Air conditioning repair in Hempstead
Diagnosis call-outs start from £75 + VAT. When the cause is found, the repair is priced before anything else is done, so you can decide with the facts in front of you. The work covers heat pumps, ducted systems and multi-split systems, and common reasons people get in touch are air conditioning running but not cooling and weak airflow from the indoor unit.
In a place like Hempstead, outdoor units can be close to hedges and gardens, where leaves and cuttings can clog the coil and cut the cooling. That is one of the first things we check.
We’re an F-Gas certified company, NICEIC approved for electrical work, MCS certified for heat pumps and a Checkatrade member. Refrigerant work is done by engineers who hold the F-gas qualifications the law requires.

Honest limits
An honest diagnosis matters more to us than a booking, so here’s what this work can’t put right:
- No power to the building at all
- A room that overheats because of the building, such as a lack of shading or ventilation (the system may need help, not a repair)
- A leak on an old R22 system
Not sure which it is? You can call 07833 053749 or drop us a line and we will tell you honestly before booking.

How it works
Every visit follows the same order: agree the plan on site, put the dust sheets down, do the work, test what we have done and talk you through it. On site, the work takes as long as the fault needs, from a quick fix to a return visit for parts. Tell us about any gates or steps at your property near Hempstead when you book.
- First the diagnosis: fault codes read, electrics and airflow checked, drain and refrigerant tested.
- Prescribe: tell you the cause and the fixed cost of the cure.
- Where a repair does not make sense, you will hear it from us, with the alternatives.
- The treatment: the repair itself, with any leak found and fixed before recharging.
- Sign off: prove it works and record the visit.
Getting ready for the visit
- Mention any parking restrictions near the property
- Clear a path to the units and the space around them
- Make sure we can reach the outdoor unit, or where it will go

FAQs for Hempstead
Does sea air affect air conditioning in Hempstead?
It can, as Hempstead is within about 3 miles of the sea, where salt in the air is hard on coils and fixings. We look for corroded coils, fixings and connections on coastal repairs.
Is Hempstead within the area you cover?
We do. Villages and hamlets get the same service as the bigger towns. A few pictures and the postcode are enough to get things started.
How quickly will you reply?
On the same working day you contact us. Then we agree a date that works for you, and you get a fixed price before any work goes ahead.
Do I get paperwork after the visit?
Yes, on every job. A new system comes with commissioning details, F-Gas records and the manufacturer’s warranty information, while repairs and services get a written note of what was found and done.
Why isn’t my air con cooling?
It could be a dirty filter, the wrong settings, a blocked outdoor unit, a sensor or board fault, or a refrigerant leak. Check the filter and the settings first, and if that does not fix it, ring us on 07833 053749 or fill in the contact form.
Do you have a 24/7 line for breakdowns?
Yes, 24/7. Urgent cases include water leaking through a ceiling or a server or comms room overheating, and we will advise on what to do right away. The number is 07833 053749.
What accreditations do you have?
We’re an F-Gas certified company, with NICEIC approval for electrical work and MCS certification for heat pumps. We are members of Checkatrade too.

Air conditioning repair in Hempstead: the local picture
The coast is only about 3 miles from Hempstead. Corroded fins, fixings and electrical connections on outdoor units are more common near the sea, and they can cause faults. The last census (2021) found about 85% of households in detached or semi-detached houses. Let us know where the outdoor unit sits and whether a ladder is needed to reach it.
When cooling fails at a school like Hempstead Infant School, we can time non-urgent repair work around lessons. If the display shows a code, write it down: it helps narrow down the fault.

For landlords and property managers
Larger air conditioning systems in buildings need more than servicing: systems with an effective rated output over 12 kW need a TM44 inspection by an accredited energy assessor at least every 5 years. We arrange the inspection, get the system ready and put right anything it picks up.
Portfolio owners often want one contractor and one number. Our area covers Greater London and the South East, so work at different addresses can be planned together and kept to a regular schedule.
Leave it or put it right?
If the system may still be under the manufacturer’s warranty, report the fault early. Send us the make, model and installation date, and we will explain how the manufacturer’s warranty is likely to apply before any chargeable work. Small faults tend to grow, so it’s worth dealing with them early.
Putting several jobs into one visit can make for a more efficient booking. Tell us about everything you’d like looked at and we will price it together.
