About our air conditioning servicing in Bridge
Air conditioning pulls room air through a filter and across a cold coil many times an hour. Dust, fluff and anything else in the air ends up on those parts. A service clears it away, so the system can move air properly and the drain can do its job. If you are dealing with frost or ice on the refrigerant pipes and a system that struggles to cool on warm days, we can sort it out.
Around Bridge, outdoor units sit close to gardens and greenery, so leaves, seeds and cobwebs collect on the coil. A yearly service clears them.
Equipment warranty comes from the manufacturer, on its own terms, and we explain those terms on your quote. Terms differ from brand to brand, and we are happy to talk you through them.

Bridge: your questions answered
How often do you service systems in Bridge?
Usually once a year for homes, more often for busy business systems. Check your manufacturer’s warranty terms too, as some of them make regular servicing a condition.
Can you do air conditioning servicing in Bridge?
Yes, Bridge is within the area we cover. To start, phone us on 07833 053749 or drop us a line with a few pictures.
Does the manufacturer’s warranty require regular servicing?
That’s down to your manufacturer’s terms, which vary. If servicing is required, a regular service record is the evidence and we will help you check what applies.
Which accreditations do you hold?
As the law requires for refrigerant work, we’re an F-Gas certified company. We are also NICEIC approved, MCS certified for heat pumps and Checkatrade members.
Do I get paperwork after the visit?
Yes. You get a written record of each visit, including F-Gas records for any refrigerant work. Keep them with the manual and the warranty documents.
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
Yes. From a single let flat to offices, shops and public buildings, we work the same way: a look first, a fixed-price quote and written records.
Why does F-Gas certification matter?
F-Gas certification shows a company is approved to work on equipment containing fluorinated gases, such as the refrigerant in air conditioning and heat pumps. In Great Britain, that certification is a legal requirement, not an optional extra, and we hold it.

Filters
When filters fill with dust, less air moves through the system. That makes it harder for the system to reach the temperature you’ve set, which is why filters are always part of the service.
Wall-mounted, ducted and cassette units
Wall-mounted units are the most common indoor unit in homes. They open up for the filters, coil and fan to be cleaned and the drain is cleared at the same visit.
Keeping systems in Bridge running
About 79% of households live in detached or semi-detached houses, according to Census 2021 figures. Tell us where your outdoor unit is and how to reach it, so we can plan the visit. The Bridge Conservation Area is within about a third of a mile of the centre of Bridge. In the mile around Bridge’s centre, 6 conservation areas have been designated. About 42 listed entries lie within half a mile of central Bridge, Church of St Peter (grade II*) among them. We keep it in mind in case a new outdoor unit is ever needed, as protected buildings can need consent for that.
Site managers at schools like Bridge and Patrixbourne Church of England Primary School can have the site’s units serviced during a holiday. Most homes book one service a year; busy offices and shops may want more.

Some problems need a different service or another trade:
- Pipework or drainage that was badly installed in the first place
- A unit that was undersized when it was chosen
- Major component failures that call for a repair visit

The process
Protection comes first: sheets over the floor and any furniture nearby and nothing is moved without asking you. Then the electrics are made safe and the work begins. The work on site takes an hour or two for most homes, and longer where there are several indoor units or a ducted system, and we clear up before we go. A few pictures help us make the most of a visit to Bridge.
- We ask about the system: the make, the number of indoor units and any problems you’ve noticed.
- On arrival, a quick performance check shows how well it’s working before the clean.
- Filters, coils and the condensate drain are cleaned and cleared.
- Electrical connections, controls and refrigerant performance are checked, with an F-gas leak check where the system requires one.
- You get a service record, with anything that needs attention explained.
Getting ready for the visit
- Let us know if the units are on a roof, a high wall or in a locked area
- Mention any managing agent or landlord rules we need to follow
- Make sure someone can let us in at the agreed time
Ask for a quote
Here’s what helps us quote: where the property is and what kind of building it is, a few photos, the make and model of any existing system and anything you’ve noticed, such as an error code or a noise. Then phone us on 07833 053749.

Aftercare tips
Aftercare is straightforward, and it helps at the next service:
- Keep to an annual service, or more often if needed
- Read the warranty conditions for your brand
- Clean the filters between services, as the manual describes
If you’d rather not keep track of service dates yourself, ask about a maintenance contract. We agree the visits and the cost up front so you do not have to remember.
Cleaning the filters between services helps a great deal. On many wall-mounted units, the filters lift out easily, and the manual shows how.
From one of our customers
“Office air con broke down in the July heatwave. Called at 8am, engineer was here by noon and fixed within 2 hours. Brilliant emergency response. They now hold the service contract for the whole building.”
