are enough to get things started.
How often do you service systems in Brookgreen?
A yearly visit is right for most households. Business systems may also need F-gas leak checks, at least every 12 months from 5 tonnes CO2 equivalent.
How quickly will you reply?
We reply to enquiries the same working day. If it’s an emergency, ring the 24/7 line instead.
Whose job is it to check the system for leaks?
The F-gas rules share it between the equipment’s operator and the engineers who work on it. How often depends on the size of the refrigerant charge in tonnes of CO2 equivalent: at least yearly for 5 to under 50 tCO2e, and every 6 months for 50 to under 500 tCO2e.
How much time does an air con service need?
It takes a short visit for one split system, longer for multi-split, ducted or commercial plant. Access and the number of units decide most of the time so we’ll confirm the time when we book.
Why use an F-Gas certified company?
Companies working on equipment that contains F gas must be certified by an approved body, and each engineer needs the right qualifications too. It’s how you know the refrigerant is being handled legally and safely.
Can I do the refrigerant work myself?
The refrigerant side has to be done by a qualified engineer working for an F-Gas certified company. That’s the law, not just our preference, and it also matters for the manufacturer’s warranty. We’re happy to quote for the full job, supply to commissioning.
Before you call an engineer
Owner care supports servicing; it doesn’t replace it. Simple care keeps the air moving through the system, but the inside of the units, the refrigerant and the electrics still need a qualified engineer.
There are a few things you can safely do yourself: keeping the outdoor unit clear, checking the mode and set temperature, and the routine cleaning in the manual. Opening up the units, the electrics and the refrigerant circuit are a job for us.
From one of our customers
“Excellent service from start to finish. Two wall-mounted units installed in our home. Clean, tidy work: they protected all the floors and left no mess. The systems work brilliantly. Would highly recommend.”
