How we handle commercial air conditioning in Farnborough
The business that operates the system has F-gas responsibilities. Leak checks and records are required for systems from 5 tCO2e upwards. We carry out the checks, keep the records and tell you when the next one is due. If the problem is ageing air conditioning that keeps breaking down and missing F-gas records for commercial systems, we can help.
In a town like Farnborough, commercial air conditioning typically means shops, offices, restaurants, surgeries and salons. Cassette units in the ceiling suit open spaces, and wall-mounted or ducted units suit smaller rooms.
We are an F-Gas certified company, NICEIC approved for electrical work, with MCS certification for heat pumps and Checkatrade membership. Refrigerant work is done by engineers who hold the F-gas qualifications the law requires.

What the work involves, system by system
Ducted systems
One ducted unit can serve more than one area where the layout allows.
Offices
Office cooling has to cope with people, computers, lighting and sunshine. The system is sized for what the space really needs and choose units that suit the ceiling and layout.
When it’s something else
To be straight with you, there are a few things this work will not fix:
- Issuing TM44 reports
- Getting landlord or building owner approval
- Structural alterations to the building
If you’re not sure, just phone 07833 053749 or fill in the contact form and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.

Why it’s worth doing now in Farnborough
F-gas leak checks and records are legal duties for most systems at or above 5 tCO2e. Missing checks leaves gaps in the records and a maintenance contract keeps them on track. Booking in spring means a home in Farnborough is ready for summer.
What you pay depends on the system and the number of rooms or units, how easy the units are to reach and the parts and time the job needs. You get a fixed price before work begins, so there are no surprises.

How it works
Where something has to be switched off during the work, we agree it with you first, so you can plan around it. For businesses, we can usually work room by room or zone by zone. On site, it takes from a couple of days for a few cassettes to a planned programme for a whole building. A visit in Farnborough is booked for a time that suits you.
- An engineer walks the building with you to understand its layout, its users and its heat sources.
- You get a fixed-price quote with the equipment, the layout and the programme set out.
- Dates are set with you so trading, teaching or treatment carries on, using evenings, weekends or phases where it helps.
- On site, the team mounts the plant, runs and proves the pipework, and wires the controls.
- Commissioning, F-gas records and a handover of the controls finish the job.
How to prepare
- Tell us about any building rules, permits or sign-in
- Let us know if the units are on a roof, a high wall or in a locked area
- Have the make and model of any existing unit to hand

Advice
Farnborough questions
Can I get a fixed-price quote for commercial air conditioning in Farnborough?
Use the quote form, or email, with a description of the job. We reply the same working day, and the quote is fixed before any work starts.
Can I fit air conditioning in Farnborough without planning permission?
That depends on the building and where the outdoor unit goes. The centre of Farnborough is in a conservation area. An air-to-air system used for heating as well as cooling can be permitted development on a house if it meets the conditions, but a cooling-only unit isn’t covered, listed buildings need consent and conservation areas restrict outdoor units facing a road. Where needed, we check with Rushmoor council, which is usually the planning authority for Farnborough.
Do I need to service the system to keep the warranty?
Each manufacturer decides. Where servicing is a condition, a missed service could give the manufacturer grounds to refuse a claim, so we explain the terms on your quote.
Can you work around our opening hours?
We can. Work can be scheduled around your hours, including phased work floor by floor.
Can I do any of the installation myself?
Not the refrigerant work. Under the F-gas rules, it must be done by qualified engineers from a certified company, and a new electrical circuit is notifiable building work unless a registered competent person does it.
What does the operator have to do under the F-gas rules?
The operator and the service technicians share responsibility. The operator needs to arrange leak checks and keep records where the system requires them, and we provide both.
Can you come out in an emergency?
Yes. If something urgent happens, like water coming from a unit or a critical room overheating, call our 24/7 line and we will tell you what to do first.
A customer’s words
“Office air con broke down in the July heatwave. Called at 8am, engineer was here by noon and fixed within 2 hours. Brilliant emergency response. They now hold the service contract for the whole building.”
