Air conditioning repair in Wendover Dean, done properly
Any repair we carry out in Wendover Dean starts the same way: the engineer reads the fault codes and checks the electrics, the airflow, the condensate drain and the refrigerant pressures and temperatures. Then we explain what’s wrong and give you a fixed price to put it right. If the problem is a suspected refrigerant leak and new noises from the system, we can sort it out.
A visit to Wendover Dean is planned so we can usually finish in one go, unless a part has to come from the manufacturer.
Equipment warranty comes from the manufacturer, on its own terms, and we set them out on your quote. Each brand sets its own conditions, and we’re happy to talk you through them.

Signs you need air conditioning repair in Wendover Dean
When ice forms on the pipes or coil, something else is wrong. It normally points to poor airflow, such as a clogged filter or a fan problem, or to a refrigerant leak. Turn it off and let the ice melt, then call us.
If any of these sounds familiar, it’s worth a diagnosis:
- A unit that barely blows any air
- Water dripping from the indoor unit
- A suspected refrigerant leak
The make, model and error code are the most useful things to tell us.
What your quote should include
- How extra work would be agreed if they find something unexpected
- If the quote is based on a survey, photos or a diagnosis
- Whose warranty applies, and on what terms

How the visit works
Everything the job needs comes with us, from tools and test equipment to ladders and dust sheets. You only need to give us clear access to the units, or their planned positions, and to the fuse board. The visit takes as long as the fault needs, from a quick fix to a return visit for parts. For a village like Wendover Dean, tell us about narrow lanes, gates and parking when you book.
- First the diagnosis: fault codes read, electrics and airflow checked, drain and refrigerant tested.
- Next, a plain explanation and a fixed price.
- If the repair is not worth doing, we say so and explain the options.
- Treat: carry out the repair, sealing any leak before refrigerant goes back in.
- Sign off: prove it works and record the visit.
Before we arrive
- Unlock any gate, garage or side passage we need
- Make sure we can reach the consumer unit or fuse board
- Mention any roof access, ladders or high-level work

Every quote starts with a look at the job, from a site survey or, where the job is straightforward, from photos and measurements. After that, we send a fixed price before any work starts.

System by system
Condensate drains and pumps
The drain is cleared, the pump tested and the fall checked, so the water goes where it should. If a pump has failed, we replace it and tested before we go.
Ducted and cassette systems
Water through a ceiling below a cassette or ducted unit needs prompt attention. A failed pump, a blocked drain or an overflowing tray is typically behind it and the diagnosis covers each of them.
What a repair looks like in Wendover Dean
About 42% of homes across Wendover Dean and its surrounding area date from 1945 to 1972, according to the Valuation Office Agency’s council tax figures, and about 69% of households live in detached or semi-detached houses, according to the last census (2021). If the outdoor unit is high up or behind a locked gate, mention it when you book. About 9 listed entries lie within half a mile of central Wendover Dean, Manor Farmhouse (grade II) among them. Swapping an outdoor unit on a listed building or in a conservation area may need consent, so we will flag it if a replacement is needed.

Will you come out to Wendover Dean?
Yes, smaller places are covered as well as towns. Send a few details and pictures, and we reply the same working day.
Which manufacturers do you install and repair?
The main ones, including Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Hitachi. For new systems, we recommend a brand and model to suit the job and explain why.
How does the warranty work?
The manufacturer’s warranty, on the manufacturer’s terms. Each brand sets its own conditions and periods, so we explain them on your quote.
Which accreditations do you hold?
We’re an F-Gas certified company, NICEIC approved for electrical work and MCS certified for heat pumps. We’re members of Checkatrade too.
Is there a survey before the work?
Yes. For simple jobs, photos and a few details can be enough, while bigger systems and repairs that need testing get a visit.
Whose job is it to check the system for leaks?
The F-gas rules share it between the equipment’s operator and the engineers who work on it. How often depends on the size of the refrigerant charge in tonnes of CO2 equivalent: at least yearly for 5 to under 50 tCO2e, and every 6 months for 50 to under 500 tCO2e.
