Air conditioning repair in Felbridge
Wondering whether the fault is something simple? A quick check of the filter, settings and remote can rule out the simple causes, and if that does not fix it, give us a ring on 07833 053749 or send an email. We reply to enquiries the same working day. If you are dealing with new noises from the system and a system that needs topping up again, we can sort it out.
Around Felbridge, repairs tend to be home systems, garden rooms and a few businesses. Describe the fault and send a photo of the unit’s label so we can plan the visit.
Each manufacturer sets its own warranty period. Daikin, for example, gives a standard 2 years on split air conditioning, with longer extensions only on its air-to-water heat pumps. For any other brand, we explain the manufacturer’s terms on your quote.

Owner checks or an engineer?
There are a few things you can safely do yourself: keeping the outdoor unit clear, checking the mode and set temperature, and the routine cleaning in the manual. Opening up the units, the electrics and the refrigerant circuit are a job for us.
Before you call us about a fault, a few checks can save a visit: is the system in the right mode, is the set temperature sensible, are the remote’s batteries working and has the breaker tripped. If the breaker trips a second time, leave it off and phone 07833 053749.
How it works
We keep the work area tidy as we go, with sheets down and mess cleared as we go. If we need to drill through a wall, we agree the spot with you first. On site, it takes anything from an hour or so to a full day, depending on the fault and the parts. Somewhere like Felbridge, it helps to know about lanes, gates and where to park.
- Diagnosis comes first: codes, electrics, airflow, drain and refrigerant.
- Next, a plain explanation and a fixed price.
- If the repair is not worth doing, we say so and explain the options.
- Then the fix, with leaks repaired before any refrigerant is added.
- Sign off: prove it works and record the visit.
Getting ready for the visit
- Tell us about parking and loading
- Make sure we can reach the consumer unit or fuse board
- Move furniture away from the wall where we’ll be working

Air conditioning repair in Felbridge: the local picture
About 52% of homes in the Felbridge area date from 1945 to 1972, according to VOA council tax data, and the last census (2021) found about 78% of households in detached or semi-detached houses. If the outdoor unit is high up or behind a locked gate, mention it when you book. On the National Heritage List, around 3 entries fall within 0.5 miles of the middle of Felbridge; Park Farm House (grade II) is one. If a repair turns into a replacement on a listed building or in a conservation area, we check the planning position before changing the outdoor unit.
If the display shows a code, write it down: it helps narrow down the fault. Schools such as Felbridge Primary School can report a fault on the 24/7 line and have non-urgent work done out of term.

What air conditioning won’t do
Air conditioning repair can’t fix everything, and we’d rather say so up front. It won’t put right:
- Heat gains the system was never designed for
- An old system with obsolete parts
- No power to the building at all
