Air conditioning servicing for homes and businesses in Ramsdean
Servicing is also a chance to spot faults early. We listen to the fans, look at the pipework and insulation, test the controls and check the electrical connections are sound, then explains anything that looks like it could cause a problem later. If the problem is a service that’s overdue and a system that struggles to cool on warm days, we can sort it out.
Several units at a home near Ramsdean can be serviced in one visit, which keeps it simple.
Some manufacturers make regular servicing by a qualified engineer a condition of their warranty. If that applies to your system, booking the service on time keeps the record straight and each visit is recorded.

What else we do in Ramsdean
What affects the cost of air conditioning servicing
You will get a fixed price before we start. It takes into account:
- What state the existing equipment is in
- Whether it’s a one-off job or part of a maintenance contract
- How easy the units are to reach
The pipe route, the height of the units and how we reach them can all change the price. Each of those is built into the quote and give you a fixed price before work begins.
Before you get in touch
Before you ask for a quote, gather:
- Where the outdoor unit is, or where you’d like it
- The postcode and whether it’s a home, flat or business
- The remote or wall controller showing any error
Every quote shows the VAT clearly, and the rate that applies to your job is stated. VAT can differ between homes and businesses and between kinds of work, so we confirm it in writing rather than guess. To get one, phone 07833 053749 or fill in the contact form.
Ramsdean questions
Do you cover Ramsdean for air conditioning servicing?
Yes. Ramsdean is one of the places we cover. Just phone us on 07833 053749 with a few details.
Do you cover smaller places like Ramsdean?
Yes, smaller places are covered as well as towns. Visits to smaller places are planned so the engineer arrives with what the job needs.
Do you provide F-Gas records?
Yes. It’s the record a manufacturer or the next engineer will ask to see: the date, the work, and any refrigerant added or recovered.
Do you offer maintenance contracts?
Yes. Send details of the systems and how they’re used, and we’ll suggest a schedule with a fixed price. That can include the leak checks the F-gas rules require for larger systems.
Do you work on all makes?
Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Hitachi and others. For a new system, we suggest the make and model that suit the property and explain why.
Is an F-gas leak check a legal requirement for my system?
It depends on the system’s tonnes of CO2 equivalent (tCO2e). At 5 to under 50 tCO2e, it’s at least every 12 months; at 50 to under 500 tCO2e, every 6 months. Hermetically sealed systems holding less than 10 tCO2e do not need them.
Will you regas my air conditioning on a service?
Refrigerant is only added after the leak that caused the loss has been dealt with. Topping up without finding the leak means the gas escapes again, so we don’t recommend it.
What happens on the day
Our engineers bring the tools, gauges and access equipment the job needs. You only need to give us clear access to the units, or their planned positions, and to the fuse board. On site, the work takes a short visit for one split system, longer for multi-split, ducted or commercial plant. Seeing the property in pictures first means the trip to Ramsdean can be planned properly.
- You tell us the brand, the number of indoor units and any symptoms.
- The indoor units are opened up and the filters, coils and drain trays cleaned.
- Outside, the coil is cleaned, the fan checked and the area cleared.
- Electrical connections, controls and refrigerant performance are tested.
- If a repair is needed, you hear why and what it costs before anything is done.
Preparing for the visit
- Mention any roof access, ladders or high-level work
- Tell us about parking and loading
- Keep pets out of the rooms we’re working in
Getting a price
Photos are the fastest route to a quote: the inside and outside of the property where the work is, plus the rating plate of any unit already there. Tell us the address and what you need, and simple jobs can often be priced without a visit.

Ramsdean is about 52 miles from central London, well within the area we cover from our base in East Grinstead. That only matters for replacements, where a new outdoor unit on a protected building can need consent.

Looking after your system
So the system stays in good health:
- Clear leaves and debris from around the outdoor unit
- Call about new noises or smells rather than waiting
- Keep the filters clean between visits
When we finish, we leave a record of the visit, with the checks carried out and anything we’d recommend. File it with the system’s manual and warranty documents so you have the whole history together.
The single most useful thing you can do is keep the filters clean. Most indoor units have filters you can slide out and rinse, and the manual shows how.
