Air conditioning servicing in Holyport, Windsor and Maidenhead
We cover Holyport for air conditioning servicing. Diagnosis first, a fixed price and proper paperwork when we finish.
- Leak check records that need bringing up to date
- Frost or ice on the refrigerant pipes
- Water dripping from the indoor unit
Aftercare tips
Every system needs looking after, and most of it is easy. A few tips:
- Keep the filters clean between visits
- Clear leaves and debris from around the outdoor unit
- Hold on to every service report
After the service, you get a record of what was done, listing the work, the checks and any recommendations. Keep it with the manufacturer’s paperwork so the service history is in one place.
Check that the condensate pipe outside can still drain. If the outlet is blocked, the water has to go somewhere, and that is typically back towards the indoor unit.
How we handle air conditioning servicing in Holyport
A manufacturer’s warranty can come with conditions, and regular servicing may be one of them. Each brand sets its own terms, and we can explain what yours says. You get a record of each service to keep with the warranty paperwork. If you are dealing with a service that’s overdue and air conditioning that isn’t cooling as well as it did, we can sort it out.
We plan the trip to Holyport and can service more than one unit in one visit.
Warranty periods vary by brand and by product. Daikin, for instance, gives a standard 2 years on split air conditioning, with longer extensions only on its air-to-water heat pumps. Whatever the brand, the manufacturer’s terms are explained on your quote.

How the visit works
Refrigerant work is done by qualified engineers working for an F-Gas certified company, and electrical work is done by us as NICEIC approved contractors. On the day, both are in the same hands. The work takes an hour or two for most homes, and longer where there are several indoor units or a ducted system. If a lane or gateway near Holyport is tight for a van, let us know and we will plan for it.
- When you book, we ask what make it is, how many rooms it serves and whether anything seems wrong.
- On arrival, a quick performance check shows how well it’s working before the clean.
- Filters, coils and the condensate drain are cleaned and cleared.
- Next come the terminals, the controller and the refrigerant side, with a leak check if the system’s size makes one a legal duty.
- We leave you a record of the service and explain anything we found.
Before we arrive
- Give us access to the outside wall, roof or yard where the outdoor unit sits
- Tell us about access, such as roof hatches, high walls or locked plant areas
- Move furniture away from the wall where we’ll be working
Getting a quote
VAT is set out clearly on every quote, and the rate that applies to your job is stated. VAT can differ between homes and businesses and between kinds of work, so we confirm it on the quote. For a fixed-price quote, phone us on 07833 053749, or email if that’s easier.
Advice
Air conditioning servicing in Holyport: the local picture
Holyport’s centre falls inside a designated conservation area. Listed buildings are part of the picture here: about 18 within half a mile of the centre, such as The George Inn (grade II). Swapping an outdoor unit on a listed building or in a conservation area may need consent, so we’ll flag it if a replacement is needed. The 2021 Census found about 75% of households in detached or semi-detached houses. Wall bracket, ground pad or flat roof: knowing where the outdoor unit is saves time on the day.
For a school like Holyport CofE Primary School, maintenance visits can be booked out of term. Most homes book one service a year; busy offices and shops may want more.

Common questions in Holyport
Will you come out to Holyport?
Yes, smaller places are covered as well as towns. Send a few details and photos, and we reply the same working day.
How often should air conditioning in Holyport be serviced?
Once a year suits most home systems. Larger systems holding 5 tonnes CO2 equivalent or more also need a leak check at least every 12 months under the F-gas rules.
Can I do the refrigerant work myself?
Not the refrigerant work. Under the F-gas rules, it must be done by qualified engineers from a certified company, and a new circuit is notifiable under Part P unless a registered electrician, such as a NICEIC approved contractor, does it.
Does my air conditioning need an F-gas leak check?
The GOV.UK rules set leak checks at least every 12 months for 5 to under 50 tCO2e and every 6 months for 50 to under 500 tCO2e. Fitting leak detection lets you double the interval and we’ll confirm which band applies.
Do you work on all makes?
The main ones, including Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Hitachi. For new systems, we recommend a brand and model to suit the job and tell you why.
Will servicing keep my manufacturer’s warranty valid?
The warranty comes from the manufacturer, on its own terms. Check your brand’s conditions, which may mention servicing, and keep each service record with the warranty paperwork.
When will I hear back?
The same working day. After that, we agree a survey, diagnosis or installation date that suits you, with a fixed price before work starts.
What you can do yourself, and what needs us
Owners can handle the everyday basics: keep the outdoor unit clear of leaves, plants and clutter, check the settings and the remote, and follow the cleaning the manual describes. Opening up the units, the electrics and the refrigerant circuit are a job for us.
Write down what you notice: error codes, noises, drips, smells or a drop in performance. It helps us diagnose quickly, and a photo or a short video of the display is even better.
What happens if it’s left?
A musty smell from the system is rarely something that clears on its own. The cure is cleaning where the dirt has built up instead of covering it up. A system that is left with a fault, or without a service, typically costs more to run.
The price reflects the work, not guesswork. That is why every job is looked at first, and the price is agreed before work begins.
