Commercial air conditioning for homes and businesses in Albourne
Most businesses need to keep trading while the work is done. We plan out-of-hours, weekend and phased installs so disruption is kept down. The timing is set out with your quote. Common call-outs are for F-gas leak checks and records that are overdue and comms rooms without enough cooling, on server and comms room cooling, multi-split systems and ceiling cassettes.
If you run a village hall or similar building near Albourne, heating and cooling that warms up fast suits a space used on and off, and it can heat as well as cool.
Equipment warranty comes from the manufacturer, on its own terms, and we set them out on your quote. Terms differ from brand to brand, and we are happy to talk you through them.

Heritage protection changes what an install can involve, so the survey looks at your address first and tells you plainly whether consent is likely.

How it works
The visit has three parts, a bit like a doctor’s appointment: look, put right and sign off. First we check the system or the space against the plan, then the work itself, and finally everything is tested, recorded and explained. The middle part takes longest, which takes as long as the site and the system need, from a short install to a phased project planned around opening hours. Somewhere like Albourne, it helps to know about lanes, gates and where to park.
- We start with the details of the building and the problem.
- We survey the site to check heat gains, layout and access.
- We set out the options, the price and the programme.
- Installation goes ahead around the business.
- We commission it, hand it over and can set up a maintenance contract.
Before we arrive
- Dig out any previous service or F-Gas records
- Clear a path to the units and the space around them
- Keep pets out of the rooms we’re working in

Signs you need commercial air conditioning in Albourne
A TM44 report, an F-gas audit or an insurer’s question can prompt the call. We carry out the work and make sure the paperwork is in order, so you can show what’s been done.
The things we are asked about most are:
- Planning ahead for the HFC phase-down
- Staff complaining about the temperature
- Buildings that can’t close for the work
For a church or hall like The Parish Church of St Bartholomew, any outdoor unit needs the right consents first.
What your quote should include
- Proof of F-Gas company certification
- What happens if the job turns out to be different on the day
- Who does the electrical work, and whether they can certify it
What air conditioning will not do
Not every problem is solved by commercial air conditioning, and we’d rather say so up front. It will not put right:
- Fire safety design or fire risk assessments
- Acting as the energy assessor
- Boiler installation or repair
Not sure which it is? You can call us on 07833 053749 or email us and we will tell you honestly before you book.

Albourne: your questions answered
Do you cover Albourne for commercial air conditioning?
Yes. Albourne is one of the places we cover. Get in touch with the details and we reply the same working day.
Will you come out to Albourne?
We do. Villages and hamlets get the same service as the bigger towns. We are based in East Grinstead and plan each visit so the job can be finished in one trip where possible.
Do I need planning permission?
It can do. Heat pumps and cooling-only units are treated differently, and so are flats, listed buildings and conservation areas. We point out anything that may need permission at the survey, and the council has the final say. This is general information, not legal advice.
What does the operator have to do under the F-gas rules?
The duties depend on how much refrigerant the system holds. Systems at or above 5 tCO2e need leak checks and records, and from 500 tCO2e automatic leak detection is required.
Who has to arrange F-Gas leak checks?
The operator of the equipment, working with qualified engineers. Larger systems need regular checks: at least every 12 months from 5 tCO2e and every 6 months from 50 tCO2e. We will work out which band applies to yours.
Does servicing affect my warranty?
Each manufacturer decides. Where servicing is a condition, a missed service could give the manufacturer grounds to refuse a claim and we will tell you what your brand asks for.
Will I get records for the system?
Yes. You get a written record of every visit, and any work on the refrigerant circuit goes in the F-Gas records. File them with the system’s paperwork.

Bigger systems bring extra duties: systems with an effective rated output over 12 kW need a TM44 inspection by an accredited energy assessor at least every 5 years. We can arrange it, prepare the system for it and fix what it finds.
When the building owner and the occupier are different, it’s worth checking the agreement for who looks after the system. We can quote either party, and the paperwork can go to both.
What a customer said
“Office air con broke down in the July heatwave. Called at 8am, engineer was here by noon and fixed within 2 hours. Brilliant emergency response. They now hold the service contract for the whole building.”
