Way: your questions answered
Does my air con in Way need a yearly service?
Usually once a year for homes, more often for busy business systems. Some manufacturers’ warranty terms ask for regular servicing, so it’s worth keeping the records.
Will you come out to Way?
Yes, and the size of the place makes no difference to how we work. We’re based in East Grinstead and plan each visit so the job can be finished in one trip where possible.
Which accreditations do you hold?
F-Gas certified, NICEIC approved and MCS certified for heat pumps, and we’re Checkatrade members. Our engineers also hold the individual F-gas qualifications needed to work on refrigerant.
Who has to arrange F-Gas leak checks?
The operator of the equipment, working with qualified engineers. Systems below 5 tCO2e fall outside the set leak check intervals, while larger ones need checks at least every 12 months, or every 6 months from 50 tCO2e. We’ll work out which band applies to yours.
Can landlords and managing agents book you?
Yes. We work for homeowners, landlords, letting and managing agents, and businesses of every size across London and the South East. Tell us who should receive the paperwork.
Do you offer emergency call-outs?
Yes. Our emergency line runs 24/7 for breakdowns that can’t wait. Ring 07833 053749 any time and explain the problem.
Which manufacturers do you install and repair?
We install and work on the leading makes, including Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Hitachi. Tell us the make and model and we’ll take it from there.
Air conditioning servicing for homes and businesses in Way
Every hour, an indoor unit draws the room’s air through its filter and over its coil again and again. Dust, fluff and anything else in the air ends up on those parts. A service clears it away, so the system can move air properly and the drain can do its job. Common call-outs are for weaker cooling than last year and warning lights on the indoor unit, on ceiling cassettes, ducted systems and multi-split systems.
Most systems around Way need servicing once a year, best done before summer.
Equipment warranty comes from the manufacturer, on its own terms, and we explain those terms on your quote. Terms differ from brand to brand, so we go through them with you rather than leave you to find the small print.

How we price air conditioning servicing
The survey or diagnosis tells us what the work involves. We look at:
- How many units are involved
- The condition of any existing system
- The electrical supply and whether a new circuit is needed
Typical ranges are on our prices page, but each job is priced on what it involves. For a fixed-price quote, call us on 07833 053749 or fill in the contact form, and we will explain what it covers.
Helping us quote
Before you ask for a quote, gather:
- The rating plate or label on any existing unit
- Any previous service or F-Gas records
- Where the outdoor unit is, or where you’d like it
To get a fixed-price quote, call 07833 053749 or email us and tell us about the property and what you need. Photos help a lot. You will hear back from us the same working day.
Servicing in Way: local notes
Way is within about 3 miles of the coast. Near the sea, rinsing and checking the outdoor coil for corrosion is an important part of every service. VOA council tax data show about 33% of homes in the Way area were built in 2000 or later, and the last census (2021) found about 65% of households in detached or semi-detached houses. Wall bracket, ground pad or flat roof: knowing where the outdoor unit is saves time on the day. Historic England lists about 4 buildings and structures within half a mile of the centre of Way, including Wayborough Manor (grade II*). We keep it in mind in case a new outdoor unit is ever needed, as protected buildings can need consent for that.
If you run premises near Minster station, ask about servicing several units in one visit. For a school like Minster Church of England Primary School, maintenance visits can be booked out of term.

Why it’s worth doing now in Way
For most systems at or over 5 tCO2e, leak checks are a legal requirement, not a choice. Skipping a year leaves a gap in the records the rules expect you to keep and it’s far easier to stay on schedule. Booking before summer means the work in Way is done before the hot weather.
Every job is different, so we price each one individually. The system, the access, the pipe routes and the parts involved all make a difference.

What happens on the day
Anything involving refrigerant is handled by F-Gas qualified engineers, as the law requires, while the electrical side is covered by our NICEIC approval. So on the day, you don’t need a separate electrician for the electrical side. On site, it takes an hour or two for most homes, and longer where there are several indoor units or a ducted system. Somewhere like Way, it helps to know about lanes, gates and where to park.
- It begins with a few questions about the make, the rooms served and any symptoms.
- Inside, the filters, coil and drain tray of each indoor unit are cleaned.
- The outdoor unit gets its own clean, with leaves and debris cleared away.
- We test the electrics, the controls and how the refrigerant circuit is performing.
- If a repair is needed, you hear why and what it costs before anything is done.
Preparing for the visit
- Name a contact who can meet us at the agreed time
- Unlock any gate, garage or side passage we need
- Find the manual or the paperwork for the system, if you have it

Aftercare tips
After the visit, a few habits help:
- Check what your manufacturer’s warranty asks of you
- Book the service at least once a year
- Do not wait for a small drip to become a leak
If we find a fault, we explain it and give you a price to put it right. Nothing extra is done without your say-so and the decision is always yours.
Act on the early signs. Odd noises, smells and drips are cheaper to sort out before they grow than once the system has stopped.
