Air conditioning repair in Langley, Kent
Air conditioning repair, in Langley and nearby. Call for a fixed-price quote, and we will reply the same working day.
- A system that won’t switch on
- A system that needs topping up again
- Water leaking from the unit or through the ceiling
Keeping the system healthy
Aftercare is straightforward, and it helps at the next service:
- Leave a tripping breaker off and call us
- Stop the unit if water is coming through a ceiling
- Keep to the service interval the manufacturer recommends
The repair is written up: what was wrong, what was replaced and any refrigerant work. Any refrigerant work is recorded in the F-Gas records and it belongs with the system’s paperwork.
Use the system sensibly. Choose the right mode and a moderate set temperature, and keep doors and windows closed while it runs, so it isn’t running flat out all day.
How we handle air conditioning repair in Langley
Any repair we carry out in Langley starts the same way: fault codes, electrics, airflow, drain and refrigerant are all checked. Then we explain what’s wrong and give you a fixed price to put it right. Typical jobs include water leaking from the unit or through the ceiling and a unit that barely blows any air, across VRF systems, wall-mounted split systems and ducted systems.
Outdoor units in a place like Langley can be near hedges and fields, and a coil clogged with leaves or seeds is a common cause of weak cooling.
Some manufacturers make regular servicing by a qualified engineer a condition of their warranty. If that applies to your system, booking the service on time keeps the record straight, and every service is written up.

What the work involves, system by system
Refrigerant leaks
A low refrigerant charge always means a leak. We find it, repair it, pressure test the circuit, evacuate it and recharge to the manufacturer’s charge and every step is recorded.
Ducted and cassette systems
Ducted units and cassettes sit above the ceiling and access is part of the job. Condensate pumps are common on both, and a failed pump is a frequent cause of water leaks.
Air conditioning repair around Langley
Church of St Mary, listed at grade II*, is one of roughly 13 protected buildings and structures in the half-mile around Langley’s centre. We keep it in mind in case a new outdoor unit is ever needed, as protected buildings can need consent for that. About 47% of homes in and around Langley have been built since 2000, according to Valuation Office Agency council tax records, and the 2021 Census found about 72% of households in detached or semi-detached houses. Wall bracket, ground pad or flat roof: knowing where the outdoor unit is saves time on the day.
When cooling fails at a school like Langley Park Primary Academy, we can time non-urgent repair work around lessons. If the display shows a code, write it down: it helps narrow down the fault.

How the visit works
Refrigerant work is done by qualified engineers working for an F-Gas certified company, and electrical work is done by us as NICEIC approved contractors. On the day, both are in the same hands. On site, it takes as long as the fault needs, from a quick fix to a return visit for parts. We plan the trip to Langley around you.
- First the diagnosis: fault codes read, electrics and airflow checked, drain and refrigerant tested.
- Then the prescription: what’s wrong and what it will cost to put right.
- Where a repair does not make sense, you’ll hear it from us, with the alternatives.
- Then the fix, with leaks repaired before any refrigerant is added.
- The sign-off: the system tested in operation and the work recorded.
Preparing for the visit
- Clear a path to the units and the space around them
- Dig out any previous service or F-Gas records
- Let us know where we can park and unload
Getting a quote
Published ranges are a starting point; the quote is built on your property, because no two buildings, rooms or systems are the same. After a look at the job, by pictures or a survey, the price is fixed. To get going, phone 07833 053749 or use the quote form.

When it’s something else
Some problems need a different service or another trade:
- A unit that was never big enough for the room
- A discontinued model with no parts available
- A refrigerant fault on an R22 system (new R22 cannot be used for servicing, so replacement is usually the answer)
If you’re not sure, just call us on 07833 053749 or send an email and we will give you a straight answer.

What else we do in Langley
Langley: your questions answered
Is Langley in your area for air conditioning repair?
We do: Langley falls inside our working area. To start, ring 07833 053749 with a few pictures.
Is Langley within the area you cover?
Yes, smaller places are covered as well as towns. We are based in East Grinstead and plan each visit so the job can be finished in one trip where possible.
Do you survey before quoting?
Yes, always. Diagnosis comes before treatment: the survey shows what’s needed, where things go and what access we need and the fixed price is built on it.
Can you look at a system you didn’t fit?
Yes. Systems fitted by other companies are fine, on all the main brands. Send us the make and model, and any records you have.
What causes water to leak from an air conditioning unit?
Most leaks come from a blocked drain, a failed pump or a unit that has dropped out of level. Ice that forms on the coil and melts can cause drips too. Turn it off and ring us on 07833 053749 or send an email.
Can I do any of the installation myself?
Not the refrigerant work. Under the F-gas rules, it must be done by qualified engineers from a certified company, and a new electrical circuit is notifiable building work unless a registered competent person does it.
My system uses R22. Can it be repaired?
Servicing with new R22 is not allowed, because it depletes the ozone layer. Some non-refrigerant faults can be repaired if parts are available, but a refrigerant leak typically means replacement. We explain the options and quote for a new system if that is the answer.
From one of our customers
“Excellent service from start to finish. Two wall-mounted units installed in our home. Clean, tidy work: they protected all the floors and left no mess. The systems work brilliantly. Would highly recommend.”
