Air conditioning repair in Windsor: the local picture
The centre of Windsor lies within a conservation area. Listed buildings are part of the picture here: about 7 within half a mile of the centre, such as St Annes House Convent of St John the Baptist (grade II). For most visits that makes no difference. It only comes up when an outdoor unit has to be replaced on a protected building. About 23 miles out from central London, Windsor is part of the South East area we work across.
When cooling fails at a school like St Edward's Catholic First School, we can time non-urgent repair work around lessons. If the display shows a code, write it down: it helps narrow down the fault.

About our air conditioning repair in Windsor
We repair air conditioning on all the main brands, including Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Hitachi. Systems fitted by other installers are fine too and the make and model help us prepare. The work covers ducted systems, wall-mounted split systems and VRF systems, and common reasons people get in touch are ice forming on the indoor unit or pipes and poor airflow even with clean filters.
Around Windsor, the faults we hear about most are weak cooling, dripping indoor units and error codes. Plenty of them come down to dirty filters, a blocked drain or a leak.
Warranty on the equipment is the manufacturer’s own, on the manufacturer’s terms, and we set them out on your quote. Terms differ from brand to brand, and we are happy to talk you through them.

Why act early in Windsor
If your system uses R22, the options are narrower. R22 depletes the ozone layer, and servicing with new R22 isn’t allowed, which normally makes replacement the sensible route after a refrigerant fault. We explain why and quote for a new system if that’s the right answer. A dirty or faulty system works harder and costs more to run.
What you pay reflects the actual work. That’s why every job is looked at first, and why the quote is fixed before we start.
Why us?
- NICEIC approved electrical contractors
- Fixed-price quotes after a survey or pictures

What air conditioning repair cannot fix
We’ll always give you a straight diagnosis, so here’s what this work cannot put right:
- A discontinued model with no parts available
- A supply fault outside the property
- Heat gains the system was never designed for
Not sure which it is? You can phone us on 07833 053749 and we’ll tell you honestly.
What the work covers
- Heat pumps
- Multi-split systems
- Ceiling cassettes
- Wall-mounted split systems
- Ducted systems
- VRF systems
Different systems, different jobs
Wall-mounted split systems
The indoor and outdoor units of a split communicate through a cable. A break in that communication normally brings up an error code, and we test the cable, the boards and the connections to find the cause.
Circuit boards and sensors
Testing comes before any part is replaced, so you don’t pay for a part that wasn’t the problem. Parts may need ordering, and we tell you if so.
How it works
The visit goes in the diary at a time that works for you, and we keep you posted if anything changes. On arrival, the engineer compares the job with the survey, your pictures or the details you gave us. If something is different, we talk it through with you before carrying on. After that, it takes as long as the fault needs, from a quick fix to a return visit for parts. Photos of the room and the outside wall help us plan a job in Windsor.
- Diagnose: test the system until the cause is clear.
- Then the prescription: what’s wrong and what it will cost to put right.
- If the repair isn’t worth doing, we say so and explain the options.
- The treatment: the repair itself, with any leak found and fixed before recharging.
- The sign-off: the system tested in operation and the work recorded.
Getting ready for the visit
- Let us know where the consumer unit is
- Mention any parking restrictions near the property
- Clear the space around the indoor unit, or where it will go

FAQs for Windsor
Is there an emergency air con repair line for Windsor?
Windsor is within our area, and the emergency line is open 24/7. A diagnosis call-out starts from £75 + VAT, and knowing the brand and the symptoms helps us plan it.
Do you cover Windsor for air conditioning repair?
Yes. Windsor is one of the places we cover. Tell us a little about the job and we’ll take it from there.
Do you work on all makes?
We work with the leading brands, including Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Hitachi. Send us the make and model if you have it.
Will skipping a service affect the warranty?
Check the manufacturer’s terms. Some manufacturers make regular servicing by a qualified engineer a condition of the warranty, so check the terms or ask us. Keep every service record either way.
Are you F-Gas certified?
We are an F-Gas certified company, NICEIC approved for electrical work and MCS certified for heat pumps. We’re also Checkatrade members.
Why is my air conditioning leaking water?
Normally a blocked or kinked condensate drain, a failed condensate pump or a unit that isn’t level. Ice on the coil from low airflow or low refrigerant can also melt and drip. Switch the unit off and call 07833 053749 or use the quote form.
Is it legal to repair an R410A system?
Yes. Any leak is repaired before recharging, and the work is recorded and we’ll give you an honest view on whether it’s worth it.
