Commercial air conditioning for homes and businesses in Oakgrove

Commercial air conditioning is a big part of what we do, for businesses in Oakgrove and the rest of Milton Keynes. That includes offices, shops, restaurants, hotels, schools and server rooms and we choose the system to suit the space and the way it’s used. If the problem is comms rooms without enough cooling and new tenancies needing cooling and heating, we can help.

For a business near Oakgrove, there’s usually space for plant at the rear, which keeps them tidy and easy to reach.

Some manufacturers make regular servicing by a qualified engineer a condition of their warranty. If that applies to your system, booking the service on time keeps the record straight, and every service is written up.

Rented and managed buildings

We work for landlords, letting agents and managing agents as well as homeowners and businesses. Let us know who will give us access and who the records should go to, and we’ll keep everyone informed.

Records are where property maintenance often slips. Each visit produces a dated record, plus the F-Gas records where refrigerant is involved, so you can show what was done and when.

The process

If the system has to be off for part of the visit, we tell you before any work starts so it doesn’t catch you out. In a business, work can often be done one area at a time. On site, it takes a few days for a small shop or office, longer for VRF across several floors. Getting to the outside of the property matters more than parking in a place like Oakgrove.

  1. We visit the site to look at the building, how it’s used and what the system needs to do.
  2. You get a fixed-price quote with the equipment, the layout and the programme set out.
  3. We agree a programme that suits the site, including evening, weekend or phased installation.
  4. The system goes in, from units and pipework to drainage, wiring and controls.
  5. We commission the system, record the refrigerant details and hand over the controls and documents.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Plan for pets to be kept clear during the visit
  • Give us access to the outside wall, roof or yard where the outdoor unit sits
  • Tell us about parking and loading

Get a fixed-price quote

Photos are the fastest route to a quote: the inside and outside of the property where the work is, plus the rating plate of any unit already there. Add the address and what you’d like done, and simple jobs can often be priced without a visit.

Before you call an engineer

There are a few things you can safely do yourself: keeping the outdoor unit clear, checking the mode and set temperature, and the routine cleaning in the manual. Opening up the units, the electrics and the refrigerant circuit are a job for us.

Refrigerant is off limits for anyone without the right qualifications. The law requires anyone working on equipment containing F gas to hold the right qualifications, and the company to be certified, and escaping refrigerant can cause cold burns. If you suspect a leak, switch the system off and call us.

Your questions about commercial air conditioning in Oakgrove

Will you come out to Oakgrove?

Yes. Oakgrove is within the area we cover across London and the South East. Visits to smaller places are planned so the engineer arrives with what the job needs.

Is Oakgrove in your area for commercial air conditioning?

Yes. We work across London and the South East from our base in East Grinstead, and Oakgrove is part of that. Tell us a little about the job and we will take it from there.

Do you work on all makes?

The main ones, including Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Hitachi. For new systems, we recommend a brand and model to suit the job and tell you why.

Can you look after our air conditioning after it’s installed?

We do. A contract keeps the system serviced and any required leak checks on schedule, with records kept for each visit.

Do you provide F-Gas records?

Yes, on every job. A new system comes with commissioning details, F-Gas records and the manufacturer’s warranty information, while repairs and services get a written note of what was found and done.

Does my building need a TM44 inspection?

Over 12 kW, a TM44 inspection is needed at least every 5 years. The rules are set out on GOV.UK and we’ll help with the system side.

What F-gas duties does a business have?

Operators of systems from 5 tCO2e upwards need leak checks and records. The intervals are at least yearly from 5 to under 50 tCO2e, and 6-monthly from 50 to under 500 tCO2e and we carry out the checks and keep the records.

When it’s something else

We will always give you a straight diagnosis, so here’s what this work can’t put right:

  • Issuing TM44 reports
  • Fire risk assessments
  • Boiler installation or repair

Not sure which it is? You can call 07833 053749 or use the quote form and we will tell you honestly.

Where we work

  • Ducted systems
  • Server and comms room cooling
  • Wall-mounted split systems
  • VRF systems
  • Multi-split systems
  • Ceiling cassettes
