Air conditioning repair across Maidstone

Questions from Maidstone

Is Maidstone in your area for air conditioning repair?

Yes. We work across London and the South East from our base in East Grinstead, and Maidstone is part of that. Just call us on 07833 053749 with a few details.

Do you cover Maidstone for emergency air conditioning repairs?

The emergency line is open around the clock, and Maidstone is one of the places it covers. A diagnosis call-out starts from £75 + VAT, and knowing the brand and the symptoms helps us plan it.

When will I hear back?

We reply to enquiries the same working day. If it’s an emergency, ring the 24/7 line instead.

Can you repair an R22 air conditioning system?

R22 is an ozone-depleting refrigerant, and new R22 can’t be used for servicing. A fault that doesn’t involve the refrigerant may still be repairable, depending on parts, but a leak usually makes replacement the sensible route. We explain the options and quote for a new system if that’s the answer.

Whose job is it to check the system for leaks?

Whoever operates the equipment, together with the technicians who service it. Systems below 5 tCO2e fall outside the set leak check intervals, while larger ones need checks at least every 12 months, or every 6 months from 50 tCO2e. We can tell you which band your system falls into.

Do you work on commercial properties?

Yes. Homeowners, landlords, agents and businesses all book us in Maidstone and across Kent. Tell us who should receive the paperwork.

Will you work on another installer’s system?

Yes. We work on systems fitted by other installers as well as our own, on all the main brands. Tell us the make and model and send any paperwork you have.

Air conditioning repair in Maidstone, done properly

Older systems raise a fair question: repair or replace?. A fan fault on an older unit can be worth fixing, while a compressor failure may tip the balance. We look at the fault, the parts, the refrigerant and how well the system suits the room, then give you an honest view. If the problem is a system that runs but doesn’t cool the room and drips from the indoor unit, we can sort it out.

We repair the major brands of air conditioning around Maidstone, from single wall units to multi-split systems. Where an old unit is not worth repairing, you’ll get an honest view and a price for replacing it.

Some manufacturers make regular servicing by a qualified engineer a condition of their warranty. If that applies to your system, booking the service on time keeps the record straight, and every service is written up.

What air conditioning repair cannot fix

Not every problem is solved by air conditioning repair, and we’d rather say so up front. It won’t put right:

  • A supply fault outside the property
  • A unit whose parts are no longer made (replacement may be the only option)
  • Heat gains the system was never designed for

If you are not sure, just ring 07833 053749 or send an email and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.

What the work covers

  • Wall-mounted split systems
  • Ceiling cassettes
  • Ducted systems
  • VRF systems
  • Multi-split systems
  • Heat pumps

What you can do yourself, and what needs us

Don’t move, re-route or disconnect units or pipework yourself. Moving a unit involves the refrigerant circuit, so it needs an F-Gas qualified engineer, and the electrics need care too. Ask us to quote for a move instead.

Refrigerant is off limits for anyone without the right qualifications. The law requires anyone working on equipment containing F gas to hold the right qualifications, and the company to be certified, and refrigerant lines can cause cold burns. A suspected leak is our job, not yours.

The process

On the day, we arrive at the time agreed with you and run through the plan before anything else. Floors and furniture near the work are covered with dust sheets, and the electrics are made safe before any panel comes off. On site, it takes anything from an hour or so to a full day, depending on the fault and the parts. Send pictures of the space and where the outdoor unit could go, and we can plan the work in Maidstone.

  1. You describe the fault, the make and any error code, ideally with a photo.
  2. On the diagnosis visit, the engineer tests the system rather than guessing.
  3. You get a plain explanation of the fault and a fixed price for putting it right.
  4. The repair is carried out, and any refrigerant work is leak tested and recorded.
  5. The system is run and checked in every mode, and we tell you about anything else we noticed.

Preparing for the visit

  • Make sure someone can let us in at the agreed time
  • Dig out any previous service or F-Gas records
  • Let us know if the building has a permit or sign-in process

Leave it or put it right?

Waiting for hot weather to see whether a fault sorts itself out rarely works. A fault ignored in spring is still there in summer and it’s easier to deal with before you depend on it. It’s easier to plan the job in Maidstone in spring than in the middle of a heatwave.

Every job is different, so each one gets its own fixed-price quote. The equipment, how we reach it, the route between units and the work needed all play a part.

Why us?

  • Emergency calls taken 24/7
  • An F-Gas certified company, as the law requires
  • MCS certification for heat pump work
  • Diagnosis first, then a fixed price

From one of our customers

“Office air con broke down in the July heatwave. Called at 8am, engineer was here by noon and fixed within 2 hours. Brilliant emergency response. They now hold the service contract for the whole building.”
