Air conditioning servicing in Alderholt, Hampshire
Air conditioning servicing for Alderholt, from F-Gas certified engineers, with the manufacturer’s warranty terms explained on your quote. We reply to enquiries the same working day.
- A system that struggles to cool on warm days
- Error codes or flashing lights on the indoor unit
- Smells coming from the indoor unit
How we handle air conditioning servicing in Alderholt
A service is as much a check-up as a clean. The engineer checks fans, pipe insulation, controls and electrical connections, and tells you about anything that looks like it’s heading for trouble. We’re often asked to deal with ice forming on the pipework or outdoor unit and smells coming from the indoor unit, on ceiling cassettes, ducted systems and air-to-air heat pumps.
A service around Alderholt is booked to suit you, and a single system usually takes an hour or two.
If a fault appears while the equipment is under the manufacturer’s warranty, tell us the make, model and installation date. We will explain how the manufacturer’s terms are likely to apply before any chargeable work goes ahead.

How we price air conditioning servicing
Before we fix a price, we need to know a few things. We check:
- Whether it’s a one-off job or part of a maintenance contract
- How far the pipework has to run, and where
- The size of the job
What you pay reflects the actual work. That’s why we look at the job first, from photos or on a survey, and why the quote is fixed before we start.
Before you get in touch
To help us quote quickly, please include:
- The fuse board and where it is in the property
- The rating plate or label on any existing unit
- The outdoor side of the property, including any roof or flat area
Photos are the fastest route to a quote: the inside and outside of the property where the work is, plus the rating plate of any unit already there. Add the address and what you’d like done, and simple jobs can often be priced without a visit.
Your questions about air conditioning servicing in Alderholt
Does my air con in Alderholt need a yearly service?
For most homes, once a year. Business systems may also need F-gas leak checks, at least every 12 months from 5 tonnes CO2 equivalent.
Do you cover Alderholt for air conditioning servicing?
Yes. We work across London and the South East from our base in East Grinstead, and Alderholt is part of that. Just give us a ring on 07833 053749 or use the quote form with a few details.
Do you survey before quoting?
Yes, always. We diagnose before we treat: the survey shows what’s needed, where things go and what access we need, and the quote is based on that.
Do you offer emergency call-outs?
Yes. For anything urgent, such as a system failing in a server room or water leaking from a unit, ring our 24/7 line and we will agree what happens next.
Do you provide F-Gas records?
Yes, on every job. A new system comes with commissioning details, F-Gas records and the manufacturer’s warranty information, while repairs and services get a written note of what was found and done.
Why does F-Gas certification matter?
Companies working on equipment that contains F gas must be certified by an approved body, and each engineer needs the right qualifications too. It’s how you know the refrigerant is being handled legally and safely.
What do you check on an air conditioning service?
The service covers the indoor units and the outdoor unit: filters, coils, drains and fans, then the electrics, the controls and how the refrigerant circuit is performing. You get a record of the visit.
What we do, step by step
The visit goes in the diary at a time that works for you, and we keep you posted if anything changes. When we arrive, we check the job against the survey or the photos you sent. If something is different, we talk it through with you before carrying on. After that, it takes anything from an hour for a simple split system to most of a day for a larger installation. Getting to the outside of the property matters more than parking in a place like Alderholt.
- We ask about the system: the make, the number of indoor units and any problems you’ve noticed.
- On arrival, a quick performance check shows how well it’s working before the clean.
- Filters are cleaned, coils treated and the drain tray and pipe cleared.
- Electrical connections, controls and refrigerant performance are checked, with an F-gas leak check where the system requires one.
- Before leaving, the engineer writes up the visit and talks you through anything worth knowing.
Getting ready for the visit
- Dig out any previous service or F-Gas records
- Unlock any gate, garage or side passage we need
- Arrange for someone to be there to let us in
Ask for a quote
Some jobs can be priced from photos, while others need a survey. Bigger systems, commercial sites and awkward pipe routes are normally surveyed on site. Either way, the quote is fixed before anything goes ahead.

What air conditioning will not do

- Major component failures that call for a repair visit
- A system short of gas because of a leak

A customer’s words
“Excellent service from start to finish. Two wall-mounted units installed in our home. Clean, tidy work: they protected all the floors and left no mess. The systems work brilliantly. Would highly recommend.”
